I came to this coffee place while in town and im glad I did. It's such a cute coffee shop! Something interesting is that it had two rooms where one has music and the one next to it has no music for those who need to study. They also have outdoor seating area which I love! The whole coffee shop was beautiful I got their rose cardamom drink which was so good and smooth. My husband got the lavender latte hot and it was good as well. I'm glad I gave them a try. The Village Grind is definitely a busy spot, but they've got plenty of space and the service is still super fast. The coffee was great--I ended up going back again during my two-day stay, which says a lot. They also host pop-ups from local businesses, which is a nice touch and fun way to support the community. Parking can be a bit tricky, but we found free parking a couple blocks away. Also drank my coffee too fast and forgot a pic... but the fact I went back again tells you everything. read more

If you go - you have to try the brown sugar cinnamon latte with vanilla cold foam (my boyfriend's order, I cannot take credit). I got weird looks before I walked inside then no one acknowledged my presence when I got to the counter. I looked at the menu for a minute or two, still no greeting. The touch pad was turned towards me with the menu so I assumed I was to order the drink myself, so I did. Still... the two ladies didnt say a word. But maybe thats the standard here. After I ordered one of the ladies walks up and says "hello did you just order it yourself?" I proceeded to say yes, was I not supposed to... hence no greeting whatsoever for 3-4 minutes. Needless to say, I received my matcha tea w/oatmilk and lavender and walked out. They didnt say thanks, bye nothing. Poor customer service. I see a trend here in S. Carolina. I miss my real southern hospitality back home. So it definitely sucks when you're somewhere new and you aren't treated like you are welcome. The Village Grind has a rustic and cute and DOG FRIENDLY (ok well, not 100% sure it's dog friendly but we brought our pup in and there were no complaints from any workers lol). We stopped in for one last coffee for the road - and "conveniently" noticed it was Doughnut Sunday. There were still a few GB&D doughnuts available - I chose the malted milk glaze with figs & honey donut which was both gorgeous and delicious. It paired perfectly with the nitro cold brew. I was also a huge fan of my rose cardamom latte which was made with their house made syrup. The Village Grind is on my permanent coffee shop rotation for my next Sunday visit to Greenville! read more

I found this cute coffee shop while exploring downtown and it totally made my day. The cappuccino I ordered was rich and bold with a perfect balance of foam and coffee. They had a small but tempting selection of pastries so I tried a scone which was buttery and delicious. Everyone working there was so welcoming and happy to answer questions. I love the Village Grind! Seriously one of the cutest coffee places in this side of Greenville. I love all the natural lighting and the many plants. They have worked hard to curate a wonderful atmosphere. It's always quite busy so sometimes it's hard to find a spot to sit but they have a heck ton of seating, both indoor and outdoor. Stopped in to try out this cute spot this morning after finding them on Yelp. We were looking for a coffee spot with a nice patio where our 2 small dogs were welcome. I tried one of today's latte specials and an oat bar with berry preserves. The food and drink were great as was the atmosphere but sadly the service was lacking. Not memorable. It was just okay. White chocolate raspberry cookie was not good. Tasted too healthy for my taste. If I wanted something healthy, I wouldn't get a cookie? You know? After you've been around the block in terms of coffee shops it's really hard to review one. They kind of all blob into one and their menu's are all pretty similar. They have the usual forms of coffee and some fun pastries. Thanks to Covid I wasn't able to go inside The Village Grind and get the entire experience. I could see that the inside looks really cool. Anyway, I got an expresso and a kale/cheddar biscuit. The expresso was good. I wouldn't say it was great, but it hit the spot. The kale/cheddar biscuit was excellent. That's totally amazing. I don't know. I don't want to be the person who won't give a 5/5 for whatever reason. It's just once you hit your 30's places like "The Village Grind" are fairly numerous in most cities. read more

Village grind has officially moved across the street! It's become even more awesome! Definitely tons of more room to make this a great group hang out or study place. There's a lounge area with a comfy love seat, multiple bar seats, and more seats for groups of 2-4. I literally want my place to look like Village Grind. The decor is amazing and there's green everywhere! There are plants hanging from the sun roof and potted plants every few feet. Quaint little cafe! Lots of amazing options too. Specifically love their tea selections (ginger peach is amazing (iced or hot) and they make a mean chai tea latte. It's always a bit busy, but I think that adds to the ambiance. Still stays fairly quiet inside as well. And they do have outdoor seating. Though you occasionally have to fend off the sounds of trucks and loud cars. Dog friendly, I did see a few people annoyed with one pup. He was a bit "antsy" but that's a mom-dog problem, not the coffee shops problem necessarily. Not a fan of the donuts that are brought in on weekends, but they just aren't my style. I like filled.
