The UPS Store - Printing Services Near Me - South Jordan, Utah

In today's day and age of ordering online and having a package delivered to your doorstep in a day or two, it's pretty rare that I need to visit the UPS store. But recently, one of those online orders didn't turn out so great and I needed to send it back. I took it in to the store, showed the clerk a QR code and she printed a shipping label, took my package and sent me on my way. It was painless. The only reason I deducted a star was because I did have to wait in line for several minutes (longer than my actual transaction took). It would be nice if there was a self-service kiosk where I could scan the code, print the label myself and drop the package off rather than having to wait in a line. That just shows how accustomed to instant gratification I've become. I'll say it for you. read more

I came into the South Jordan Pkwy store with a bunch of returns and Morgan was amazing and patient and So Sweet through the whole process!! She has awesome customer service and helped me through everything. She's an absolute angel & totally deserves a raise in my opinion!! read more

While my initial irritation was due to Amazon, the long haired blond guy made a comment to others (several standing there maybe for training) as I left of "well, there you go" when I said I was irritated with Amazon. Pissed me off and maybe next time he should hold his comments until a customer isn't in earshot. Time to find a new package place... read more

I've encounter the guy "Z" at the counter twice now at this location for returning Amazon packages. Luckily the first time, he was busy with another customer and told me to use the self serve kiosk instead. That in itself was quick and efficient. Second time, he threw my bags down and had a condescending tone. I was polite and despite being bothered with his demeanor, said thank you and he completely ignored me. I'll use the self service kiosk if I have to return something else. If I have to interact with a person, I'd rather drive to a farther location. read more

There is an older gentleman here who is beyond rude, he should not be in a customer facing role. Also, sat and waited for the store to open at 9, it is now 9:15am and no sign of opening anytime soon. Lastly I called and the voicemail says "Happy Holidays"? It is imperative to manage these 3 things to have raving reviews, sustainable longevity and happy customers. Stood in line for 10 mins when I got to the desk they refused to help me because I wasn't wearing a mask. Today is May 18th 2021. This is ridiculous. CDC even came out and said "you don't have to wear one if you're vaccinated". I have a health condition which prevents me from wearing one - yet you refuse to accommodate. I wonder who else prints materials.... everybody. I've taken note about the ups stores. I won't be back. To any of them. Thats not a company I agree with. No common sense. No reality. Never did my print order and never emailed me back about it. Said they forgot to email me back. I called on Thursday and talked on the phone about my order. Said she would print it that night. Came Friday to pick it up and they said they never printed it. Said I could wait while they started it. Had two small children with me so I had to leave. read more

Thought I'd arrive just before they opened at 9am in order to get the rest of my errands completed and they're still not open. It's 9:10am. There are four people here waiting for them to open. This may just be a reflection on the opening employee, but this doesn't look good on UPS who are usually very timely in my experience. read more

We had an instance where all (ALL THREE) of the packages we sent from this location got "LOST" after the UPS driver picked them up. This happened on January 31, 2020, and we have had nothing but the run around from them since then. Have discussed with them at least a dozen times....and their excuse "we don't know anything"!!!! I called to plead for help with a package that is getting shipped to the wrong address. This is the local store to where the package is headed to. The gentleman on the phone was very rude and wouldn't even listen to my question, just gave me the 800 number. I said no thanks, I can look that up myself. First of all, it costs about 6 times more than a USPS PO Box. Secondly, it smells like death in there. Like stale, moldy death. I could get past those two things if the customer service was halfway decent. It's a family owned business, which is usually a good thing. Not here. The "kids" (adult children who work there) are very nice. The father (I assume owner) is a jerk. Every time he was in there he was short, rude, upset, and never once looked you in the eye. So there's the premise of the place. My two complaints that result in the singular star are the following: 1: Packages would get put with the wrong mailbox labels and given to the wrong people...three times in fact. And we only had the mailbox for less than 4 months. That's not a good track record. 2: When we signed up we were told that they would forward our mail for free. That's part of the reason why it cost so much. Now that we've cancelled they want a credit card to put on file to charge us for any postage for forwarding mail. And now we can't even get the USPS to forward the mail because they won't release the box. So, good stuff. A pissy old man who only cares about money and couldn't give two large poops about customer service and your satisfaction. I certainly hope someone gets to read this before going there. read more

I had a Casio ProTrek watch to return to Amazon. I printed out the return bar code, and carefully repacked the still brand new watch in it's small Casio wooden box which comes with most G Force and ProTrek watches. I handed the watch and return code to an employee who scanned it and gave me a receipt. I mentioned the original Amazon outer shipping box had arrived quite damaged and asked if they could re-box for protection of the delicate watch during return shipping. I was told I would have to pay for a box and packing. I said OK, give me the watch back and I will go home and find a box and packing materials and return later in the day. A different young woman (manager?) said it was impossible since it was already scanned. I said this makes no sense and told them I hoped the $200.00+++ watch arrived undamaged when returned to Amazon. Extremely frustrating when the solution should have been so simple. Customer service and training definitely needs to be addressed. I have had two bad experiences here with poor customer service. Most recently, an employee made a mistake on an important overnight package - didn't realize that she needed to charge more to get it there on a Saturday. We called to get it fixed and make sure the package would indeed arrive on time. The supervisor of the employee was very rude to my husband about the situation. I am not a reviewer that just posts the negative experiences, but I post both positive and negative. In the case of UPS South Jordan, I have had many experiences that have been positive but I had paid one of the reps to package, insure, and ship an item. Well, a poorly constructed box was used and some packaging peanuts that resulted in damage to my package. The recipient of the package noticed the damage, reported it to me, and then sent the item to the manufacturer for repair. I have many pics of the box but unfortunately the UPS claims control, or whichever subcontracted is used, requires that the package be with the shipper in its original form, and with a variety of photos all around the box in order for an "inspection" to be done. This is slightly reasonable but I had once filed a claim with fedex and the claims filing was easy with the same number of pics, and i was shortly given the insurance amount for the item. So UPS failed in both packaging the product--insurance and packaging were both expensive--and the claims filing was on the edge of unreasonable i.e. requires recipient to contribute, pics all around the box, box & item in possession, etc. Ultimately, UPS is a franchise based company and as such has an incentive to maximize its own position through reducing its individual costs (passing liability, using poor quality materials, etc.) and increasing revenue (putting a premium on all packages sent). Do yourself a favor and stick with Fedex. read more
