I went to the Southbury library to have 6 sheets faxed to Canada, and was told that they no longer do any faxes, but that UPS up in the Stop & Shop plaza does. So I took my 6 sheets with me, and the person I dealt with took my sheets of paper, put them through the fax machine, and then stuffed them into a large envelope, put the address on the outside, and then handed me a bill for $62. This was clearly NOT properly discussed with me, as I had no idea that he was going to mail the sheets in addition to faxing them. I would definitely NOT recommend UPS for faxing anything. I rarely make returns, but why wouldn't a UPS store have boxes and packing services as they advertise on their website? Accountability is in need of practice by the owners of this location. I had an admittedly complicated print job, needing only certain pages from several documents. A woman, who I assumed to be the owner only because she was wearing her own clothes and not a uniform like the other employees, said she could help. Another employee asked if she knew how to print only certain pages as I needed, and assured she did. She completed the first document, telling me she did what I asked. I then completed the rest on my own, now knowing the process and believing I could do the rest faster as I knew the documents. It wasn't until I got the printed pages and she had already counted and priced them that I looked through and realized the first document, which she had completed, had several more pages than required. I made this known and politely asked if those pages can be subtracted from the price, because it was her error that they were included and they were not pages I needed or wanted. She told me she could not do that, and I asked why that would be if it was not my doing. She doubled down, so I acquiesced and paid for all the pages that were printed. Now, I'm not upset by the extra $1.50 or so that was added to the cost for these pages. And I certainly am not a "the customer is always right" advocate. Customer service is difficult and we've all seen videos of the public treating employees disrespectfully for minor infractions. And I've literally never written or posted a review for any business or any product, EVER. But the $1.50 cannot mean as much to this business as maintaining good standing and rapport with customers. So the fact that they were unable to be flexible or accommodating to admit their mistake and just make it right is extremely off-putting. I should not have paid extra for an error that was not my own, which I think is a completely reasonable expectation when engaging with any business. She aggressively blamed me, even though she'd earlier assured me it was done properly. I said "accountability, it's important to take ownership for your actions." At which point the 4 employees present started shouting at me, so I left. I am very disappointed in my experience here, and will not be returning. If you have another option, I suggest you go elsewhere too. read more

I went to return an Amazon order. The return code I had was incorrect (my fault). Rather than offer assistance, the older man behind the counter was rude. Thankfully, a female employee told me how to get the correct code. When she offered to explain this to her co-worker, he loudly and rudely stated that he "didn't want to know." Will never go to this branch again. I order products that need to be signed for but I work full-time and therefore have packages shipped to ups. Both times I've picked up at this store the employees immediately get an attitude, ask for the tracking number, the tracking number usually says "invalid" and they act like they'd rather tell me the package isn't here instead of just taking 2 minutes to look for my name on the stack of packages behind them. When they finally agree to look through the packages, and immediately find mine, they then make me re-read the tracking numbers and scan my id and make me sign for them. They always give me a hard time and it's a hassle just to get my packages. They keep stating that there are access points nearby but, from my understanding, ups is a mail delivery service so I really don't understand what the problem is. To me it seems like they just don't want to be helpful; therefore, I'll gladly take my business somewhere else. read more

Not happy. Dropped off a package Friday at 12:30 for ground shipping (pick up time is 3:30). Label wasn't "created" until 3:58 so since there is no ground pick up on Saturday or Sunday. The package won't leave until Monday at 3:30. Won't use this place again. I'll drive to new town. read more

wow! Literal low-lifes work in this store. My Elderly Dad was trying to return a gift via UPS. I sent my Dad the label via text message to my Dad. The store said they couldn't scan it, but I could email it to them. Now, why they couldn't email to themselves off my Dad's phone was never explained. Meanwhile, they made fun of my Dad's lack of phone knowledge. Then, they had my Dad with COPD who is on oxygen stand around and wait for the email for 1/2 hr claiming they didn't get. Clerk was busy chatting up a customer and told me to leave my package and QR code (a return to Amazon) in the lobby and he'd get to it later. I never received my credit. When I called the store was told there is nothing they could do, they made no attempt to address my question. Clerk also told me that they also just got off the phone with another customer inquiring about their missing package. I highly recommend that you wait for a receipt. read more

If I could leave zero reviews I would. DO NOT use this store to fax any information. Last week I was in CT because my mother in law is ill (I live in TX). I had to fax medical documents that included all of her personal information to a doctor. They took my 21 pages and faxed them to some random fax in Colorado...when I realized the error I called and was told it was my fault because I didn't check the number on my confirmation sheet before I left the store...um...the confirmation sheet prints AFTER the fax is sent...then the man who faxed them told me I gave him that number because he would never have known to fax it to that number...no, when I was in the store with the fax I pointed to the fax number on the cover sheet (you know, the number right by the words "TO:") that I provided when he asked me where to send the fax (clearly he did not understand how to read a fax cover sheet). He read the number to me and off he went sending my mother in law's private information off to who knows where . They are refusing to help me in any way shape or form, are blaming me saying I gave them the wrong number, and are refusing to return the $45 it cost to fax 21 sheets. Meanwhile, my mother in law's private information is out there for whomever received it to do with whatever they choose. If they can't follow fax instructions I can only imagine what they will do with packages...just don't do it! read more
