This is the third time I've come to this branch of the UPS store and I have enjoyed it every single time. I'm surprised to see that it ranks so low but I've never had any bad experiences here. Even today, while going in to return an item to be shipped back out, the staff was patient and helpful. I would definitely continue to come and do a business here. Unacceptable Service and Refusal to Tape Package I had a frustrating experience at The UPS Store on March 6, 2025. I had a return package, first thing I said was that I just needed the box taped, and it was ready to go, the girl said no problem. I got it . But then she refused to do it with me in the store, despite the tape being right next to her. Said she'd get to it later. She spent five minutes telling me about all the things she had to do, even though there was nobody else in the store. The box was 1 inch directly in front of her, and the tape was just within arm's reach. She kept telling me she was too busy to help, and I repeatedly told her I couldn't leave the package untaped. It's important and expensive, and I just didn't feel comfortable leaving it open. Instead of finishing my transaction she insisted I could leave without the package being sealed. After five minutes of this, I was left with no choice but to walk away with my box in hand to take my business elsewhere because she refused to do what was paid for. What's strange is that this wasn't the first time I've seen this behavior. On a previous visit, I had to wait for her to help a customer that came in after me rather than just putting a piece of tape on my package and finishing my transaction. I've also witnessed her make another customer wait just to get a piece of tape, despite the tape being right there. It feels uncomfortable and unprofessional that they actually go out of their way to not seal packages before you leave. I find it deeply troubling that a service I've paid for -- especially when it involves returning something valuable -- would be left incomplete. I will not be choosing this location again, and I strongly suggest others look elsewhere. read more

This place is terrible and I won't be back. I stopped in around 4 p.m. because I wanted to send a package to a friend in Italy. I was told that they could not accept my package because customs was closed and the clerk told me I needed to come back before 1:00. I informed him that I cannot because I work. He told me that I need to come back during the weekend then. I asked him if I could pay for the delivery and they could ship it out the next day. The clerk told me no, they could not accept my package and that I would need to come back before 1 p.m. I've never had such difficulty sending a package. I will not return to this located as its a sh*t show. read more

Just left this store was going to drop off a package, but the younger girl at the counter was the rudest person I've ever met in my life. There was a gentleman in front of me in line who had questions, she couldn't be bothered nor did she help him when he was struggling with her directions on how to print a label from an email. Do not use this place if at all possible!! What could you do to improve you ask? Fire the girl at the front counter. She didn't even wear a name tag so I don't know her name. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! booked an appointment online to have papers notarized. upon my arrival the notory stated she needed to clock put for lunch because it was her 5th hour and she would be in trouble. then she said i have not booked the app for today ( which i showed her proof i did) . i requested to speak to the owner Naelli and i was told she does nott have phone or email. Then i asked to the notory call from her cellphone which she did. she spoke too the manager in the back of store. Thr manager told her i should go back next day. The employees working at the counter were very nice and helpful, but after the package was sent, we got no updates to the tracking for almost a week. Our package was supposed to be delivered by March 15th, and we suddenly got confirmation, but there was no photo evidence, and our recipient never received his package. We checked with the apartments main office weekly, and no package was ever received, even to this day. They are delivered to a locker, it's very secure, this was a gift to a college student, and it was completely lost. When we contacted UPS, they gave us a runaround, claiming it was delivered, though there was no photo or confirmation from the apartment office where it should have been delivered to, and wouldn't even refund the shipping cost, much less value of the lost gift, which by its nature was impossible to value anyway, that's the nature of handmade gifts. Very disappointed in the complete lack of accountability taken by this company. read more

My wife went to this store in Yuba City today to return an Amazon package. She was the only customer in the store. She was treated rudely, even yelled at, and when she finally asked for help in the self help area the female clerk turned and walked away. The package was approx 6"x3"x4" and weighed 9 ounces, per US POST OFFICE. the charge to mail package to mckinleyville, California was going to be $11+, with a delivery date of May 4th, with no guarantee that it would arrive on that date. the US POST OFFICE charged me $6.25 with the same delivery date. Had to notarize some very important papers and Shallou was excellent very fast very smart very knowledgeable on how to have all the signatures in place on very important documents Shallou is the owner and very knowledgeable you just need to ask her the questions and she responds and the girls she works with help her and get done what needs to be done I suggest anybody going in and get to know them they have a lot to offer sometimes we need to get out of our comfort zone and say hello first Thank you to the staff for helping me with my most important documents I hope you all have a great day and continue to do all the great work you're doing for all of us read more

Staff has negative attitude, rude communication, and are just not kind people. Called to talk with the manager and had the same experience. Female staff was observed re- boxing items for two young attractive men and then refusing to help customers of retirement age. This store needs a staff refresh. Absolutely the rudest and uncaring people every..... my 8 daughters medical records were lost and still never been found. Other stores compensate a lot more then this store when something like this happens. They didn't even offer me a refund for the amount I paid for the shipment until I asked for it back!!! So my daughters personal info ended up in some ones hands and I have no clue who has them. I recommend going to the UPS Store on Lincoln. Well worth the extra 10 min drive! A 250-pound rowing machine arrived, by UPS, at my home. Amazon printed out the UPS return label, "over 70lb.," and instructed, "any UPS location." I was instructed to take it, "as is," to the store; the box had been disposed of. On Friday afternoon, I walked in with the long bit; the "manager" asked, "Is this all of it?" I replied, "No, there's another, much heavier piece--very heavy--in the car," and POINTED to a illustration of the whole unit, on the heel of the long bit. She stared, then said, "You need a box," suggesting Box & Crate for a custom box. On Saturday, after having spent hours, packing the massive thing, I rolled it into the store. The same "manager," and another employee from Friday, were at the counter. The "manager" asked, "How heavy is it?" She hadn't asked that, on Friday. "Can you put it on the scale?"(on the counter). Two other customers assisted me. She said, "It doesn't even read." I said, "I was here, last night, remember?" "No," she replied, while smiling and staring at the ceiling. I'm fairly certain, she was stoned to the gills. Definitely, by her smirk, she just doesn't care about helping customers. The other employee said, "Yeah, he was--the long, metal thing? It was too long." I said, "You only said, that I needed a box. It's in a box. I told you, the other half was extremely heavy; you didn't offer to weigh it. But, you're not going to take it." She smirked, said, "No," and began talking to the next customer. Calmly, I said, "I accept your apology." She stared at me, in her stoned way, almost laughed, and said, "What?" "For the inconvenience? For making me think that I needed to wrestle with this thing, put it in a box, and hurry back here? For not mentioning a weight limit, last night--when I was very clear about it being 'very heavy?'" She just smiled her stoned smile, and said slowly, "Oh. Yeeeah, sure." Then, she turned away. Though every label and instruction had sent me to the UPS Store--with an APPROVED return--she didn't offer ANY alternatives, just chose to smirk and dismiss. This is the third time, now, that this smirking, rude fence post of a human has been dismissive, smirky, and rude. I've complained, each time. From the other reviews, these "ladies" have a real problem with anyone over the age of 35. Once upon a time, the owner of this store gave a darn. I guess, she's just given up. Horrible Notary named Mercedes. She was unprofessional, uneducated and embarrassing to myself and my special needs adult son. We were told to obtain a "Power of Attorney" and told by district to go to a UPS store,don't! We left without papers signed because she basically made us feel like we were doing something wrong ... she actually told us to leave for no reason. Go to the printer/notary on Gray Avenue (Dave's Printing) they were easy, helpful, professional. I'll never go back to this UPS Store. After talking to friends about my experience I've learned that these things happen often at this store.. packages go missing etc.. read more

Do not trust them with anything that you care about or that is important! I sent a package (a clay sculpture that my daughter had made) but the recipient didn't pick it up in time so it was sent back. Apparently it sat at the UPS office in Yuba City for over a month before anybody called to let me know. Eventually someone called and left me a message that said I needed to come pick up my package. I called them back and let them know I would be there in a few days. When I went in to retrieve my package, less then a week later, they notified me that it had been thrown away!!! They insisted that they tried calling multiple times (which I have no record of and they never left a voicemail) and whoever I spoke to on the phone didn't make a note that I would be coming soon so they just tossed it. IF I COULD GIVE 0 stars I would! Such garbage customer service from teenagers. My sister went into this location on Saturday the 14th. Being pregnant and being a rainy day the employee misguided her and didn't even apologize. Then when my sister confirmed something she had no reaction. Shalu is the manager at this location and she's nothing but a sad excuse for a manager. It's so pathetic to let your little teenage employees put your business to the gutter. Mailed a 9" x 12" Priority envelope to my Dad in New Mexico last Saturday. Paid $15!!!! I only did this because it had time sensitive documents in it. Just missed using the Bel Aire post office. It closes at 1 pm on Saturdays. I told my Dad it would be there on Tues or Wed. When he said it had not arrived, I tracked it & it did not get to Sacramento until Tuesday! That means it sat somewhere for 2 days! The UPS store just blames it on USPS! It is not scheduled to arrive until This Saturday. I feel like I was totally ripped off. I will NEVER mail anything there again! read more

I just encountered the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life! I walked in to next day a package(my bridal bouquet) and was told with the biggest attitude "well it's not doing out today", I said yes that's fine.. I work tomorrow which is why I needed to do it today. She then proceeds to tell me that shipping live flowers "isn't a thing" and that she "can't help me". I said what do you mean you can't help me? You work here? She then proceeds to help the next guest and tells me to step aside. I cannot believe this lady has a job. I'm issuing a formal complaint, this lady needs to be fired! I think it's ridiculous for a business to have one person on staff, have them do a notary (which takes time), and have a line of customers waiting out the door to be helped. I waited 20 min for her to finish a notary and process my transaction. Then to top it off, she didn't seem to care that people were waiting. read more

No wonder this place has less than three stars. I drove 12 miles to get to the store today only to find out they were closed. And they even left the sign on the front door that said they would be open July 3. I arrived at 4:45 PM even though they should be open till 6:30 PM. See the picture I took if you don't believe me. Needed to send a birthday gift for our daughter in Tennessee. Due to a small change in the paperwork the Tracking number was incorrect. The young lady at the store located the paperwork and made sure to find the package in transit and found our correct tracking number . She was so sweet and helpful . Don't expect any customer service here. Your best bet is to have your package already pre-paid and ready to ship. The only other concern is will the workers there actually make it available to get on the truck from the store. The person I spoke to on the phone was unprofessional and didn't want to assist in getting my questions answered. It was like I was bothering her and then she gave a sarcastic laugh about a question I had. Typical CA worker response. So I visited the store in person and they had one employee there and again I was a bother to her while I was trying to get my package to ship. This attitude towards customers is a trending issue in the Yuba City area. I will not be back to this place and if I have to shop I will drive to Roseville for service... SMH... read more
