Poor service in general. Had my husband drop off an Amazon package for return with QR code for me b/c I had my kids in the car. It was in a plastic package. They won't accept the package and offer to sell him a package to re-pack. There was not a box when the shipman came, it was in an amazon's plastic bag. So not sure why they can't accept the item with QR code in a plastic wrap. My husband came out and told me they won't accept it. I said I can wrap it in paper wrap b/c I have it in the car if plastic is not ok. I was told it need to be in an "amazon box". I told him, as long as it's in the package, I see no issue and amazon said to pack it, not specify in a box or plastic pack. Then he proceed to tell me, "if you want me to take it the way it is then I can this tim". Then, why start all the BS in the first place trying to sell me packing materials?! This never happened at other UPS location except this location. And certainly not the first time we send things back via UPS. I didn't want this person behind me to wait while I reason with him, so I left. But would not recommend service here. They don't know what they are doing, unreasonable and rude customer service. read more

Go into the Marriott parking lot, then follow the small signs leading the way to the UPS store. Hard to find if you don't know this, as others have said. You'll have to take a parking ticket, but the store will reimburse it. There are a lot of bad reviews here, but I just wanted to put in that Cory (maybe Cody?), was fast, nice, and super helpful, and I had a good experience there. read more

Jason is seriously the best! He cares about your package arriving there safely and will make recommendations and go out of his way to help reassure you that he is doing his job correctly. Wow, was this place hard to find or what??? I kept driving up and down Mission Blvd and for the life of me could NOT find this place. Would it kill them to put a little sign on the street indicating that UPS is located in the Marriott???? Even when you go inside you have to reach the roundabout before seeing the sign which is about the size of a stop sign only much shorter and a lot less noticeable, so irritating! With the bad location and lack of directions aside, this place has pretty bad customer service. I called them to ask them where the place was located and the guy seemed distracted and barely even answered me where it was. When I got to the tiny office they call a "UPS store" at the side door of the Marriott (it really resembled the backdoor of a club or somewhere you imagine drug dealers dwell) I opened the door and almost knocked down one of the customers because apparently the tiny office of a store can only fit about 3 people in there at one time (this is including the employee that works there). The guy who was working there took one look at me and just said, "just put the package there and we'll take care of it". Ok dude, thanks for the greeting. Overall, it's a wham, bam, thank you mam' kind of place. You get your stuff shipped and taken care of here but if you want anything else resembling customer service or a big store like FedEx...forget it. read more

Service was so-so when I went. The person wasn't rude or mean by any means, but not particularly friendly either. Everything got taken of just fine though and I did feel like they knew what they were doing. They answered all the questions I had. It's not obvious where in the hotel its located. If you come through the front, pass the check-in desk on the right and you will see a hallway after it (also on the right). The UPS Store is down this hallway, look for the UPS sign. I read all the Yelp! reviews before visiting this location. Someone must be listening as it is no longer hard to find. There are signs pointing the way from the moment you drive onto the hotel property, which I did this morning (2/23/18). There is a windowless door from the outside to enter the UPS store. You do not have to go inside the hotel to get there. The ticket you receive from the parking dispenser when you turn right to go between the hotel and the parking garage, is good for 15 minutes. I was in and out of there within 5 minutes. It was quick and convenient. read more

I frequent this location to ship amazon or ebay items since it is near my work. The staff is great. The girl at the desk in the morning is very friendly and helpful. Recently, UPS damaged my item in transit and denied my claim. Jason (owner) spent the time to help resolve the issue and reverse the decision. So went down there today on a Saturday at 3:20, besides being very hard to find and get into, you have to drive through their parking gate to get back there, although I guess they validate or something because it says UPS customers park free. Anyways walk up to the door only to find that it is locked and no one answers the knock. Walk all the way to the front of the hotel to complain and am given some key pass for the gate. No one tells me how to use it but finally make it out just unable to ship my item. read more

I didn't know the Marriott plaza had a UPS store until some lady was driving around my work building and asked where it was at. I yelped and read the reviews mentioning Marriott and helped her out. The place is in the around the corner on the left side. You will have to enter the parking area, and parking is validated by the store. Friendly customer service and definitely easy to talk to. I ordered speakers that did not work properly. I had to mail them back so I could get my money back. La-La was working this morning and was very helpful. She looked at shipping the speakers together versus separately, and saved me $30 in the process. Location was set in an odd area, but this made it even more better for us as it seemed like a secret spot! Nestled in a little corner of a Hotel near Great America and Levi's Stadium. Even with a game about to start and many cars trying to get in the area to park, we got to the UPS Store in less than 5 minutes from the entrances. We were there to have some papers signed and notarized, upon entering the store we were greeted very quickly and did not have to wait. Place was very clean and the owner was very professional and also very pleasant to talk to. To make things even easier for us to leave as there is a gate to leave the parking lot, the owner walked us out to get that gate open so we didn't have to wait to call to get the gate up. I can tell you that this is not the last time we will use this establishment as it will be our go to. Thank you for the great experience at your store and even though I was going to keep it a secret, I will tell everyone about your store as you deserve more business coming your way! This has to be the most unprofessional customer service person I have ever talked to. The asian girl in her 20s seemed to be completely zoned out, refused to give receipt and refused to give me my package back. I almost called the cops to charge her with theft. This store tried to charge me $1 per package that I wanted to drop off. Really! Seriously? $1 per package in addition to the shipping fee which I already prepaid when I created my shipping label on the UPS site? They also charge $1 per package if you need a confirmation (in case you are dropping off for someone else). What a bad business decision. I went to another UPS Store and they did not charge me anything and shipped my packages without any questions. I wonder what made them decide to charge this extra fee? Maybe they could not handle the many customers and want less customers? Well, that problem will be solved quickly, I guess. read more

I got myself turned around in their entry area / parking structure entrance a few times, saw no signage whatsoever leading me in the right direction, and ended up Googling another UPS drop location and went there instead. Most Unprofessional + Irresponsible service in the whole world. The person (a young girl in early 20s) sitting there has absolutely no idea what her responsibility or a customer service is. She tells me to put the box around the corner. But the definition of the corner is totally ambiguous. In spite of asking her 10 times to show me where exactly to put the box-- she refused. She tried to call the manager instead to show where to put the box. The manager never showed up even after waiting for 6 minutes. She threw away my receipt in the trash. When I asked for for it she gave me the wrong receipt. This is a clear evidence of why the US is 56th in the education in the world. This kind of service can be expected only in some remotest parts of the 3rd world. Even a high school dropout is expected to have the basic decency and professionalism. DO NOT EVER THINK OF THIS UPS Store EVER!!!!!!! Of course this says something about the UPS too. Last time I tried to ask the shipping charges-- 3 UPS stores gave me 3 different prices-- all of them higher than what was quoted on the ups website. It was not hard to find this place as I read in the reviews that it was inside the Marriot. you just grab a ticket and the gate will open. I was able to get out with the same ticket within 5 mins without paying. The Store also give a green chaser ticket if you gona be longer than 5 mins so you don't have to pay for parking when you get out. Now about customer service.. Today I went to drop off a prepaid box and the asian girl told me she has to charge me a dollar for that. I said it's ok and took the package back. She still said, " It's only a dollar." I said no thanks. I can drop it off at a drop box. I know this is a private UPS store where they have to nickel and dime you for everything. According to UPS website as well as the business hours posted on the window of the office, they are supposed to open from 7am to 7pm on weekday. I came here to get a couple of things Notarized--it was super easy, the staff was super helpful. Thanks to Yelp, I knew that I'd have to enter the parking gate but that I could get validated parking. The signage made it very easy to enter the Marriott driveway off Mission College, and follow the signs around to the entrance to the UPS Store. I scheduled to deliver the package to this location. My first visit (after I receive the confirmation email from UPS) was empty-handed as the lady claimed I have to pick it up after 3 p.m and it will stay there until 7pm the same day. Then it will be returned back to UPS center. So my window of pickup is between 3-7. If I miss it, who knows where it'll go. I recommend UPS to close this location once for all to avoid damaging its reputation. To those who reviewed this location with good services, you must be disillusion. read more

As a private company i expect a one-stop-shop for mailing my parcels. They DO NOT the capability to handle perishable items. No dry ice, no ice pack, no cooler, no insulated packing material. So if i were to even provide my perishables FROZEN they still could not maintain the integrity of my package. So inconvenient. I asked the gentlement to phone their corporate office to confirm that NO UPS STORE HAS THE CAPABILITY TO HANDLE PERISHABLE ITEMS! read more

The UPS Store and UPS in general is the work shipping delivery service ever! I sent a package that had legal documents in it worth over $15,000 and it was supposed to get to the destination by 10:30a the next morning. UPS "forgot" to pick up my package and stick it on the plane to get to the final destination. This has caused me a significant inconvenience and they are not taking any ownership for their action. I would stay away from using UPS for any of your shipping needs and don't go to the UPS store in Santa Clara at the Marriott on Mission Blvd. They are a bunch of uneducated people who don't give a damn about anything but taking your money. read more
