The store was orderly for housewares, clothing and kids toys but I didn't find the flow of the store to be easy to find that "hard to find " item. I didn't make any purchases but I assume the value was good as the store was pretty busy on a Tuesday morning. The customer service was good but they too didn't seem to know where the odds and ends would be displayed. The store also had a bit of a used item flea market smell that I noticed when walking in. The parking lot is well marked and there are plenty of parking spaces.

You're only charged the price of the bag as long as all the clothes fit, each piece that doesn't is 50¢ ($1 the other two days). If they do the event again, go the first day! By the third day there is really nothing special to look at. All the clothes are picked over and what was left are just random shirts someone didn't want. They have other clothes that you can browse (for purchase) besides the clothes in the bins to fill your bag. If you are looking for cheaper thrift prices, this is not the store to do that. Luckily, I found a shirt that I liked for less than $10. My cousin was able to find a few things she liked that fit in her bag. We checked out and went and sat in the car for a bit before parting ways with our friend. While sitting I looked at my cousins receipt and I had question about something on the receipt. I went back inside and asked the employees about it. Some were very nice and some were okay. They discovered that she was rung up wrong and refunded us the money she was overcharged. Which was nice! I didn't go in there asking for or expecting any refund, I was just curious. Overall, I don't know if I'd go back there. I think the fill a bag idea is great and would absolutely be worth it if there were items worth putting in the bag. Besides the fill a bag event, I don't know if I would pay the prices for clothes you can definitely find for cheaper at other thrift stores.

What's funny is we were just at Goodwill so I saw a glass jar that was similar to one I found at Goodwill, it was $8 at Goodwill and $34 there. However, that was the only piece I found at Goodwill, whereas here there were so many beautiful pieces. You really can't compare the two, so I'll stop here, but I just wanted to make that clear. I've been into helping the environment recently, so I want to buy secondhand pieces when I can. We were looking for a vase. I ended up finding a gorgeous shell shaped vase. They actually had two, but one had a crack on one side, which is why it was discounted by $50. I decided to go for the non cracked one, which was $140. I think this is reasonable for the quality and it's a statement piece. I saw tons of other items that I loved. There was a standing desk for around $350 and a lot of benches and tables all in the couple of hundred dollar range. Again, not cheap, but definitely less expensive than they probably were when they were new. The guy working there was really nice and helpful. Parking was easy on both sides of the building. They pack this place full of such beautiful finds. I will definitely be back.

In that regard, and like most thrifts, you then have the dilemma that there is a lot of junk, but a few "treasures" to be found here and there. They had a lot of decor and kitchenware that was really nice and well priced. Same goes for the shoe collection. Other than that, it's really really random array of stuff. Maybe more random than most. But they are in support of some hospice businesses so I more than respect their mission and purpose.

They have sales often. For instance, today, all clothing was half off except, pay attention to the tags: if there is an "ND" on it, that means 'no discount' as might be the case with new, name brand clothes that still have the Nordstrom tag attached. Prices are quite reasonable! Much better than Goodwill where you can't get any clothing for under $7/piece. I came away with a big bag of nice clothes and a Dr. Who collectible for under $40. I also like that all their profits go towards various animal charities and there's a huge section of pet supplies to boot. I'm coming back next week when I have more time to browse and cash to buy a pair of nice black leather cowboy boots (if they're still there!).
