When you think of a postal store you think of drab, ugly colors, dim lighting, cold faces...NOT THIS PLACE! Aside from being probably one of the most beautiful looking P.O Box services I've ever seen, the staff (while smaller) are incredibly friendly and dedicated to their job. I've been over to drop off some packages and watched them skillfully get a huge surfboard wrapped and packaged for another customer! Random but impressive! This place makes me forget how awful shipping things out in this city can be. I had to mail out five packages each having a t-shirt to send. I brought them in all bunched together. Gerlee folded each one very neatly so they would fit into the envelopes easily. As I addressed them, Vince took each one and I input the information into the computer so when it came time to pay, it went quickly and smoothly. He said he would email the tracking info to me in 15 minutes. And he did! Growing up in a hardware store focusing on personal service, it is not as good as it used to be. All the glowing reviews you read here are 100% true. Both Oliver & Vince are amazing. I have a stress fractured hip & needed help getting 4 boxes out of my car. Since Vince told Oliver I'd be coming, Oliver was ready at the door to make it happen. I was extremely impressed with their friendliness but also attention to detail in creating custom shipping boxes and padding for fragile objects. This is my favorite new mail store. I've been to a number of Mail stores in the area and they're all overpriced with absurd fees for pieces of tape and not the best customer service. These guys have outstanding customer service they even help me pack up a faucet that I needed to return to build.com The guys even helped me print it out the label for a really fair fee. They have assigned parking there right next-door to my favorite urgent care and Starbucks what more could you need in Santa Monica this is the postal store to go to! This store runs a predatory business. The owner charged my housekeeper, who doesn't speak great English, more than a 100% mark-up to shipping a package. All the store did was slap a label on a $39.50 package, and hand that package to the USPS carrier. For that, this guy charged my housekeeper $85.71. Apparently he asked my housekeeper "are you sure?" But of course, she doesn't speak great English. So she said "cheapest option possible." And he took her money. When I questioned the manager, he was defensive, saying "We didn't force her to come in here" and "we have to make a mark-up!" True, but you also have a responsibility to be fair to consumers. read more

I recently helped my sister ship out her "bridesmaid proposal" boxes to her bridal party, and when I say the staff here went ABOVE AND BEYOND I mean it! They were so patient as we figured out each address (we had 10 separate boxes to send to 10 separate people), and they made us feel like we were their top priority. We were concerned that some of the more fragile options in the boxes would break, so they helped us pack them and all 10 arrived safe and sound! Happened to swing by here because it was close to work. So glad I did! I have gone to a couple of postal places that accept Amazon Returns- and by far, this one is the best! The guys are super efficient and SO SO very HELPFUL! I've been to other places that you need to either buy your own tape or they charge per unit (in case you haven't taped your packages prior). These guys not only have tape, they will tape it for you. The best! read more

I just use them to ship FedEx boxes and they are almost always prepaid so very little profit incentive for them, if any. Yet they are always friendly, courteous, and helpful. They offer extra packing tape if your box needs it and don't charge you a $1 for something that costs them under one cent, which sadly is more than I can say for most businesses these days. I will gladly try them out for paid services if the opportunity arises. read more

STOLEN OR LOST MY MINOR CHILD'S PASSPORT AND OTHER SENSITIVE INFORMATION. I am writing this review to warn anyone considering using Postal and More to reconsider. Please know that I have been a LONG TIME customer of this store and am used great service. However, Brad Bellinson, the owner is not securing packages nor being truthful with his customers. If you go by Postal and More from mid-morning on, you will see UPS packages stacked up outside the store on 26th Street. These packages are awaiting pick up. I have gone into Postal and More and asked regarding the lack of security of the packages, "Don't you worry about packages getting stolen?" Brad always replies, "We've never lost a package." THIS IS NOT TRUE. On April 29th, I took my MINOR son's passport with a visa application for an international trip he is making in June. The package had his passport, a copy of his birth certificate, the front pages of both parent's passports and an application that included addresses. Since the information was so sensitive, I sent it with next day air with Fed Ex. I received the air bill with the tracking number and assumed all was okay. On May 3, I called the visa expediter to learn when I could expect to receive my son's passport with accompanying visa. The expediter took a couple of days to get back to me but eventually told me the passport had never been received. While awaiting the expediter's response, I went directly to track the package through Fed Ex. The tracking number did not show. There was not one scan of a package. I called Fed Ex who said that perhaps since it was under Postal and More's account, they could track it. I was unable to put a tracer on the package because I was under Postal and More's account. On May 8, I went into Postal and More and spoke to Oliver who said he would put a tracer on the package as the tracking number was not working for him either. He stated that Fed Ex would get back to him in 24 hours. On May 9, I returned and spoke to Oliver again who stated that Fed Ex had not gotten back to him. Together we called Fed Ex. Ultimately, Fed Ex stated that the issue of the lost package was not their responsibility because it was never scanned. Oliver told me that the drivers NEVER SCAN packages immediately rather they just take them. Postal and More is liable for this loss as they are in custody of the package until it is scanned. Postal and More should be monitoring the scanning process and assuring that each package is scanned. At Postal and More, the outgoing Fed Ex packages are kept by the front door. ANYONE could come in from 26th and grab a package. They have NO CAMERAS. They may as well put a welcome mat out for thieves. Oliver tried to tell me that the responsibility was on Fed Ex as did Brad (something Fed Ex absolutely denies). Oliver realized after my second visit that this problem was massive. This loss could affect my child for years. His identity is up for grabs all because Postal and More is irresponsible and lazy. I finally spoke to Brad (he'd been vacationing in the Bahamas- glad he had his passport). He told me that the package was lost and that it was Fed Ex's fault (lie) and that the good news was that he "might" be able to refund the Fed Ex fees. WHAT? WHAT??? You lose my kid's most sensitive information and you "might" be able to refund the money I spent on a Next Day Air package that never arrived at its destination? Are you kidding me? That's it? No, "WOW, I am so sorry. What can I do to make it better?" I was very frustrated with his response. I told him he should pay for the lifetime membership to Life Lock my son now needed (to see if anyone was trying to use his information), pay for the expedited fees for a new passport, pay for the shipping of the new passport and pay for the time that I had to miss from work because of the police report, the visits to the Federal Building to process and retrieve an emergency passport. He said "absolutely not! I am not paying for any missing time, and I might pay for some of those other things, keep your list." I have decided I want no compensation. I do not want money to muddy an important message. What I want is for this to never happen to another person. Your packages are not secure at this location. My child will have to worry about identity theft for years to come. This business owner should be ashamed of his poor business practices. read more

This place is fantastic! They have great weekday hours (8:30am-7:00pm), they're open on Saturday (9:00am-5:00pm), they always have a notary on staff, and provide USPS, UPS and Fed Ex services. They are always fast, friendly and do a great job. They even gave me a Twizzler today. These guys are the best. read more

Wow! Enough said... I was hesitant to come and set up my Mail box and it was a breeze! Oliver was excellent! Super pleasant and polite, I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. I recently had a set of ten keys made here and none of them worked. It was a hassle to bring them back, and yes I received a refund no problem (hence the two stars instead of one) but the kids who work here seem to be disgruntled, stoned or both. There were no apologies made for the inconvenience and shoddy work, if anything the kid seemed annoyed that I was inconveniencing him. I had my keys made at Busy Bee Hardware afterwards and they did an awesome job, were friendly and took their time. read more

I couldn't agree more with John P's review. This place is exceptional -- do you know how frustrating it can be to return online purchases or send packages? I have been to countless other places including many US post offices and this place is hands down the best. All of the guys go out of their way to help me -- even taping up my boxes + securing my shipping labels (which is not something they have to do in fact many post offices will say no and require you to buy a roll of packing tape). They are straightforward , knowledgeable, and offer amazing service. I go here several times a week and consistently recommend this place to friends. I am so appreciative of all their help !! Without them I would have given up on selling things online a long time ago. I have had a box here for decades and the team is outstanding, willing to help me with absolutely anything. If I had a wish list I would add two items, 1) notification of mail as it arrives (similar to what USPS does, and 2) Some hours on Sunday as my packages are often too large to fit in my box and I have to then make a special trip during the week or on Saturday from the San Fernando Valley, which is not ideal, but any chance to be on the west side is appreciated. read more
