Aldo at this UPS location is the DaVinci of packing!!! He successfully packed an acoustic bass guitar (with no case) and a 27 inch iMac (no original box) such that they gracefully survived the belly of two airplanes from California to Central America. I can not give enough stars! If you need anything delicate to move long distances, Aldo is your man! read more

The ups store further down Wilshire had a long line so I decided to go to this one. It was great timing because there was only one other customer. I already had m,y shipping label printed out so everything was a breeze. Nice service. They have metered street parking all around but lots of spots taken in the afternoon. I run an eBay Store so I ship all the time and this is the closest UPS Store to me. I've had nothing but pleasant interactions with all the employees across 100+ visits, but I had the displeasure of meeting the owner on my last (and final) visit. I was returning a defective TV to Amazon. Their instructions plainly stated that no label was needed and that the UPS Store would repackage for me. I repackaged the TV but didn't tape it. The owner tried to charge me $2 for tape. I showed him the Amazon instructions and he proceeded to argue with me about the definition of repackagung - they would box it (which I already did), but I needed to pay for supplies. I told him to f**k off and drove to the UPS Store down the street, that didn't employ such petty nickel and dime strategies. Unsurprisingly, the Yelp reviews are littered with similar run-ins with the owner. I'm fairly certain each franchise location gets paid by UPS corporate for every prepaid package they scan. Our neighborhood UPS store recently burned down and this one was closest to my rental. I wish I had read the reviews before going. The owner is indeed an incredibly rude person who does need seem to realize that UPS franchises are a dime a dozen and people have choice. I brought my box in and asked if he would print the label for me since my printer burned down with the rest of my house. He charged me three dollars for this privilege, which was neither here nor there as I didn't expect anything for free but noted rudely when I told I didn't have a printed that his house also burned down so he couldn't do anyone any favors. A nasty person. I won't return to this UPS and you shouldn't go either. read more

I'm sure this location does a fine job with traditional shipping and mailing services. That said, you may want to find another location for Amazon returns that require printing. As is his right, the owner has decided to charge 2USD to receive the email from Amazon. Then, on top of that, the usual, customary fee to print the email. My comment to him was "I guess the operational cost of receiving an email has increased significantly", to which he respectfully replied that he advised me beforehand (in fairness, he did: however, I misunderstood based on the ridiculousness of the logic). Be aware that other locations charge a flat fee of 1USD per transaction vs 2.40USD for the same, and decide accordingly. And, best wishes to the owner: these are franchisee locations and being an entrepreneur is very hard work!!! Update: just after posting, I read many other reviews and now see this is a much bigger issue. Proceed with caution. read more

Terrible and rude. Wouldn't take an Amazon package saying I needed a box when the Amazon instructions clearly said no box needed. Would've been no big deal, but the rudeness and finger pointing was out of control. No effort to try to explain or solve a problem - just telling me I was wrong. I tried to do a simple Amazon return in here this morning. The 2 guys were extremely unhelpful and neither could get their heads round the fact that 1 order had 2 separate packages. They would not help me or accept any explanation. I left and went to the ups store in Culver City who handled the return with no problems at all in less than a minute. Terrible customer service. Rude, obnoxious and insulting. And this was the owner, an older man with an accent. I would stay away from this place. The other reviews confirm this. Customer service is what it is all about. I have been coming to this store for a very long time. To my surprise Aldo is no longer working at this location. I asked the girl working there and she said he was on break. I have not seen him in the past few weeks and found out by another customer that he quit. They should really stop lying about it. This place will no longer be the same without Aldo. Convenient location but tricky business practices. I had my packages all boxed and wrapped and ready to go. I was told several times that I really needed to use their boxes because they couldn't guarantee that the label wouldn't fall off my own packaging. I even objected and said another UPS location had no problem with my packaging and was told that some stores are different and they won't accept it. So they measure my box then charge me for the next size box which also increases the shipping costs plus box. When I finally saw the receipt, I felt completely not happy. read more

I came in today to mail a package, as I assume most people do. It was an average experience, which is all I can hope for when going to a UPS store. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes and on my merry way. Parking: convenient. this is the key to this place. Meters up front, free parking in the back. Customer service: Good. There were two employees when I walked through the back. A man closest to me, who just looked up then looked back at whatever he was doing (hunched over the computer). The female employee greeting me enthusiastically and was able to help me throughout the transaction. She was helpful and informative. Pricing seemed standard. I checked all the major logistics companies and the pricing was standard. No hidden fees or up charges as was mentioned in another review. read more

Owner blocked in customer's car because she was nursing her infant daughter in the back seat of car. My daughter went to this UPS store earlier today to ship a package. Her 4 week old daughter was crying hysterically. After she left the store, she jumped in the back seat to give her baby a quick feed (literally 2 min). The owner didn't see my daughter was in the back seat of her car, and he deliberately blocked her in with his car. When the owner came back out of the store and seen my daughter in the driver's seat of her car, he came up to her car and started yelling at her saying the parking was for the ups store only. My daughter showed him the receipt to prove that she was a customer and tried to tell him she was in the back seat feeding her baby, but and he rolled his eyes and dismissed her by waving her away. Not only did this man's action demonstrate his lack of compassion to nursing mothers, but when he intentionally blocked in her car he displayed his cowardly and malicious nature. I hope UPS made aware of this man's unkind behavior. read more

WOW, MUST READ, please what ever you do dont give your money to this store I make an appointment to have a live scan finger print done, for a volunteer coaching opportunity. I walk in and the owner says its $33 dollars, I explained that he is supposed to bill the account on the form and he say No its a separate charge for his time. UMMM excuse me I have had a live scans done at least a dozen times and NEVER have I ever paid extra or more then $10 bucks. So he says you are looser anyways get out of my store if you cant afford it. WTH!!!! back and forth back and forth So, Apparently If you volunteer your time and dont like to be ripped off you are a looser according to the owner of this store. read more

Let me start with the fact that I live much closer to the other UPS store on at 12th and Wilshire - having promised myself that I would never subject myself to their lousy attitudes and charging for every little thing (scotch tape by the inch), I went online to find another store nearby. As it's just a few days before Christmas I thought the place would be swamped and honestly, I feel bad that it wasn't because their service was SUPERB! Excellent service including: shipping options to fit my budget, an offer to repack one of my items into a smaller box (no extra charge), and a SMILE! Aldo is the person who helped me, and I could hear others in the store being assisted with smiles and a general care to want to help in the best way possible. Do yourself a favor and drive down the road a bit to this store and let that other store at 12th and Wilshire close due to a boycott. You can have a pleasant experience here and save money. I am beyond lucky to have found this specific UPS store. Working for a company, I'm constantly shipping items. Aldo and Andrew ALWAYS provide top service. They know what they're doing and it's a relief to trust them with our company shipments (unlike USPS). Other UPS stores nearby aren't as detail oriented as these guys are. I always go out of my way to come to this specific one because I know they'll take good care of it. The only time I don't is if I need a later cut off time for overnight. In all honesty, I'm now spoiled because of how great these guys consistently do. I did read the negative reviews and although everybody has different experiences and opinions, I honestly can't imagine the employees at this location ever performing poorly. I wish every shipping company worked the ways these guys do! read more

Amazon messed up and sent me a 29 pound, 12' tube with a backdrop in it instead of the light kit I ordered. Yeah, they made it "right", but I still had to drag the thing to UPS to ship it back. I wasn't sure which labels and tracking numbers to remove, (the thing had like 20 on it!) so I brought my new label and tape to do it there. I was pleasantly surprised that the AWESOME expert there ( sorry I didn't grab his name) put the new label on and covered all the old ones for me. He gave me a drop off receipt and was super nice.
