Loooove the location and loved this coffee shop! Visiting from out of town and wanted to stop in a few cafes and we were so happy to find Due South! It's in an old warehouse district that has been beautifully renovated. There are various other businesses in the warehouse as well. It's also on the SRT! They have all types of coffee and espresso drinks and they had a few monthly specials too. I had a lemon, lavender, thyme iced latte and it was delicious. Great flavor and fun to try something new. When I told the barista I was nervous to try it she said she would happily make me a new drink if I didn't like it which I appreciated. It is really cute inside and there are areas inside and out to enjoy your drink, or take it to go. Great service and great coffee. Try Due South!!!! read more

Due South is a convenient coffee shop to stop in and satisfy your caffeinated beverage needs. I've stopped by a couple times now en route to NC. I'm convinced that the Greenville coffee scene is one of the best in the southeast. Don't fight me on this. Parking isn't a problem here - there's a huge parking lot for the entire complex. This location is also dog friendly - perfect for me and my pup! I love their seasonal specialty drinks menus! They rotate seasonally and I've tried a few in my two visits a couple years ago. Loved the lavender rhubarb latte - although I thought placing the lavender sprig on the outside of the latte was a bit odd. There are usually both coffee and tea specialty drinks you can choose from - the fall menu had an interesting drink incorporating cold brew, tea syrup and chai - the Roy & Friends. They also carry local baked goods for purchase - loved the coffee cake we tried from Bossy Bakers. Will definitely be stopping by Due South again next time I drive through Greenville! read more

This is a review of Due South in their newest location. Same great coffee, same great drinks, same great service. I visited during the holidays and enjoyed a holiday drink. I can't remember the name of the espresso drink but it had a delicious 1/2 slice of wafer/waffle cookie on it. Due South has a variety of creative seasonal drinks. This location is obviously much smaller. I visited during the winter and there was only 4-5 tables for seating which doesn't seem to be enough. But when they can open the garage bay door the number of seats grows. I've never visited during the warmer months (I don't live in SC) but I imagine it is really nice. The location seems more promising and better than the last location because of the proximity to restaurants and businesses and common area between them. read more

Visiting SC and wanted to get to some local coffee shops! Ambiance: Located in a small outdoor complex with picnic tables and places to relax/work, Due South Roasters fits the chic stereotype of coffee houses. Parking was easy in the lot. Average traffic at the shop for a Tuesday afternoon. Price: In line with my expectations for specialty coffee servings. Pros: Enjoyed the ambiance, and enjoyed the unique weekly selection of coffee! Nothing extravagant, but simple, relaxing, and stylish is all that's needed for a good coffee spot. Cons: Wasn't familiar with the area, and wasn't initially sure if I was going in the right direction driving through the townhouses/apartments down the street. Once it opened up into the outdoor complex with breweries and other shops I realized I made it! Overall: Awesome local coffee with a great selection and relaxing scenery. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting the area, and look forward to going back during a busier hour when the brewery is open! read more

Their seasonal drinks are very good, and hit the right note for the season. The peaches and mint cold brew was a great balance of letting the coffee notes be the star, while giving a good hint of peach. I was surprised to find that my favorite thing was actually the ice cream. I tasted the Parent Trap (peanut butter and oreo) and ended up buying a scoop. read more

I really enjoyed my time at Due South. I was able to find a table in the sun and find a shady spot when it got too hot. My dog, Luna got to tag along with me, which was nice. There are other shops and restaurants connected. I highly recommend their lavender latte. read more

Delayed in writing this, but we finally got to try Due South back in November. The space was nice and the food menu looked appetizing, but alas we were just there to grab a coffee. I tried a seasonal drink, something mentioning bourbon, caramel, and spices. My brother tried something mentioning carrot cake. They both smelled divine. Unfortunately, both tasted nearly identical, and not in a good way. Mine tasted burnt, watery, "dirty"... and some very weak hint of bourbon. I don't go for overly sweet drinks, but was told by the barista there would be a light sweetness. Not by a long shot. My brother's drink tasted the same, only with a hint of nutmeg instead. Super weird how the scent was there, but the flavors were not. After the third sip of trying to choke it down for the sake of money spent, I resigned to dropping it in the garbage. My brother balked at simply wasting $6ish dollars and drank his just to get the caffeine. Given other reviews I'd hope this is not the norm, but unfortunately at these prices, I would not be willing to give Due South another shot. read more

Even with GPS, this place is hard to find. And then once you're there, you have to look hard to see the sign. Just follow your nose, because you can smell the coffee beans roasting! It's located inside of an old mill. Turn right into the fenced parking area. Once inside, it's a large and interesting place with artwork on the walls, with tables and stools and cozy couches to lounge on. There are employees processing the coffee on the other side of the cavernous space. My cappuccino was presented beautifully but was served lukewarm, and was very bitter towards the bottom of the cup. The highlight was the chocolate cinnamon scone, which was sweet and crumbly. My friend tried the hot chocolate, which was also lukewarm, as well as the ham and cheese croissant. Overall, a nice place to try at least once. read more

Due South is a true conundrum for me. If I were basing my rating on their coffee alone, I'd most certainly give them a 5. Their baristas are knowledgeable and crafty, and there's an abundance of aromatic coffees and even teas to choose from. But their hours are wack. For a place that is ostensibly a coffee house to not open until 9am defies logic. I would go their much more often but by 9am I've already had my normal caffeine intake for the day. Their pastry selection is pretty decent. I particularly like their scones. While they're not made there, they always seem fresh enough. Relatively large portions, too, which represents a good value. On the mornings that I go trail run at Paris Mountain, I like to stop in and reward myself with a Cortado and a pastry. I do like the spaciousness of the seating area. There's ample room to spread out. There's also a variety of seating styles from high tops with bar stools to sectional sofas with coffee tables, which are nice if you like to kick your feet up. One bonus, and it almost made me bump them to 4 stars, is that they're offering a non-alcoholic ginger beer again. I had it back the first time it was available and it was incredible. I'll bring a growler and pick some up the next time I'm in. If it's as good as I remember (i.e. the same "recipe") I'll show them more love. Finally, they're located in the old Taylors Mill, which is continuing its metamorphosis into a retail space. There's a lot going on out there these days. Be sure to check it out if you're in the area. Thursday's from 4pm-8pm are fun with the Farmers Market happening out in their huuuge parking lot. But please, figure out how to roll those doors up earlier in the day! Other places do it, so it can't be that difficult. read more

I'll be honest, when driving into the Taylors Mill area, I was a little freaked out. "Is this actually a coffee shop or am I about to walk into a coffee factory, uninvited?" But, no, it's a coffee shop, I promise! Walking in, I was a little overwhelmed and worried it was going to be a little too much of a coffee novice for this sophisticated coffee menu. But the helpful barista talked me through everything and took the time to get to know what I'm into (cold brews). The cold brew I got was served in a cute little glass and it was super smooth and caffeinated. You're on to something Due South Coffee Roasters... Everything was right about this place... First I was wowed by the location...the old creepy abandoned mill that's being revitalized. I think I would go to a shifty mill for coffee any day of the week if you told me it was there, but this place is magical. The space inside is the converted mill... super spacious, super well decorated for what it is, and oddly, super warm feeling. I wanted to stay here longer on the big leather couch and stare at the roasting stuff just to relax and phase out. It's just a comfortable place. The baristas were something great as well. They take their coffee roasting and making seriously... VERY SERIOUSLY... but not in a pretentious way. They know their stuff... and suggested a sampling to my friend with pallet cleaning soda water in between an espresso shot and a latte that made sense and heightened the appreciation of the flavors... but it's so important to note again that they're nice about it. It's nearly impossible to find the combination of a "coffee snob" barista who is super nice... that's really what they are here. And Greenville/Taylors should treasure that. They have a decent selection of baked goods as well... I had the vegan peanut butter cookie and really enjoyed it.... but the coffee was above and beyond good... as well you would expect from my above paragraph. Also the prices are great. Located in a lonely corner away from the city near the Taylor's Mill. The moment you enter, you would start appreciating the raw character this place has - Brick Walls, Huge wooden doors, Wooden plank benches, Drums and the Bulbs hanging from the ceiling. The bar setup at the counter makes it a Coffee Bar in true sense. The Baristas are courteous and quite friendly. Now for the Coffee - We spoke to one of them who said, they source their coffees from a lot of farmers locally and also from Brazil, Columbia and other parts of South America. At least weekly roastings of ethiopian, brazilian, guatemalan goodness "on prem." Though I dont drink latte, some of the coolest "latte art" I've seen. Live music in evenings! You wouldn't find it, if it weren't for the lonely, yet elegant pallet wood sign hanging from the corner. It has been a long time since I visited a place that wasn't afraid to be itself, proud and ultimately unique. Due South boasts a knowledgeable staff with unmatched talent. Perfectly roasted coffee, all in house, with blends from the various corners of the world. Enough caffeine to get you going, enough flavor to make a bag of Starbacks cry, utterly envious. Latté here is art, almost too pretty to consume. Almost. The ambiance is exactly what it needs to be. The Edison bulbs hang exposed from the ceiling above the bar, dignified and glowing more in pride than to create the light. The tall ceilings and brick walls, exposed and rustic, give the steam coming off your coffee heights to aspire to. Couches sit, waiting to envelope you in their warm embrace. I eat it up, all of it, from top to bottom. Damn, these guys are doing it right here. I will be back. read more

Everything they do is excellent. Really shocked by the food menu, exceptional dishes for a "coffee shop". We had the chocolate croissant, buckwheat waffle, and mozzarella toast. All of these dishes I would order a 2nd time. Again, I want to stress how unexpectedly good the food was. I can only judge this place on the single interaction I had there. My partner wanted to go there for some "emergency" coffee beans. He got his beans and I took advantage of the free drink that you get when you beans from there. I got the nitro cold brew and it was the best cup of coffee I've had. Hours are not like coffee shops in a good-sized city (ie, to midnight or later), but they are average for this podunk town (Greenville-Spartanburg area), where everything closes early due to people following a sleep-wake cycle their parents still keep them on. read more
