I absolutely adore the Victorian! I've been coming to the Victorian since it was located in Ponce City Market, but I love the new location. I love the layout. I love how it has more natural light for the plants, actually. I love the bar upstairs; the drinks are absolutely fabulous. Check out their drink menu. They have a bunch of cool crafted cocktails there with an outdoor seating area that just creates a vibe. Also, this bar is open even when the Victorian is closed, stays open late, and typically has live music. I recommend visiting the location both in the evening for a bar experience and during the day for a shopping-and-drinking experience. Great add-on to elevate the shopping experience. The plants are amazingly beautiful. Well taken care of, and The Victorian offers a variety you can't find anywhere else! Please just know these are not your Lowe's or Home Depot plants. These are very much like the bougie friends of plants, like the rich cousins, not to put down Lowe's or Home Depot cause I do have some babies from those places, but these are taken care of on a different level. They do have plant food on site. I prefer the good dirt. It's a little pricey, but your plants will thank you for it. I visited The Victorian and was pleasantly surprised by the plants at this shop! The interior is decorated beautifully, with different types of plants, and everything is organized to be very aesthetic. There is some seating off to the side, and other items besides plant related things like candles and incense. The person working in the store was pleasant and friendly, and did a great job keeping the interior clean and welcoming. I didn't get to look at all the prices, but for the few things I did look at, I'd say the price is pretty fair for these plants. It's located upstairs by E + Rose along the Beltline, so you can either do street parking, use the parking garage, or park further out for free street parking and then walk along the beltline to get there. read more

Upon arrival, the location is a little hard to find if you're not a local. We parked across the street and had to walk up the long flight of stairs on the outside of the shopping center. The area is very trendy and growing rapidly. There are not many sign for the shop/bar until you climb the flight of stairs. We just wandered around for a bit and took a chance trying to find this place from the yelp directions. lol! I had such a delightful experience at The Victorian while visiting Atlanta! While we didn't check out Burle's Bar, it's worth noting they offer a great selection of rotating cocktails--classic and seasonal zero proof options, as well as natural wines and a simple beer menu. The bar is connected to the plant shop but still separate enough, where if you only want to visit one-- you're still able to do so! What really stole the show, though, was their incredible assortment of house plants, planters, and home decor. The variety of plants was impressive, and the decor--from unique planters to stylish pots--was top-notch. I couldn't resist picking up a plant, and they did a complimentary potting service right there. My plant came with a cute little sign in the soil, which shows off the cute Victorian Atlanta logo (which honestly I have left in for all to see). The prices are a little steep, but the quality and eclectic assortment make up for the price. I love plants and had been eyeing a specific cactus - so when I was on the beltline with friends and noticed that the Victorian had it, I knew I had to get it. I'd been to the old location at Ponce city market but hadn't checked out the new location, so it was fun to see the inside. They have it set up so cute, there's soooo much natural light. It's a really cute vibe. The plants are definitely on the expensive side. However, they do have a rare assortment that I haven't found at any other plant shops around the city! I bought the cactus I'd been wanting and a terracotta pot for it. If you buy a plant + pot, they'll plant it for you with the proper soil for the given plant - I love this additive. I was bummed when after less than a week of bringing her home, a random hole started growing right on the middle of a ridge in the cactus. They have a policy where if a plant has issues within 7 days of getting it, you can replace it. I emailed and they were super responsive and quick and hand me send photos so they could try to diagnose. They then let me know I could come in and pick out a new one. I went in and they were super friendly, took the old cactus and potted the new one I'd chosen! Really appreciated the service there. read more

After 5 years, I finally made it to the famous East Atlanta plant and coffee shop-in-one! I stopped by on my way back from a friend's place in South ATL. I ordered a coffee from Bellwood and bought a small succulent plant. Unfortunately, I am a bad plant parent and thus this plant died after a few weeks. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I felt like you could spend multiple hours here. There is also seating outside and at the coffee counter in the back. This is my go to plant shop! The customer service is always top tier. They have such a great supply of plants, books, pots, soil. The fact that I can grab a new plant, get great advice on any questions I may have and grab a latte at the same time is always a win-win for me. They have a few outside seating options as well. A charming little plant shop in the Ponce City Market. They have a great variety of plants and the ambiance is... an experience. When you walk in you are greeted with the warm smell of incense and several shelves full of plants. They have an "eclectic" selection of pots, in particular, the really popular butt/boob/genital style pots that are trending right now. And they also sell customized soil mixes and offer repotting services. One of my bars of excellence for plant shops is whether or not they have fungus gnats, and this one definitely passed the test! No gnats and the plants appear to be well taken care of. I suspect that is part of the quality you are paying for. If I lived in the area I would totally come back. Because aside from the cool plants and accessories they have, it's also just a cool vibe. read more

The Victorian Atlanta is located in Ponce City Market. They were previously a part of Citizen Supply but opened a standalone store in August of 2020. The shop is located at the entrance of Ponce right by where you purchase tickets for parking so it should be easy to find. It's not a large shop but they do have a nice selection of plants including more popular varieties like aloe, snake plants, and fiddle leaf figs. I decided to stop by on my birthday to pick up a couple plants for my apartment. I hadn't owned plants previously so I had some ideas about what to get but was open to suggestions. I ended up getting a Strelitzia nicolai 'White Bird of Paradise' plant which requires moderate moisture and light. They have a limited selection of planters (mostly clay and concrete) and I wanted something gold or with gold accents so I chose not to get the plant potted at that visit so I could find what I was looking for. They let me know that the current soil the plant was in was not ideal and that I'd want to switch it out pretty soon. Potting: if you buy one of their planters, the soil is free. If you get a planter from somewhere else and have them pot it for you, they'll charge you for the soil. Fast forward a week later I went back with my plant and planter, and as it turned out, the planter I bought was a bit too small for my plant. I ended up having them re-pot it anyway so the plant would be in good soil and she just put it back in the original container I purchased it in. Since I had already brought the other planter, I ended up getting another plant while I was there and chose a Dracaena reflexa 'Song of India' plant. It's a succulent so it doesn't require much moisture. The Song of India plant looked great in the planter I bought though so I was really happy with my decision. Prices: The White Bird of Paradise plant was $55 plus tax for one in a 10in pot and the Song of India plant was $45 plus tax. Since I didn't buy their planters, it was $8.25 for the soil for the 'White Bird of Paradise' plant and $12 for the soil for the 'Song of India' plant. The soil was by the quart. I also ended up buying a moisture meter to use for the plants which was $12. They're paperless so they can either text or email you your receipt. I'll be bringing my 'White Bird of paradise' plant back when I have the right planter for it. Service was polite both times and I got some good recommendations on indoor plants and a few plant care tips. Overall, if you're looking to purchase some plants I'd check them out. Just know ahead of time that if you're particular about planters and would appreciate a wide selection, you'll probably want to bring your own. read more

I'm a returning customer that has bought beautiful plants and pots from this shop. I can't give it 5 stars because this wasn't the first time I have been completely ignored here. Having ignored past experiences and having been obliged to try again, I now believe that this may be ageism . Most of the customers seem to be hipsters on the younger side. Today I was completely ignored by everyone , including the plant sales person in the plant side I'd understand if it were busy but there were only a few people meandering , drinking their pricey coffee but no big rush in the plant store. just a women who was an aspirational buyer ( yes, they are important too) The woman that works that side completely ignored me. Not one greeting . not when I picked up a huge snake plant, plopping it on the front counter. Not one when I struggled to lift a heavy (expensive but worth it) pot for the plant. Not one greeting or offer of help when I went to grab a wooden stand to put that expensive pot and plant on top of the stand. This place def gives off aspirational hipster vibes. Women over 50 may want to look elsewhere if you're looking for customer service and a friendly rapport. That thing you hear about that happens when women turn over 50 is true when it comes to establishments like this. This is for the younger side . Take your big purse and wallet somewhere else. i heard about the shop through Youtube and IG a few weeks ago and i've been following them ever since! they update their account and story pretty frequently, so even though you're not there physically, you still see what they have in stock! the shop looks super cute and offers a great variety of rare and common plants, as well as planters, soil, and other plant accessories. i found the plants reasonably priced as well. for black friday, they offered special discounts and even had a rare plant release (in-store first, then online). they had so many rare aroids, hoyas, etc. for the release. i was able to get my hands on an alocasia silver dragon for the low low, like the lowest price i've ever seen. after i checked out, i realized that i forgot to add on a heat pack. i hit them up on IG and they were quick to respond. they were able to add on a heat pack and bill me separately. the order shipped mid-last week and i received it on Sunday. the plant is well packaged and filled with peanuts. the heat pack was wrapped with paper towel and secured with a small cardboard. my plant looks super cute and looks in good health (one leaf did look a little burned, possibly slight damage from heat pack?). it's a small plant and i can't wait to see it grow! overall, i'm really pleased with the whole experience (ordering, communication, price, shipment) and will shop with them again! looking forward to visit the shop as well if and when i go back to the A! read more

I made my first plant purchase here (dischidia ovata which I was told was a somewhat risky choice for a first plant). It was super healthy when I purchased it and I got it with a cute pot (plant + pot was about 60/65). It is now dying (bc I took poor care of it) so I took it to the location in glenwood and got it re-potted for only $3.00 without tax/tip. The people who work there are very knowledgable and helpful. They will tell you what probably went wrong with the plant/how to care for it moving forward. Recommend taking your dying plants here to be rescued! It's a bit of a boutique plant shop vibe so other plants/re-potting may be more on the expensive side. read more

I was recently in town visiting family and stopped by to see this beautiful shop (that I've been stalking on Instagram all the way from Vegas). Let me just say it did NOT disappoint. I was in awe of the super friendly staff and the beautifully set up displays. They carry a large selection of all things planty. I was able to see some plants in person that I have only seen in pictures. The staff here truly loves what they do and seemed eager to answer all of my questions. They were very knowledgeable and offered to show me the roots of some of the more expensive plants I was interested in, before purchasing. My next concern was shipping. I live across the country and was worried about what condition the plants would arrive. I have to say these were packaged so lovingly and were delivered in amazing condition, even over the hot summer months. The only negative thing I have to say is that they don't have a location in Las Vegas! Luckily, they have an online shop I can order from comfortably, now that I know how carefully they ship items. In the mean time, I'll keep stalking their Instagram for my planty fix. read more

I used to visit this store all the time when I lived in Atlanta and I loved it. Their plants were the only ones that survived my move to New York. My husband and I had waited a year to furnish our new home (in New York) with plants due to renovation activities. We were finally ready and you bet I did my homework on prices as well as quality. I ended up purchasing several plants from The Victorian for shipment from ATL to NYS as 1.) their quality is amazing and 2.) the prices were cheaper than Home Depot (even when factoring in shipping and handling). Everything showed up quickly and looked amazing. On top of this, their customer service for my large order was top notch. They were proactive and responsive; they showed me they genuinely care about the condition of the plants upon arrival (shipping is a wild card these days). I bought a couple plants from The Victorian. They were very beautiful. I did notice all of my leaves on the fig tree were completely covered in hard water and both of my plants' soils were dry and rooted. I took care of them when I got home and didn't lose them. Yesterday my son said he wanted a plant. We are notorious for plants coming to spend their final days with us if you get what I'm saying. Anyway, I explain this to the lady (Zay)and she asks him questions like do you want to water it everyday, sometimes etc he finds a plant (thank God it was on the discounted shelf those prices are high) she asks if we want a pot and he picks out his pot and she repots it for him. The whole time she's repotting it she is educating him on his plant, plant care etc she held his attention and really connected well with him. I really appreciate her customer service and care. We picked up some neem oil and soil as well bc I was feeling empowered to go home and get all my plants together.He was SO proud of his plant. He decided to name his plant Travis Jr (because he believes he's Travis Scott )he's checking on Travis Jr the whole car ride ...I had to make a quick stop. He asks Travis Jr if it's ok for me to stop luckily for me Travis Jr granted me permission to stop and that he would be ok unattended.Along the ride home Travis Sr said Travis Jr does not like willow smith played loudly. I turned down the music as to not upset Travis Jr which makes our hour long ride in traffic unbearable.At this point I'm ready to lose Travis jr. When we got home Travis Sr. showed Travis Jr. The entire house and asked him where he wanted to be placed. They decided Travis Sr. And Jr will share a room. The beautiful part is Travis Sr. spent the whole night in his room We've been trying to get this child to sleep in his room for years and you're telling me all we needed to do was buy a plant? OMG this place is astronomically expensive! Also, the young, brown haired lady with glasses is extremely rude! There was nothing about her personality that made me feel welcome. I was so taken back by her lack of customer service and smiles. Anyways, even though these plants are beautiful you can easily find cheaper, bigger plants on Facebook marketplace, offerup, or even Home Depot. I don't understand how they stay in business. A cactus not even an inch tall goes for over $20! I found a 3 ft tall cactus for $10 on Facebook. Save your money! Also, management, you should rethink that employees future with your company.
