I am sad to write this review, but even UPS Corporate doesn't understand why this happened. (I had…read morecalled to speak their Customer Service Department.) A package was sent to this UPS Store rather than my home because it was a gift for my wife. For any gift delivery, I have always had the packages shipped to a secure location for pick up. (Obviously, you don't want a gift shipped to your home where the recipient would get it. The surprise would be ruined.) The package was signed for and received by this UPS Store during their morning deliveries. After receiving notification on my phone, I went that afternoon to show my identification and pick up the package. Here's the crazy part. I was told that even though they signed and received my package, they were not going to give it to me (even though I presented my drivers license for identification) and that they were returning it to the sender. I was told that this was their policy. The main issue is that they SIGNED FOR and RECEIVED my package. They accepted the responsibility for it when they did so. I would not have been frustrated if they had simply rejected the package and not signed for and received it. That's what everyone is supposed to do. The line is crossed when they accept something which is not theirs. If it's their policy not to receive packages because of liability, then they need to follow their own policy. What's the big deal, you ask? I should state here that the value of the package contents was $10,000. So, you can see why this is a big deal. I've only had one previous issue with UPS (not at this store) in a similar situation. I plan not to let this happen again. Incidentally, I've never had this problem with a few FedEx stores in the area where I've had packages sent there to be held for my pickup. I highly recommend using FedEx for these types of deliveries and not UPS especially this one on Highway 92 at Trickum next to the Publix. I will be checking on this with UPS Corporate as I have a case number with them and will amend this review upon that future conversation.

This particular FedEx is located in the small, yet busy Woodstock Exchange complex located on 92 that also houses Firehouse, Moe's, WingStop, Leslie's Pool and a vape shop. Parking is a hot commodity here, especially around lunch time, as the three eateries next to FedEx eat up most of the spaces. In addition, the lot is small and narrow, so be careful when pulling in and out...folks ain't paying no attention! The interior of the store was well kept, organized and clean. It is spacious for a FedEx and has all the goods and services you would need including scanners, computers, printers, fax machines, packing station, etc...Additionally, they have a good selection of packages, packaging material, greeting cards, school and office supplies. Service was solid. When I walked in, I was greeted by two employees, one on the floor and the other behind the register. Justin is who assisted me with the shipment and he was friendly, helpful and an overall pleasure to interact with. Overall, when I am in need of a FedEx service, this will certainly be my go to location!

I had what I thought was sort of an unusual shipment. It was a pair of loudspeakers that weigh almost 300lbs each. They were packed securely on a pallet and were shipped about 2000 miles to my home. I checked around and got a lot of quotes...from "under the table" shippers, to UPS and FedEx as well as other professional shipping companies. Craters and Freighters was a good deal, and confidence-inspiring when dealing with them. They literally will ship anything unless it's a live animal, so I wasn't worried. I have no hesitation to recommend them.

His quote was competitive and because I have used Craters and Freighters in other cities for art purchases and always had an excellent experience, I selected C&F again. It was an excellent choice and a wonderful experience. My crate arrived within two weeks and it was much larger than I anticipated. It was extremely sturdy and well-built. Since the mirror was large, vintage and heavy, the crate was built to stand upright and I could not figure out how to open it safely. Mr. Dye provided me with detailed instructions, but I still did not feel that I could safely handle opening the crate on my own. I hired Farber Art Services from Pacifica, CA to hang the mirror. Turns out the crate was easy for them to open, and the mirror was beautifully packed. It survived the 2000 mile trip without any damage at all. I cannot thank Thomas Dye enough and I would highly recommend Craters and Freighters on Roswell Rd in Marietta, GA.
