I came in awhile ago for a notary and the guy was very dismissive. The value is already set I'm assuming by the state. Those things are a very real deal, but the thing is that the place was absolutely filthy. Food was everywhere , trash on the floor, very messy. I hope it has gotten better. Will never use their service again. While waiting on the owner, I taped up my package then the gal that was working there came in and was very rude about me using the tape. Not even may I help you. Due to her attitutude and unprofessional service I walked out. Then she was accussing me of stealing the tape. I told her I would come back when the owner is around to let him know of his rude employee. I paid the 2 dollars for the tape but after using this buisness for several years and with the rude reception that I recieved today I will never step foot back in this place. Avoid at ALL COSTS! I usually avoid them anyway as a friend said they screwed up and lost a package of his, but it was after 5 so they were the only option. Use the other places in town and do not bring your business to this establishment! I had a couple of tiny boxes that had to go out today and was on a budget and drove several miles to this store up against time. This place charges TWO dollars to use any small amount of tape! The 2 boxes were literally 9 inches across. They must make 200 bucks per roll of tape-they have an upcharge and offer to "sell" you a roll at over double the prices of Home Depot or any hardware store. I didn't have enough on me to buy any tape, and the incredibly smug hipster that works there named "Dakota" said he would not take my packages when my only option left was Gorilla glue I had in my car. I mean we are talking 5 cents worth of tape and this guy could not even offer to just tape it for me so I can get this stuff shipped. He was incredibly rude and condescending. He did nothing to diffuse or help the situation, just add to a customers aggravation and rubbed salt in the wound. I mean 2 bucks to tape a tiny box is robbery almost all places provide tape. An absolute rip off and now I'm stuck paying 10 more dollars in gas to drive into town tomorrow. He literally would not tape nor take my boxes! Hope the 2 bucks was worth it guys. Hope this loses you way more business and as stated they lost an associates package a few months back. Don't trust them and be warned. They are overpriced and have horrendous customer service. Normally, when I have a return, I go to the place in Yucca Valley but I was out in 29 for work. When I do a return I just pull up the QR code on my Amazon account, they scan it real quick and if I want a receipt, they print me one out and I am on my way. When I arrived at 29 Postal plus, I was told they can't scan it and I would have to email the information to them. Not a huge deal but whatever, but then I was told they charge 25 cents. I thought one of the perks to having a Prime account was free returns but maybe it's their store's policy. Seemed fishy but I went to pull out some change from my pocket. Since every other time It's been free, I left my wallet in the truck. I figured the guy would let it slide but after reading other reviews about their militant $2 tape charge, I should have known. So after finding a quarter between my seats and coming back inside, I was then told that I should take a picture of the postage on the box as a receipt. A packaging place that can't scan a basic QR code and can't print out a receipt? Charges a fee on something that should be free? With as much as they charge for that and $2 bucks for a tape job, you would think they would fix their entry way. That death trap, trip hazard has lawsuit written all over it. The thing is, I wasn't mad, I actually chuckled upon leaving because a quarter, having to email and take a picture is a first world problem and wasn't that big of a deal, but at the same time, reviews need to be forthcoming and that could be a big deal to someone in a hurry or on a tight income. read more

Called at 1:00 today Saturday to DOUBLE check they were open until 3. Man on phone said yes. Drove there from Joshua Tree, about 15 miles, got there at 2 and CLOSED. Two other disappointed people were there as well. Full on lying won't do your business any good. It was a big waste of time and gas. read more

Somewhat recently ownership of this business changed hands. It is now owned by a lovely couple. I genuinely enjoy going in there. They certainly can take care of anything that you need with regard to shipping but they are also able to receive packages as well. They have a notary, and other services as well. I have a PO Box with them there. It cost me less than $10 a month what I like most about these to is the fact that they are so kind. It seems like they always have a nice thing to say. I came in earlier today and I was actually pretty depressed. The owner listened to me and genuinely shared his compassion for my troubles. And then he offered some encouragement before I left. These guys are the best! They easily deserve five stars read more

They claim that they will forward your mail for six months they are legally supposed to. But they don't! Go to the post office. You will always get your forwarded mail. This place sucks. And if they don't send it you can't prove it. read more

On 26Jan17 I dropped off a package to return to a company. The package had a pre-printed USPS return label provided by the company because it was a warranty return and was at no cost to me. When I dropped the package off around noon, the gentleman told me it would go out that afternoon and I didn't think anything of it. After not hearing anything from the company regarding my replacement product by Friday, 10Feb17, I called the company and they checked the tracking number which indicated the package was never scanned in at 29 Palms Postal, nor did it depart that location. I called 29 Palms Postal and they were unable to provide any information regarding my package. They said they don't keep records of USPS packages dropped off at their location. This basically means that it is my word against theirs that I dropped off the package there. Word of caution- if you drop of a package there with a pre-printed shipping label, take a cell phone picture/video, have them sign something, get a receipt, or find another way to prove that they indeed received the package. read more

While the staff is certainly helpful, they don't appear to know how to read a calendar. On Friday, 12/08, I dropped off a package for delivery. I was told it would go out that day and would arrive on 12/15. On 12/15, since I had heard nothing, I logged on to UPS.com and fed in the tracking number. Having paid extra to insure the package arrived by 12/15, I now find out it didn't even leave the store until 12/12 (Tuesday)! And will not arrive until Monday, 12/18!! My advice is not to ship from here if your package is time-sensitive. Make the drive to one of the regular UPS/FedEx/USPS offices. Also, if you drop off or send a package from there with any kind of pre-printed shipping label, make sure to take a cell phone picture/video of it. I also asked to take a picture of my UPS shipping label and I'm glad I did after reading some of the reviews here. Otherwise you'll have no way to prove that you dropped off a package there/they received the package. read more

This postal office is not as widely known as it should be! I have had multiple amazing experiences with this office, the first to get my marriage license notarized by a very kind woman, and the next to conveniently drop my UPS package with no hassle! Highly recommend stopping in by them! read more

Literally the best place in town. I love how they take our business seriously and really provide quality service for their customers. Let's face it, it's expensive to ship anything. These guys do it for the least amount possible. Just a great place where you know everyone and can trust you will get excellent customer service. Dakota, Jhanell, Lynn and the all the others are amazing. It's one stop shipping and shopping. To the guy with the negative review....your experience there is your own doing. First off they shouldn't have to provide you with anything for free. It was your responsibility to have your packages ready to ship. Secondly be grateful that they offered you any tape at all after you spoke so eloquently to Dakota. Yes, I was there in the back room listening to you tell,stomp your feet and literally threatening to intentionally ruin him over your inability to remember to tape your items closed. Why should you get something for free? The company didn't owe you anything and maybe if you had been a little nicer to him he would have comped you the tape but you didn't do that.
