I am thoroughly frustrated with the service I received. I came in early on Friday requesting my package be delivered the next day to my Aunt in Florida. I was charged $89.00 for next day air. The package did not arrive until Monday. I called the UPS store and was first told by the manager that she would review and call me back Within 30 minutes. After an hour and a half I called her back. And then proceeded to have to provide her with all the information from the cashier who helped me to the time that I dropped it off etc. She stated that I did not pay for overnight delivery.She continued to tell me I picked the wrong category. I reminded her several times that I came into her establishment requesting that my package be delivered on the following day. I was told by the cashier that it would be delivered by the end of the next day. The manager proceeded to tell me that this was human error and that her cashier was young but offered me no refund. I requested that she have the store owner called me back. And then called UPS directly and spoke with their representative who explained to me that next day air saver which was picked to send my package is only available Monday through Friday. He stated that the store representative should have notified me of this. That a three day delivery would've cost me approximately $40 and that would have been the more appropriate charge. I was not offered anything from the UPS store manager to make up for my overcharge that was done by their young, Inexperienced cashier. I'm not sure if this person was new but Matt was the one assisted on taking my package in for return to Amazon. Amazon offers multiple package returns under one barcode. No other employee at that location or stores gave me push back like Matt did and in a condescending way. He said I cannot return multiple packages under one barcode and that each package needs a separate tracking/transaction number or else my package will be LOST. Well you're wrong. It's ok if you said "i'm not sure, let me ask" but you were adamant that you were right. read more

With the holidays surrounding all of us .. I'm sure everyone had to send something in the mail or even UPS. I went to post office and was trying to send some alcoholic beverages but they informed me that you can't send liquids. Shit what was I thinking when they asked me what was in the box and how much was the approximate value. Usually I ask questions first before I answer, questions like ... - Why you being so nosy? - Will there be dogs sniffing my package? - What's it to ya? - You want street value or the amount I got it for? - Why do you ask? - What CAN'T I say is in the package? Well now you know, you can't send any liquids. If you mess up at USPS, find your nearest UPS store and just call it food. Service is great here .. you don't even have to give your real name and address if you don't want to, they didn't check. All kidding aside. If you need to send a package because you don't want to drive a gift, the UPS store is a great alternative to the USPS. I sent something and it arrived the next day ... yeah, I know I was only sending to LA but still. $10 for a 15lb package, not bad ... is it? I'm not familiar with pricing of shipments but it sure beats driving in traffic. read more

Went in to drop off a package that i needed scanned. Only one person working who is in the middle of doing fingerprints for someone. There were two other people ahead of me. The lady working at the store didn't even bother to say I will be with you in a minute or acknowledge that there were three people waiting. She just kept doing what she was doing. Needless to say after waiting 10 mins, I left as well as two others who were also waiting and were met with the employee's silence. If there's anything I can't stand it's poor customer service and by not acknowledging people you are giving poor customer service. Fix yourself!!! In addition if you're going to offer a service that takes a long time knowing that you have customers that come in and drop stuff off on their way to work or wherever, then you might want to employ a second person at the counter. I have a PO Box at the UPS Store at 650 N Rose Drive. I had a christmas gift that was scheduled to be delivered on Christmas Eve. I received the delivery notification and went to pick up the package at the store. However, the package was nowhere to be found. Garrett was the employee and really bent over backwards to try and help and went so far as to call the post office and have the mail carrier come back to the store and show him where it was dropped. However, the package was still nowhere to be found. Garrett called the owner, Bardia, who drove from Irvine to view the store's security cameras. Meanwhile the store was busy with a last minute rush at closing time, but Garrett was doing everything he could to help me. Once Bardia viewed the cameras he ascertained a UPS driver accidentally picked up my package with hiis outgoing run. Many business owners probably would have passed it off as UPS's problem, but Bardia took it on himself to drive to the distribution center, retrieve the package, and deliver it to my home. Worst UPS EXPERIENCE EVER. UPS is earning a bad reputation with this franchisee of UPS. Even when you pay for the UPS shipping already, they charge you again $2.15 for every label printed. The people who work at this location are rude and unwelcoming. They make me feel like they don't want to work and aren't happy I brought in shipments. If you walk in you are not greeted, in fact you can say hi and these people will not even respond. Extremely rude. Complete waste of time. I came to this location to send out a package with a prepaid label. I verified with UPS that this location will except it. Upon arrival I was told that I would have to pay to have the package sent out. I showed them the copy of the email that clearly states there is no charge and they could except it. (Updated July 2020) I had a surgery couple weeks ago so I requested mail forwarding service so I don't need to drive around to check mails and can focus on recovery. But they kept failing deliver the mails on time. Twice I had to call and get their attention that they didn't do their job. Slow AND EXPENSIVE for lamination. (Really? Three seventy-four to laminate a piece of regular 8"-by-11" paper? And why did it take five minutes to do? I was the only customer in the store.) But what really rustles my whiskers is the fact that this store doesn't carry paper bags for regular-sized documents. As a result, the poor young clerk spent three minutes trying to shoehorn my newly laminated document into a teeny-tiny bag. WTF is with a store featuring office products NOT having a variety of bags for their customers. There are a crapload of UPS locations in the area. Keep moving. read more

Update 2/22/16: Susan from The UPS Store corporate connected with me through Facebook and offered to look into my situation. Today, Monday, she emailed the owner of the store and filed a formal complaint for me. She called and left me a voicemail. I had emailed the owner on Friday explaining my situation. This evening the owner called me and offered a full refund. I don't know if he was responding to Susan at corporate or my email but I'm grateful for some positive resolution. I appreciate Susan's help in the matter but don't think I'll be returning to this store. I had to put in a lot of effort for a resolution. The owner should empower the employees to make things right. I've upgraded review from one star to two but can't bring myself to give three stars because of the hassle. My son lives in San Diego and needed an official copy of his birth certificate as proof of ID for a potential job. I needed to get it to him ASAP. I went in to this store at 6pm on Wednesday and asked the gentleman what my options were. I settled on next day delivery before close of day(8pm) and paid him $26. The next day I decided to track the delivery and discovered that it would not be delivered until close of day FRIDAY, not Thursday as I had expected. My son needed the document so that he could go in to the potential employer Friday and start the hiring process. His opportunity was now jeopardized. I called the store just before closing Thursday night and was told to come in the next day, that they were essentially closed and there was nothing to be done. This obviously was no help to me so I emailed UPS customer service. No help. I was told that I needed to resolve my problem with the store. Friday after work I went in to the store and spoke with the same man that helped me on Wednesday. I asked him why, if I paid for next day delivery, the document wasn't going to be delivered until Friday. After doing some research, he explained that the cut off time for UPS pickup is 5pm and since I came in at 6pm I missed that cut off, therefore the package was not delivered Thursday as I expected, but actually went to UPS Thursday and thus was to be delivered Friday by close of day. I told him had I known this I would not have paid $26 for what was essentially two day delivery. Explaining the situation with my son, I said the only thing I wanted now was a refund, since I did not get what I paid for, and was not aware of the 5pm cut off time(he did not mention this on Wednesday). He immediately consulted a female employee, I assume the manager, and after they conferred in the back in hushed tones, she came back and told me. apologetically, that there was nothing they could do for me and gave me the business card for the owner of the store, Bardia. I now have an email out to Bardia, and one to UPS corporate, but do not expect a favorable resolution. I am very disappointed by my experience. I think it was the male employee's responsibility to inform me Wednesday of the 5pm cut off time and that the document would not arrive until Friday, so that I could have made a fully informed decision. He essentially agreed with me as I was leaving. I just moved to the area and this store would be very convenient for me to do my postal business, but I will not be back and do not plan to use UPS again, having had much better experiences with Fed Ex, even though they are much less convenient. This place is a rip off and very unprofessional. I needed to return two ladies t shirts. I wanted to purchase an envelope and to send it back. They tried to tell me to do UPS it would be $18. So I asked about Postal and they claimed $14. I said the post office would not charge that much. The guy says that is why they are going out of business. So I said I will go to my post office. But I had used their envelope so he says I owe $4.31 for it. I would pay half that somewhere else. So I went to my post office and I paid $7 to mail it with tracking and the envelope would have been $1.94. To add more to this...I sent a moving box to my daughter out of this location. I put my daughters old address but she only moved out 2 weeks prior and her friends still live there. The box never arrived. So the clerk from Placentia calls me and tells me that it was my fault that the box did not arrived because I put the wrong address. I explained it did not matter the box never arrived because my daughters friends still live there. He says I cannot make a claim. The driver said he dropped it off at the back of the house. The house has a fence with no access to the rear. The clerk was very very unprofessional and disrespectful. We have taken this up with UPS. read more

This is one of those stores that are tucked within a shopping center, that you continually drive past and don't think about. Until you need to utilize it, and it opens your eyes further. I had to return my AT&T U-Verse equipment and was told to simply drop it off at my nearest UPS store and they'd ship it out free, with my account number. When I walked into the store, it was open, clean, and neatly organized. I was greeted by a gentleman, in a uniformed shirt, and he knew I was there to return my items. He entered my account number, confirmed my information, and assured me I could track its return progress. There were more services this tiny store offered, than I could imagine. They make keys, engraved plates, labels, have PO Boxes, sell basic school/office supplies, of course mail packages, offer copying and fax services, sell greeting cards, and more! I used to drive out of my way to get those things taken care of, and here I have a gem of a location with goods and services, within walking distance of my home. My sister and I needed important paperwork notarized and securely shipped off in a timely fashion on a Saturday. We are so happy we came to this UPS store location. Cynthia Robles patiently walked us through our paperwork, was quick to help out with a mistake we made with the store's email and printer so everything was in order, notarized and an extra copy for our own records. The manager charged each of us 1/2 so we were set for tax time! For gift giving time, they even have cute boxes and greeting cards. Terrible experience and lack of service. Online hours and ups phone rep said the hours of this location were until 7:00 PM M-F. I show up at 6:05 with two packages already labeled that I just needed to drop off. The door is locked, no updated hours posted and the guy inside just holds his hands up indicating 6.
