Then the real magic happened when he started cutting my hair. He checked in with me for each step, was willing to work with my changes and new ideas as we went along, and was very gentle and considerate. He is a master of his craft and is genuinely passionate about what he does. He strikes a rare balance between using his skill and artistic eye while helping his clients achieve the results they are looking for while being completely honest about whats achievable and taking into account what will flatter them most. The student who did my hair was very apologetic and nice. It really wasn't her fault. There was exactly zero oversight from the instructors. At all. I never saw one of them. At the end, when I was visibly upset over my hair, the instructor finally came over. All she said was "well, all you can do is book another appointment in 6 weeks. Nothing we can do now". As if I was supposed to walk around looking like a carrot for 6 weeks and then pay full price to likely get botched again. I ended up booking at another salon a few days later. For $30 more than this place charged, she fixed my hair in half the time. Don't go here. This is less of a hair school and more of "let's let students experiment on paying customers and pray they get it done okay". I have gone to hair schools dozens of times before and never had an experience like this.
