Taking your recycling here is a very efficient experience. I don't know how their prices for everything compare to others but I just bring in cans and CA CRV plastic. They also take milk jugs. It's always fast and easy and the staff is friendly and helpful. Their collection bins could use new wheels but the place is small so it's only a minor inconvenience. read more

Only one person at check out and he's been friendly in the past. The biggest problem is getting in and out of this ratty space where pigeons do their business while you're re-cycling. The floors need a good scub and the lines can be incredibly long. I would imagine there have been a few fender benders here backing up and trying to leave. read more

Customer service is a bit rough. Prices are competitive but since RePlanets are all closed there's not really another option here. The weight system is based on trust but it's never accurate compared to counting. They only accept 50 counts on CRVs per person per day. With the very long lines and only one person handling customers this is a tedious and frustrating location to deal with. I asked to have 150 counts and they reluctantly agreed, probably because they would make less from scamming the weight system. Another visit I brought in many bags worth at least 25$, received $18 due to weigh method. If you can find a more reliable and consistent recycling service do it. read more

THIEVES I had a lot of plastic bottles and some cans, glass bottles. Most of my plastic bottles were from Kefir Probitotic. When I parked my car, a worker came to me, later I found out "Steve", the one who does the check outs. He pretended to be assisting me with filling of the containers. I filled a large container with the Kefir bottles while Steve was next to me. Steve took a filthy plastic bag I had and asked me if I needed it. I asked him to throw it away. I was busy filling the 2nd large container with more Kefir bottles, then 2 smaller containers with other cans/bottles and did not watch what Steve did. When I was done filling the smaller containers, I was ready to check out. To my shock, the large container full with Kefir Probiotics bottles was gone ! I looked around -- nothing ! Steve was at his check out stand. I asked him where the full big container was. He told he I didn't have one. I said to him that he knew I had a big full container, as he was next to me when I had filled it up. He repeated I didn't have more than 3 containers altogether, whereas I had 4. Apparently the full big one was taken away while I was busy dealing with the other containers. "You are calling me a thieve ?", he yelled at me. Who stole my container, I asked. He said he had it all on camera, and I could watch it, but when I wanted to watch it, he would not play the entire event back, only the beginning. I asked him to let me see the entire recording. He would not let me. From then on, it was a nightmare of unbelievable magnitude ! I told him I wanted the sheriff to come. He called the sheriff to tell them I needed to be removed from his business, as I was causing trouble. I had to wait for almost 2 hours for the sheriff to come. When the sheriff finally appeared, I couldn't believe my eyes: It was Deputy Ortiz, who was dispatched to my call a few months for an incident by criminal neighbors. The criminal neighbor (Jose) had damaged my property numerous times, even on camera. He was on probation for robbery, and was caught with a meth pipe. That night, his roommate threw a burning cigarette to my property, which I had on camera, but Deputy Ortiz "could not see it". While Deputy Ortiz "could not see" how the burning cigarette landed on my property, he advised me "to get along with neighbors". So now Deputy Ortiz watched Steve's camera recording for about 2-3 minutes and said to me: "I didn't see more containers". The entire recording was at least 5 - 7 minutes. I was never allowed to watch the entire recording. Ortiz kept repeating I would have to leave the business and could call Venture Recycling's headquarters. The 3 containers' containts were emptied back into my car. When I came home and looked up Venture Recycling's HQ, there was no phone number listed. I am left with a stolen container full of bottles, valued about $ 10,--. If you go to Venture Recycling, make sure you watch all your containers all the time. If any of them come to you to "assist", be very vigilant. I read the other similar reviews here, also about being scammed by Venture Recycling. Venture Recycling scams you, BEWARE ! read more

Very friendly and helpful which is nice since it's the only recycling place for cans and bottles that I know of in the Morongo Basin.

I took in a lot of recycling. I had 218 gallon water bottles, alone. At 10 cents each, I should have walked out with $21.80 on those. I only got $15 for them. I told the guy how many I had and he told me there was a limit to how many they would take, yet he took them all. I thought last time I was there that I got less than the time before, so that's why I counted this time. Not going back. Will take smaller loads to another recycle center, where I got 10 cents each before. Venture is a rip off! read more

I have been going there for over 15 years and i must say it has gone down hill over the past few years. The employees there are really great but the work conditions are terrible! They have been working all summer long with no swamp cooler or not even a suitable fan in that hot 100+ degree metal building. I was pouring sweat so i can't even imagine working there. And the entire place is filthy with smelly nasty grime. Hot and Smelly. But i will still always go there because i don't care for that place over by the new staters. read more

Right now this tells me they suck when it comes to customer service. I will chose one of the recycling places that publish how much they pay for plastic bottles and take my recycling business somewhere else. read more

Used to be called Wulf's, now it's Venture Recycling. Prices for crv always seem to be good. I was shocked at how much one can get back on copper after I replaced a hot water heater and brought over the scrap after replacing it with PEX..wow! It has a "drive-thru" but be aware when you enter it's a little dark at first and there are often people carelessly walking or parked near the entrance so just be careful. I always bring my stuff pre-sorted so I can get in and out much quicker. The guys are all nice and I've never had any trouble from customers in there. They take all manner of metal too, not just copper, aluminum or brass. I've seen them take lead, pot metal and straight up steel. Yes, it can be a bit grimy in there but look at what is brought in there all day, drippy recycling cans and bottles!!! Yuck, but what would one expect? Remember California DOES NOT let businesses use water to wash down hard surfaces without a method of onsite retention and subsequent disposal of wash water into a sanitary sewer/septic system. I'll continue to go there, I like them alot. read more

Went to turn in recycling Tuesday, and they were closed by 11am. Called them on Wednesday morning to make sure they were still open (10:30am), got confirmation they were, and drove 2 minutes to the center to be greeted by closed doors. That employee could have at least told me they were closing up. Very unprofessional. I have personally never seen them open later than 12pm. The times I have been able to turn in recycling here, it was filthy and filled with a stench only rats and greasy pigeon's would want to deal with. Every recycling center I have been to was out in an open lot, and these poor guys work in a metal garage. Hardly any space to park, and no guidelines to keep others from parking right up next to your door. Do not get me wrong, the people who worked there were "as nice as they can be perceived in the time it takes to weigh your stuff and send you on your way", but it's not worth the hassle if they are never open. read more
