Visited July 25 2026 in Yuba City. See my receipt. First and last time here! They do Amazon returns and a UPS station inside. I had time sensitive documents that needed to be copied and fax so I went here. Nothing like the awesome Grass Valley location! 58 bucks to copy and fax. Another 19 bucks for a fax I didn't get a confirmation on! The 2 ladies pretty much ignored me when I questioned the charges and verification that they were sent. Not only that the copier made very faded copies ! It took over 18 minutes to fax one of the documents ( 9 pages ). That's crazy! Terrible experience with unhelpful employees. I left pretty disgusted. I am taking my papers to Oroville or Grass Valley where they have good equipment and don't charge you a hefty fee! Btw..parking lot is extremely tight. read more

TERRIBLE customer service. Was waiting in the print and marketing section with no one there, ups section is right next to us and the guy working was ignoring us. Went to the front cashier and asked if someone could help us and she told me the ups guy was the only one but then we talked to him and he said the guy went to the back to grab paper. Overall no one seems to know anything and I won't take my services here again. read more

Lowering my review because they don't seem to have carts anymore and no one offers to help you take stuff to your car. Bought a bunch of office supplies including printer paper etc and they had no carts. They weren't busy and no one else had one. Had to drag everything I needed to the front (in a dress and heels no less) and after paying despite numerous employees standing around I had to come back & forth to bring my heavy items to my car. Benjamin in the printing department is rude, not helpful and condescending. Doesn't offer any suggestions or insight. Don't take your business here especially if you're printing things for an important event. Clearly satisfaction was not his goal. read more

Robert the tech manager, I thank you greatly. You're very professional. I heard your customer care (sorry I was at the ink isle on the wall) you were so very helpful and kind. I wondered over and asked you if by chance someone could be sent over to help me. Without hesitation (after he said he was going to the back) he came right over and helped. My item was not in stock yet he looked EVERYWHERE, asked around and even pulled up a tablet thing to help me see it wasn't there and possibly not for awhile. He was concerned too! We had a lovely conversation and I profusely thanked him for going about all call off duty. I never feel as though I'm an inconvenience to anyone at the YUBA CITY staples. WOW! Have you ever tried to return an item for exchange at Staples? Well, good luck trying to do that even though the items are the same brand, and of the same size. They will do a return on the items you are returning and charge you the current price of the item. They is no way they can do an even swap. I had to call the president's office of Staples to confirm this and was offered a $5.00 gift certificate for the inconvenience it caused me. This was not about the amount extra I would had to pay out for the exchange it is the principle of it all. I do recall that all other retail stores still do an even exchange with no money changing hands but not staples. Word of warning to all staples shoppers, if you wish to do and exchange you must do it the same week of your purchase or you will be asked to bend over and grab your ankles before they do an item swap for you. If you do call the president's office and speak to a person named Bonnie just listen to her she seems a little stressed and will use a canned response at the end of the conversation. read more

Not a safe location due to all the homeless people that harrass you in the parking lot + they have a bunch of tents with trash on the side of the building. I went into staples to make copies and send faxes. I brought my non verbal autistic son with me and he was having a very bad day, kicking and screaming. I was over whelmed and ready to leave. A female worker by the name of Kasey was working that day and went above and beyond to help me get through everything I needed while dealing with my sons meltdown. I don't have the words to say how much I appreciate her help. It's people like her that make these moments bearable and give me hope in humanity. I spend lots of money here on printing. Recently spent a couple hundred on a print job. A couple items were not double sided. They reprinted. I asked for the four 8.5"x11" copies that were one sided as in the past I have always been given the misprints. Not usable for my job but I can train staff with these. I have always felt with Cassie she is great. The new dept head would not give them to me, if fact barely gave me eye contact and only spoke to me from afar. I stood my ground. She called the manager Michelle. I was told just this one time they would give them to me. So rather than give a local small business owner, who had no work in two pandemic years, who spends close to a grand in this store a year 4 simple paper copies Staples would rather add to the landfill. My business is not valued at this store. I have been back twice and Chris a young staff had been very nice. But these kids come and go, they are not management. And management was rude and clearly has no concept of how to treat and keep customers. I need same day, I day digital print posters and such I am shopping local shops to move my business. read more

Except for being the only chain store in Yuba City, this is a miserable store. This includes being understaffed, rude, incompetent, over priced, unable to consistently deliver any semblance of customer service, an insane layout making finding items difficult, more interested in spending time on the telephone or having personal discussions on the floor than helping customers. This review is specifically for Cassie in the print center. I will echo what other reviews have said about her over the years: she - is - awesome! Our company always needs random stuff printed last-minute and Cassie always makes sure it gets done. Others in that department haven't always been so accommodating. Whoever is in charge of promotions and/or pay raises at this store needs to take notice of all of the positive reviews Cassie has brought in, and reward this woman immediately! read more

I come here on a Friday and purchase two laptops with two $50 off coupon, one for each laptop. Manager comes over and tells me that they can no longer do that because they got in trouble by the corporate office for doing that. So I ask them to ring them up as separate orders. The manager says no and said you have to come back tomorrow to use the coupon again. This is the same store which just allowed me to use similar coupon the previous week on one order. So, I come back the next day to purchase another laptop and since the manager from Friday saw me in there again today he tells the employee ringing up to tell me that coupon in only good "one per customer" and for now on I would only be able to use this type of coupon only once per promotion period. Well, I needed a few more of these laptops so I go to an out of town Staples to purchase the exact same computer. I get there and they have only 3 of the laptops left that I am looking for, and I ask how many can I buy with the coupon. The associate says I can purchase all of them with the coupon. I then ask will they get in trouble for selling me so many at the same time and he calls over the manager and he says there would not be a problem. Then the manager proceeds to ring up all three laptops at the same time and accepts all three coupons in a single order. Now this would not be the only time he has accepted multiple coupons with an order, so I thinking the manager at the Yuba City Staples is bullshitting me, someone who only likes customers that buy high margin items from his store, or an asshole. This is a store that sells technology, but has a Call Waiting system from the '80's. A time waster like that shows lack of consideration for customer's time. Store employees seem pleasant and capable, this is an issue that can only be addressed by management. read more

Went in to buy any laptop that would qualify for the store coupon I had. After waiting about 20 min, they told me they don't have any, even though their website said they had some, ugh. Then (swear to God I am not making this up) he told ME to look up other staples locations near by & get the phone numbers & call them to see if they had any. Wow, thanks a lot! So friggin helpful. The printing department and the manager do not care about helping there disabled customers with printing. After sending in your order they demand a confirmation code in person no acceptions then after you physically take in the confirmation code and tell it to them then you have to wait 1 hour to print 1 paper. Talked to the manager he was no help told me the only other option is doing it myself disabled veteran in a wheelchair. Girl behind the counter just kept telling me what she couldn't do rather than how can she help me. Horrible service other staples even I'm bigger cities do not make a hassle out of such a small task. If you'd like a paper printed within a normal time frame go to ups on stabler they will have it ready when you get there. read more

The employees and the night supervisor are very rude and do not provide customer service. I came to the store to print some simple documents and had issues with the printer. Some people on these posts you just can't please, no matter how hard you try. The store is there because it works and those of us that LOVE Staples are happy they are here. I can go in ANY time of day and immediately get someone help me. I never even have to ask. I always go to get paper, supplies, and folders for my projects. The staff are ALWAYS helpful, kind, and knowlegeable. They go out of their way to help you. Thanks for having such a great bunch of Associates! One wonders why the Office Depot closed = (I went in there are NO ONE was even willing to get out of their chair to help...hmmm wonder why THEY closed?) There's just something off about this store. It's a huge and has lots of inventory but it seems to be lacking something...customers perhaps. The employees were not nice or mean, helpful or unhelpful they were just lacking overall purpose. It felt like they were just babysitting the office supplies. The copy center used to be great; it has sure gone downhill over the last few years. Very seldom can they do a quick request on the spot. They are always overwhelmed and understaffed. I wish Office Depot were still here. I have a laptop that I bought at Staples. It has a cracked screen. I did absolutely nothing to the laptop. Staples could not fix it or give me any assistance in any way. Also, the copy center is a joke. I placed an order for 100 front-to-back copies, and they were all single-sided. Seems like none of their staff want to be there and I don't blame them. This place seems like it'll suck the life out of you the moment you step in. I remember buying into a promotion online, picked up my order, then later received a call saying it was a glitch and they wouldn't honor it and for me to "do the right thing" and go back to pay them more money. I didn't have a problem with paying more, but the lady had that demeaning tone like I stole something and she was ready to call the cops. Needless to say, Staples hasn't gotten a penny from me since. Not pleased. I went in needing one copy of one item that i would email to them and was told it was something like a 2-hour wait. Girl was rude; tole me to email it to a certain Staples address and that i would receive a code back within 5 minutes that i could plug into one of their self-service copiers. Thirty minutes later that still did not happen. I don't get paid by the hour, i get paid for productivity. FedEx Print service here I come. read more

The place needs an attitude adjustment. My guess is it should start from the top. My latest experience there has been shopping for a new laptop. While standing in front of the few computers they have,I was passed by at least four employees and ignored. They ranged from the manager to one of the guys working in the computer repair area(they have a know it all attitude as well). I have a mixed review and wish it was all positive.. The only star is for the staff. I would give her 5 stars if I could but this review is about the product and I would give that 0 stars if I could.. I uploaded some invitations and sent them to this staples to be printed.. Here's the deal.. Positive: The staff was amazing! The lady who helped me was so nice and fast and helpful. This negative review has nothing to do with her as a person or a staffer of staples.. However that being said... The invites were funky. They were dull, dark, flat in color and part of the design was chopped off.. Let's start with the uploading. Your program is ridiculous! I couldn't have my design on filling the paper without stuff being cut off and if I wanted it all in there I had to have a border! As for the look, I know it wasn't what I uploaded bc I just couldn't send those out and ran to get some photo printer paper and printed that at home myself.. (which is what I will do from now on because They turned out great! Full of color and shiny. I spent $20 on 25 invites that are now recycled paper. :/ What a bummer. I will NEVER have anything printed there again. Staples is all about that too. Come on staples update your equipment.. or something! The staff, like I said was amazing... As I was scheduled for a surgery, I asked the hospital staff for an advance directive form. Believe it or not they do not provide those! As I currently do not have a functioning printer, and my doctors and my attorney's did not have the forms, I called Staples tech department to ask if I could pay them to print one off for me. Eddie was so kind, informed me I could go to the other side of the store to where all the copy machines etc. are and use the computer there. The young lady, whose name I did not get, was so helpful when I asked a few basic questions. She asked me if I could just slide over and let her take care of it for me because she has just gone through the same situation with her father! So within five minutes she had gone online, found the form, printed two copies and for under $10 I was on my way. Needless to say that was a small price to pay. I am a 74 year old widow with no family in the vicinity any longer, and finding younger people like this who want to work, and do a wonderful job at compassionate, patience help is a blessing and tribute to this store.
