This place is a hot mess. Samantha is rude and unprofessional, I think perhaps she was having a bad day because she did not greet me when I got to the counter and then told me to set my package on the weigh machine. When finished with my package, she didn't thank me or ask if I needed anything else but said to the next person "next" and wouldn't even look at me. She needs customer service training UPS store! The lines ate always long and clearly they need to hiring more people with positive attitudes would be a great addition to this business because it's missing. Side note, on another visit they charged me almost $30 to send a fax to Palm Springs which is absolutely insane. Will not be returning here. read more

I've been to many UPS Stores over the years, and I wish I had another receipt handy for comparison because this one was shocking. A $3.99 "email fee" just to receive and print a document that was emailed to the store. When I asked about the charge, the employee responded, "What do you think, it's free?" I understand businesses charge for services, but nearly $4? I expect to pay for the printing itself, but charging extra just to receive an email seems like paying a tip before any service has really been provided. read more

Three employees in the store I was the only person in there and was having difficulty reading because I forgot my glasses so that I could send them an email to print for me. I asked for help and in the interim she helped for other people so that I could stand to the side and try to figure it out. I was struggling and I said I was struggling mind you there was one employee there chasing her child around and another employee sitting at a desk on the computer there was one girl in there actually working really disappointing.. read more

5 stars to the staff that STAY and put up with so much SH. This review isn't about them, as, I've had great encounters with them from day 1 (yes, even though this store has a high turnover rate of employees and has changed ownership a few times since we became box holders). My complaint isn't about the staff, it's more about the higher ups who "manage," and "own," this store - you both have got to be kidding me to think you know about what goes on in your store. Background: I've worked at a slow-paced UPS Store and a fast-paced one - this store, it brings you a lot of revenue because of how rural it's location is and with very few options in town of where to go. You realize that you treat all of the girls with such shameful attitude that you comes full circle (thus, why you have a high turnover rate). Ever heard of the saying, "you'll catch more flies with honey rather than vinegar?" You should allow your employees some grace and reward them for the great work they do in-and out, every single day - while you do what? You think you know how to operate a store, you don't - I've never even met the "new," owner of this store - when I worked for UPS, I worked directly with the owners - your employees don't even know who you are. Word to the wise, oh holier-than-tho, "management, give your employees better incentives and they'll more than likely be a happier and more manageable crew. No need to tell me to email the store with any further questions or concerns because I don't need to hear from an employee - I'd like to know how you'll better the working environment that these gals are in. If I need a dose of bad attitude, I know exactly where to go. The people who work here are just plain rude. There are no signs explaining where to stand in line or get various services. But they cop attitudes if you ask. They charge you for accessing your files on a flash drive rather than allowing the copier to read the flash drive, and then tell you you need to go stand in the long line even though you were the first person there trying to figure out the copier. Honestly, it's just easier to go someplace else. Whenever I have to run errands down the hill, I just go to the UPS store down there or find a FedEx Kinko's. The only time I come here anymore is to return my Amazon purchases because at least that way I'm not giving the store my money. Even then they act like you're doing something bad to them personally by merely being there needing to have them scan the code for the return. read more

Have used this store many times for shipping and more recently for notary service. Never a problem...always good service!

SHIPPER BEWARE Management has instructed the employees to only estimate shipping charges and to ADD 3" to all dimensions before charging the customer. Then the employee is to take the item to the back to be boxed up and shipped out "when they have time." That means that although the ACTUAL dimensions of the box are 18"x14"x10", you will be charged for a package that is 21"x17"x13". Shipping charges are based on SIZE, weight, and destination. Items customers have brought in to ship frequently sit on the back packing table for hours, sometimes days. Especially if they require difficult or odd shaped boxing. Meaning just because you ship something on a Thursday, it may not be boxed and ready for the driver to pick up until Saturday-- or even Monday! Mail sorting and distribution is not done in a timely manner, if at all. I have seen as many as three postal tubs of mail that needed to be sorted and distributed to the box holders mailboxes. Packages delivered to the store by other carriers MIGHT get checked in the same day, but it's unlikely, particularly on weekends when the store is sorely understaffed with only ONE employee working their shift from open to close with no break whatsoever. This is not speculation, nor am I fabricating this information. I am writing this as a former employee -- former because I would not in good conscience commit fraud and steal from the customers by overcharging them. read more

Simply put, I was doing an Amazon return. It wasn't my first time. I presented my phone to show off the QR code and there was a shipping label instead. I was given two options by the young lady with freckles at the counter. I can print the label or she can print the label for 3.00 dollars. I also need a box. She said. Surprised, I responded. I thought I could just scan this and ship it. She said - no you cannot. I said this seems like a scam? She said, it's very frustrating in agreement. I walked out of the store called Amazon got a QR code and walked back into the UPS store. When I reached the counter after waiting I said you should've just told me that I needed a QR code. She said I thought you did this all the time. I thought what an odd response to a customer whom you are providing a service to. I don't know if she doesn't like black men or she if was having a bad day. What I do know is that - all she had to say - to any customer - coming in to do an Amazon return- who presents a shipping label - is - the easiest thing you can do is call Amazon - they'll give you a QR code -and then you don't need a box or a label. I don't know what's wrong with this store but wait times are always excessive, the line is usually long, moves painfully slow, and the service isn't great. The staff are pleasant enough, and I want to be careful not to criticize them personally because they all seem to be good people. Instead, there seems to be a management/traning problem here. Every time I've been to this store during the past seven years, it seems half of the staff is MIA, playing on a computer, or in the back while one person is at the counter trying to receive & scan packages. And considering there's always a line here, it's odd that the place isn't setup to accommodate a queue. There's no table or place to put heavy packages while waiting in line. It is what it is. It could be SO much better with a few small changes, but it doesn't seem that the management cares. Sending anything via UPS is my last resort in this town because of the poor service at this store. read more

We needed to get documents notarized and came to this UPS store. Bryan the UPS Regional mgr was so kind, friendly and helpful. The store was busy and he was able to help us right away. We didn't mind him help other customers as they came in by giving them verbal instructions as he was helping us. He multitasked quite well! This is a nice store with a lot a services and supplies available. If you need faxing, color/black and white copies, shipping, mail box, copies of all sizes or notary services give them a try. read more

This store is pretty good. I feel like the employees are over worked but it is well staffed and they all seem well trained. There is often a line but it moves quickly. They don't give a warm reception but they are efficient so it's no big deal. I have done Livescan fingerprinting here for volunteer work and I've done lots of Amazon returns here too. I wish I could give 0 stars. I believe that the employees are earnest and trying but the systems in this store are not working. I paid the annual fee to have my packages delivered here. First of all, every time you go in, it's thirty minutes no matter what time of day it is or who is behind the counter. I have never gone in and been handed my packages. There is always a mad search for them all over the store to find them. Recently, an important package lost, a package that Fedex shows as delivered by an employee of the store is MIA, I have spent hours of my time trying to find this. And I have called over and over again to get notifications each time being told it's fixed to still not get any notifications. Beware! The post office in Joshua Tree takes a little longer to sort, but things are secure and efficient. read more

I rarely write reviews but had to note that Leah Howe and Natalie were absolute superstars in helping me print my design proposal at the very last minute! They stayed beyond closing and cared to get the sizing correct for my print outs. Their excellent customer service and effort really got me out of a bind. They drum to be pretty well stocked for your general shopping needs. Also found out their box rentals age almost half the price that I currently pay for mine at another UPS Store. Had to come update my review once again because they literally gave my package away to another person admitted to doing it and now is trying to get the package back from that person. This was a birthday gift from my grandma so it's pretty likely that I won't ever see it. Super disappointed in this store I've never had such poor service from a UPS location. I've lived in serval different states and always used a UPS for my post box because they don't do size limits on packages you receive but I've never had a store make soooooo many mistakes. The store itself is clean and employees are friendly but I was charged five dollars per package to pick up a shipment from a large online seller who wouldn't ship to a PO Box and offered this UPS store as a no-charge pick-up option. The $5 fee notification was a handwritten note taped to each of my two packages so it came across as an unprofessional $10 ambush. I've never experienced this issue in the past but the register employee said it's always been policy so who knows. Again, staff is friendly, the store is clean, and there's plenty of parking but the surprise ten buck surcharge just to pick up a package which I didn't even want delivered here in the first place is tremendously off-putting. I'll use this store to drop off Amazon returns (unless they tack a surprise fee onto those as well) but that's about it. read more

This UPS center took my money and decided to send out my package via the Postal Service without my permission. My package is now lost and I have to file a claim via USPS to find it. I will be expecting a full refund AND the replacement value of the item lost if the package is not found. read more

I'd like to give zero stars to the blue haired employee working on Sunday. Myself and several other customers waited patiently while she was going through a box marked USPS after about 10 minutes I asked her if she was by herself and if she planned on going through the whole box before she waited on anybody else she never looked up and told me yes and if I didn't like it, that I could go somewhere else! I walked out along with other customers. She was unbelievably rude, and obviously not capable of dealing with more than one customer at a time? The last time I did an Amazon return there I was in and out of the store in less than a minute. I would suggest the management train her on her customer service skills. read more

Shortsighted ripoff. Went in to mail something back to Amazon. The clerk said my copy of the shipping label was a little blurry. She said I could email the original right then and they'd print it out. I asked how much to print two copies. She said 28 cents. Ok. We do it. Then she charges me nearly five bucks. When I ask why, she tells me, oh there's an "e-mail fee." For what? It didn't cost them anything and she suggested it. Talk about actively ripping off and therefore losing customers. There's a copy plus down the street who are straight shooters. It ain't the money, it's the principle and the greed and how about disclosing upfront what the costs are going to be instead of lying about it to our face by telling us it was going to cost us 56 cents, instead of nearly ten times that amount. Y'all are thieves and stupid. Small town. Word gets around. Shame on you. read more
