This compliments are for the Outstanding follow up with Dr.Son Dung and Dr. Covarrubias, especially…read morethe front desk Assistants' who are responsible for making keep Dr. appointments ,follow up test results and procedures. I was really hesitant at first ,due to the fact of not knowing what the healing process would be,however Dr. Covarrubias and his team players ,explained the healing process, future test and results. I had the Ultra sound - Venus imaging on both legs and toes this afternoon ,i heard the blood flow sounds(during this procedure) ,so i am hoping that all is healthy and well with stents procedure in both lower extremities of my legs. Should you ever need an Outstanding Vascular procedure , I highly recommend OC Vascular & Endovascular Surgery Center, located in Fountain Valley , Ca. In my synopsis Dr. Son Dung and Dr. Covarrubias are one of the Best in Orange County Memorial Care network ,my Genuine thanks to all participants. Thee Counselor

Originally scheduled for angiogram on left leg ordered as "urgent" in June, then cancelled 3 days…read morebefore the procedure because they did not have a heparin substitute in their office. Then rescheduled for the 1st week of July @ UCI-FV because the hospital did have the heparin substitute. Then two days before the surgery after I had arranged transportation and cleared my schedule, they AGAIN cancelled the procedure, giving me a nonsensical excuse about how opening the restricted artery would cause increased vascular edema, I got a second opinion, and was told that the excuse was nonsensical. When confronted they then sent me on a snipe hunt for more tests, then came up with yet a different excuse opposite of the first excuse. This after all insurance authorizations had been obtained. After I insisted proceeding with the procedure that THEY has initially determined was "urgent" months ago, they seem to be unable to coordinate with my clinical pharmacist, even though that information is clearly in my Epic chart, and I had provided that information back in June. I suspect that the issue is that since the procedure requires a more expensive anti-clotting agent than heparin due to my being allergic to heparin, and that they could not perform the issue (and bill for that part) in their center, that the issue was not really about the procedure, but about how much they would be reimbursed for the procedure and the heparin substitute. They were all gung-ho to proceed in June UNTIL they determined that it would require a non-heparin anticoagulant and that the procedure would have to be performed in the hospital instead of their clinic. I work with medical practices - have for more than 30 years. According to my inquiries, the heparin substitute apparently needed is not in short supply, its just much more expensive than heparin. Further, its been more than two months, even if it was back ordered in June, it is not currently on back order according to my inquiries.

We are incredibly grateful to the dedicated team at [Pedes Orange County] and to Dr. Hewett and Dr…read more Goldstein for their ongoing care for my father. He has faced multiple vascular surgeries this year, and his recent ultrasound showed concerning findings. We were hopeful for one more procedure before year's end to help prevent further complications. Unfortunately, we've been unable to reach the team despite our best efforts, and my father's foot condition continues to worsen. This is an urgent situation for him and our family, and we're seeking immediate guidance and a clear plan of care. If anyone has recommendations for: how best to reach the care team (phone, after-hours lines, or patient portal), alternative contact points within the same medical group or hospital, or guidance on next steps for urgent vascular/foot care, we would be profoundly grateful.
