Cheap beer, heavy cigarette smoke, incredible pickled eggs (if you go here and don't eat a pickled egg, you've committed a crime), an eccentric yet friendly owner who will throw you out for dropping an F-bomb or if he sees you acting disrespectful towards a female. And of course, the pennies. You just have to see it. Grab a Yuengling, play some ping pong, and enjoy the best that an old, strange city like Meadville has to offer. UPDATE: The Penny Bar is closed.

If two things weren't enough they also considered themselves an art house and had lots of paintings hanging up around the building. The inside of this place is pretty large with a large bar off to the left side and then some seating and other things off to the right. As I often do whenever I visit a new brewery I decided to go with a flight here. I actually was able to use my wine tastings on beer here but the size wasn't too good and so I paid the $5 for 4 - 4 oz pours. Since the brewery is named 7 sins, as you would guess some of their beer names are also related to that. So for my 4 beers I went with Gluttony (Stout), Pre-prohibition Porter, Greed (Brown Ale) and Frye PA (IPA). Out of the bunch I enjoyed the Frye Pa with the Gluttony coming in a close second. I also thought that the Greed was pretty good but there was something about the porter which I didn't care for. There wasn't anything wrong with it but my palate just didn't care for it. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I enjoyed most of the beers that I had here and I think that $5 a flight is a steal.

The place is just outside of town. The inside is cute with wood floors and ceiling. Looks kinda like a cabin inside. The staff was really nice and the salads were really good. While I was waiting for my food the bartender said to call in my orders instead of online ordering with door dash because the prices are better. I really appreciated her advice. So much so we ordered takeout again the following evening. We got the Outlaw burger and fries, the Cuban, and some fried pickles. Everything was really good. The Cuban was really big, I could only eat half. My boyfriend said his burger was a little more pink in the middle than he prefers but that it was still good. Next time I'm home visiting him, we will definitely be back. The portions are decent. Prices are a little bit higher than expected but the staff and food make it worth it to me. I know stuff costs more now so with that in mind too, I realize businesses have to adjust. It's worth checking out if you're in the Meadville area.

I have been here multiple times and have been treated poorly each time. From flat out being…read moreignored, to being judged from walking in the door. I most recently stopped for a few drinks with my husband to where our total was about $11 (one draft and one lemon drop shot) and the entire time we were there we were getting judge mental looks from the bar manager, bartender, and even a patron. We came in quietly and asked for a few drinks, and never caused any issues and were treated as if we were the dirtiest scum of the earth . They clearly only want you there if you look like you have money. I tried to get one more shot before we left as they had a liquor I wanted to try and was immediately told it was $9 for the shot when coincidentally before.. my one shot and a beer only cost $11? ( the $9 shot was bird dog by the way) I have done nothing but be respectful in this establishment and sure enough each time I visit after working 50-70hr weeks I am treated like I don't belong. I'm sure I'll be banned because I said something negative. We thought about getting dinner there, but I'm glad we didn't as I'm sure we would of been charged more than what the menu price shown so we would not come back as we didn't look like the typical patrons they wanted in their establishment ‍.
