Management here is crap. Employees and management play the favoritism game when it comes to employees and customers hence why you always see new faces in these stores. I know numerous people who have worked there over the years who warn everyone to not work there. Even I was warned numerous times to not work here. They treat their employees badly, they don't give reasonable accommodation to employees, they don't have a reasonable break system making you work all day and you get 10 minutes to eat your lunch then back off to work you go, the management and long time employees are too lazy to train new employees spending time on their phone making personal calls in the back or gossiping about everything or even having friends stop by to have a 20 minute cigarette break, newbies are meant to fend for themselves and you get reprimanded if you complain that the people supposed to be training you aren't training you because they do all the work while you watch then they send you to handle the front by yourself. That's not how you train people. It's a clique like store, if they don't like you for whatever reason, they'll find a reason to get rid of you. I'd highly advise against working here, ask any former employee and they'll tell you the same thing. I don't even support these stores anymore and neither does anyone I know because of how they treat their employees. read more

I often drop off packages at UPS store in Shirley, NY. Service is always prompt and courteous. It's easier to get a receipt here than walking through a major retail store to find UPS dropoff. There is ample parking very close to the store. In particular, I want to commend the employee who helped me mail a package to Hong Kong last week. There were several people ahead of me that morning. Nick was the only clerk in the store and he handled each customer graciously. When it was my turn, I apologized for the complexity of mailing to Hong Kong. By then, there were others on line behind me. I also apologized to those waiting. Nick worked quickly and efficiently, under the pressure of a large line forming. We completed the customs form and he even found the best pricing for this expensive transaction. Thank you to Nick and the staff at UPS, SHIRLEY for friendly, competent and quick service. I went to the UPS store in Shirley on 8/20/16 to have a gift sent to someone in Florida. A young man named Tom helped me. I told him I bought a President Obama doll for a friend in Florida for her birthday. He looked at the box that it was shipped to me in and said he was going to pack it more securely. I told him that it was expensive and he said he really wanted to make sure that it got to it's destination without anything breaking. I left the store and a few days later when I called my friend in Florida - first of all she LOVED the President Obama doll, and then she said it was so well packed with extra packing material. Amazing staff! I had to print over 200 pages for my portfolio book and they helped me out through the whole process. From the paper I should print it on to the size of it. The associate that helped was really knowledgeable with everything and her service was excellent. Great customer service and very friendly. Did not have to wait long but while I was waiting they reassured me they would be helping me out shortly. That's true customer service. read more

I have visited this location on numerous occasions and each and every time the service has been excellent. I have used this location for packing, shipping, notary, faxing and even shredding! Each time I arrive the girls are friendly and helpful. We needed this kind of store in Shirley. I've had issues with the local post office and I;m glad I never have to go there again!.
