Customer service has improved with the glaring exception of one employee, who never smiles, seems put out when dealing with customers (me at least), and is hostile to the point where it is almost laughable. I needed to ship 20 heirloom teacups and saucers to my brother. I wanted them to be packaged professionally as they are quite fragile. I went to the UPS store on Yulupa Ave. I have used their services in the past and was very pleased with the customer service and the care they took with my various shipments. My recent experience was dreadful. Service was slow and grudgingly given, and staff are poorly trained to the point of being incompetent. It took a lengthy conversation just to send one package. They we unable to ship that day as planned as they underestimated the size of carton needed. I had to return the next day to pay more. I had to return that late afternoon to pay more as they had miss calculated the postage and insurance. The clerk tried to explain what happened and the transaction needed to correct their error, but she lacked good communication skills. All was finally resolved and the package was on its way. I also find it off-putting when their uniforms are dirty. Needed to vent, but just would like to have the old owner back as this store is so convenient for me. read more

I walked in this ups store and didn't see a single worker for more than 5 min. He came out and said he was waiting on another customer for print job and couldn't wait on me until he was done. Then he went in back room again at 901 am and didn't see him again until 912 am! What ?crazy. When he did come out he added paper to the print job and went in back again. At 916 am I said "excuse me" he came out. I asked how much longer. He said not much and disappeared again. They have 2 cash registers. 2 other people are now waiting. He finally said I can edit on you now at 921. He said we tend to wait in one at a time. His name is Cliff Where did the king time employee go that was so efficient! read more

During tough economic times I'm always amazed at the audacity of small business owners who want to suck the life out every customer who enters their store. I get how tough it is to keep your head afloat; however, when the chips are down, you maintain what you got. This UPS Store is the perfect example. Charging anyone $2.95 for a simple label for a small Macy's return envelope is beyond ridiculous and insanely greedy. Super bad for business. My parents had died within weeks of each other in May and June of 2022. My wife and I flew to California from Michigan and my sister and brother-in-law few in from Wyoming. For two weeks we went through my parent's belongings in Santa Rosa, setting aside the things that were dear to us or were willed to relatives outside of California. We went to the UPS store on Yalupa where we met Liz and her team who expertly and carefully packaged our parent's things for shipping to Wyoming as well as build a huge pallet to go by freight to Michigan. (The pallet is in the pictures on the Yelp site). I am Trustor of my parent's Trust and am responsible for 39 beneficiaries. Liz was patient and kind as I asked her to process 39 registered letters that i needed to get to all the beneficiaries. Liz stayed late working on our pallet and everything arrived in Michigan in perfect condition. We found the rates more than reasonable and the service exemplary. If we lived in Santa Rosa, this UPS store would be the only place we would trust to ship or precious belongings. I just recently left the UPS store here in Bennett Valley the customer service was iconic the young man who help me a big kid with a beard was very tech savvy and helped me out immensely with my Amazon returns. EMPLOYEE RECKLESSLY REFORMATS THIS CUSTOMER'S ENTIRE USB STICK WITHOUT ASKING... AND WHEN HE'S CALLED MINUTES LATER FOR AN EXPLANATION, IN MID-CALL HE STOPPED RESPONDING AND JUST GIVES ME THE "SILENT TREATMENT". Really? How juvenile and totally unprofessional! You see, my girlfriend had borrowed my crammed-full, 32GB USB key to take a child-custody certificate to be printed and signed before mediation started at 10am. Off to the UPS Store at 8am today, Friday September 27th. We've used them successfully many times in the past, even just last week. Well the sole employee who was there this morning told Leana that he couldn't read my USB key, the same one we've used here just days before. He suggested she take it home and reformat it. Leana didn't know what that meant, and told him so. Instead of just returning the stick, apparently he fumbled with his computer for a bit more, and handed her back the USB key, telling her that said he had just "fixed it." Just "take it home and try again." EXCUSE ME? TRY AGAIN? WHERE IS ALL MY DATA!!!!!!?????? He never asked, and my girlfriend never would have given permission to reformat it! She knew that I still had many important docs on it. So now... 32GB of data... GONE FOREVER. Stunned, I just wanted to know how such an inconceivable misunderstanding could take place, so I immediately called the store to speak to the employee and find out. I wasn't loud. I wasn't abusive. I didn't use any expletives. But I was very clear as I carefully, slowly, sternly, explained the damage his unprompted action caused. You know what? When confronted with the magnitude of his unprompted action, well, midway through my call he just STOPPED LISTENING. NO CONVERSATION, NO RESPONSE.. For two minutes ALL I heard was background store noise, as if he just set the phone down on the counter without hanging up. I'M GETTING THE SILENT TREATMENT? Unbelievable. I made some calls, filing a formal complaint with UPS STORE CORPORATE. I'm told it's been prioritized, and to await the owner's response. I can't wait. read more

Waited on hold for 40 minutes to be told that there's was nothing anyone could do to help me, and that I have to be a UPS my choice member in order to have my package held at their location to avoid having a package stolen while I'm out of town. Not to mention the package was supposed to arrive yesterday so I shouldn't have to pay or do anything. I would've had to go out of my way to go pick up the package. Really frustrated, upset, and disappointed that I wasted so much time and got nowhere. Will avoid using UPS at all costs. read more

My first time at this location. I was sending an item back that I purchased thru Amazon. I had the option of no need to package up nor label, that's what I chose. I still took item back in the box it came in and employee/owner i presume? Older man got nasty with me because I didn't tape up the box?! He wasn't going to accept it at first. Told him I didn't even have to box it but did it as a courtesy to make it easier for them. The audacity to tell me well next time tape it up, tape costs money you know! I told him not really my problem if that option was available to me. He should address with corporate and their contract with Amazon. Not right to take it out on customers. read more

Do not use this store. I paid a lot of money to have a very important gift shipped via 2 day air. They ended up sending ground, with the package scheduled to arrive 4 days later than expected. They refuse to reimburse the shipping cost due to their error. They are basically stealing from their customers. read more

Very rude owner and customer service. I went there to send ba a small Amazon package. The person who waited on me did not bother to ask if I wanted UPS or US Postal Service. He rung it up and put postage on before telling me the total. It cost $5.00 to mail a few ounces. I went back after thinking about it and asked to not ship it. I commented that I could have sent it at the post office for $ .78. He said that ups determines the price. I didn't even get to have the option to send it ups. I wanted to get my money back and he claimed that the postage had already been put on! He made it real clear that he was the owner and was aggressive and non customer friendly! read more

This place is really cool. It's locally owned. I like that. It's a small place. With some PO boxes. They do UPS and mail. Right next to Starbucks, and a great Taqueria, and a Chinese restaurant that's been there for almost 30 years. We shipped back some stuff to war B Parker, and they gave us some free tape and helps me out with the packaging. I was so impressed with the customer service that I bought my stamps for the year from them. Their mailbox PO Box prices are a dollar below what I see in my neighborhood. They do keep very good Saturday hours. With some of these private companies, that was a good find. I'll definitely be back. read more

A locally owned Franchise UPS Store offering great service. We've been customers of this UPS store for years and use it for all our shipping, copying, passport photo, and Notary needs. We've always received absolutely flawless service from Geoff and the rest of the staff. We've often had them ship large, fragile, and odd sized items and they've always arrived at their destination in perfect condition. From fine china to heavy, fragile, computer circuit boards (heavy due to a big, board mounted, linear power supply transformer), the items were carefully packed with appropriate protection. They also take our plastic peanuts that we've received in packages we've received to recycle! A great store, great people, great service! Highly recommended. read more

As a neighborhood store this place rocks. I take all my mailing items here. The Staff is always helpful and I have yet to encounter any SNAFUs mailing anything! Do not ship anything from this store! At Christmas time I shipped a package that was to arrive at it's destination on the 22nd of December. The package didn't arrive and according to the tracking number they couldn't find it. When it was found and delivered on the 29th, contents of the package were missing. The package had been ripped open and reaped. A claim was filed and denied due to packaging. According to Matt at the UPS store on Yulupa, had the package been in a box Versus a padded envelope it would have been covered by insurance. However, when mailing this package they never suggested I put it in a box or mentioned anything about insurance. When I spoke with Matt and asked him who I contact to dispute the denial of my claim he said I needed to call the UPS 800-number. This was not a true statement and he knew fully well that the store I shipped from is responsible for disputing the claim. When I informed Matt that I would like him to dispute my claim, he informed me that "he could not waste his time on this any longer." And has no idea what time John the owner will be to the store on Monday. And preceded to hang up on me. I'm not convinced that the thievery didn't occur before my package even left the store, as Matt was anything but honest with me from the beginning. read more

This store was so helpful and so quick! I love that I can walk in and out with my packages on a normal day and be out within 5 minutes tops. When I first came to the store I was starting my internet business and was still unsure/uneasy about how it all worked and the man there was so helpful and so courteous to me. Went here to complete an easy shipment and was very disappointed. When I arrived the clerk was giving a customer a lengthy, annoying, and un-necissary lecture on the proper way to drop of items. I could tell that the customer was in a hurry but was being held up by the clerk. I too was in a hurry and he was holding me up. When it was my turn I soon found myself being lectured and treated with disrespect. One clerk actually stormed off to the back room and I could here him disgruntingly mumbling rude things back there. A customer doesn't want to be lectured, they want to be served, treated with respect, and if necessary, kindly educated on the best mailing options, would be acceptable. These people do not understand the meaning of customer service and they don't deserve any business. I chose to grab my package back from the clerk and couldn't get out the door fast enough! I ended up going to Brick Station Post next to Village True Value Hardware and I was delighted with the place and the service. read more
