Life's Treasures is an adorably named small thrift store in Tampa (one of several). It may be small, but it's certainly packed to the brim. In that regard, and like most thrifts, you then have the dilemma that there is a lot of junk, but a few "treasures" to be found here and there. They had a lot of decor and kitchenware that was really nice and well priced. Same goes for the shoe collection. Other than that, it's really really random array of stuff. Maybe more random than most. But they are in support of some hospice businesses so I more than respect their mission and purpose. read more

I stopped by Life Treasures Thrift Shop today by happenstance, really. I was turning down the alley to go around and get to another part of the plaza and I saw it. They have a lot of reasonably priced clothing, shoes, books, furniture, dishes, and other vintage and gently used items in there. Some things are a little overpriced like the jewelry but hey, don't buy it. There was this these pair of. Vintage barstools with plastic seats and a metal bases with a nice white hrome finish. Today was 50% off of everything so the stools were only $25 each. They go for at least $100 on line and in ther stores. I bought a few things. It was $14.85 well spent :-) I will come back sometime to check out what they have. You should check out out! read more

This is the thrift store you come to on the 50% off days! The prices are a little high, but mostly nice stuff ,and when it's 50% off, then it's a deal they also have a dollar clothing rack and a calendar of what is 50% off each week they do not have much for children's clothing, but plenty of men's and women's as well as furniture and odds and ends. read more

Horrible experience! From start to finish left with a bad taste in my mouth! Tall lanky gray short haired woman took items from me and told me she was purchasing those for herself proceeded to scurry away with her hands full of items she wouldn't allow customer's to purchase! Carolyn over charged me twice and when I asked her to correct this her reply was She Doesn't get paid to be there!!! O.M.G !!! Then my card got debited twice so Carolyn bulged out her eyes shook her head with another customer to embarrass me because I used 2 debits I was treated below her and not good enough when this woman had 0 intelligence and couldn't work a cash register! These volunteers at the Dale Mayby location have some under handing dealings going on there to be quite honest the innocent old lady look they have is not on the up and up I saw two Thieves !!!God only knows what's going on there, I frequent the Brandon store and Never has this happened Jamie is a straight shooter with every single item on the floor price accordingly!!!! $$$$$ is being lost at the Dale Maybry store!!!! read more

The items there were priced well and there was a good selection. Ben working in the back was very nice, and accommodating. The only thing bringing this review down is the two witchy ladies working at the front register. They were very rude and proceeded to mock me when leaving the store. I have been donating in-kind to this charitable organization for over a decade and decided yesterday that I can no longer do so. They broke a cardinal rule about donors - never turn a donation away. My mother in law and her husband passed away recently and they had multiple walkers that I wanted to donate. They told me they wouldn't accept them and to take them down the street to someone else. Their reasoning was they were now being more picky due to space constraints - fair enough but had it been me, I would have said "thank you so much", sent me happily on my way, and then re-donate them down the street myself. I ended up going to Salvation Army who gladly took them and will now be my go to choice for in-kind contributions. read more

Great organized space. Merchandise is easy to find and as this is a thrift store the volunteers and staff have done a great job in keeping it clean. I have had multiple transactions with many staff, with all being positive experience. The store is run for a great cause and its worth a trip over to donate or see what's in store to purchase. Will visit again and "thank you" to the staff who has gone above and beyond to help customers visiting the store...so appreciate!!! read more

Love the staff, they are really friendly and help you find anything you need. I truly y don't understand what these bad reviews are about. I go every week and always find the cutest clothes for the best prices. The have a wide variety of pretty much anything you can think of. The staff is very clean and organized and they are still taking precautions because of covid which is amazing! I love this thrift store and sincerely recommend it to anyone I know. read more

Items are over priced. I did find a few things but ended up spending $85 on not much. When you're asking $10 for books and $15 on clothing - I can go to Goodwill and get a bigger selection and save a little bit of money. This won't be one of my daily stops. read more

Not a thrift store. A visit today, 12/17/21 confirms that this store, which used to be a gem, is still suffering badly from inflated, nonsensical pricing. If I had written this review several years ago, it would've been five stars. I used to find real bargains -- fun or collectible, even valuable items -- all available at thrift store prices. About a year ago, when I commented to the manager that the prices had soared compared to years past, she half-lamented that the volunteers who were price-setting were often doing searches on their phones and setting prices based on those being asked online. She tried to tell me that the store was "more of a resale shop." I reminded her that the sign on the business included the word 'THRIFT' in the name. I told her that nearby vintage shops with nicer things were in many cases more affordable. And I added that while customers probably do recognize that purchases support charity, most are not moneyed philanthropists. She made vague, friendly assurances that she would share with her staff. No changes have been made, so go elsewhere. Online searches reveal plenty of other, nearby thrift stores that understand the meaning of the word. And I'll definitely say that other "Life's Treasures" stores in the Tampa area are worth stopping in. This one, uh, yeah, not so much. : / read more

To the lady who complained about the shop, go back to Miami. You live there. Not in Tampa Really. To the ones commenting on the rude staff... Well there were 2 of them. Super abrasive and rude.... gone. But allow a correction 90 percent of these ladies are VOLUNTEERS. AND I HAVE PERSONALLY WITNESSED too many sarcastic demanding obnoxious and threatening customers over the years. Yep. I ve been dropping in for ions. The back rooms are gems. From curtain poles to rugs to lamps to the electronic components ... This is my first go to.... The managers are tops. The book room is a treasure. Although it makes me sad to see resellers just scanning without even looking at titles. Byy the book read it sell it. Don't just scan that.. so if you're trying to tell people to stay away so that you can keep although good deals to yourself ... Fine. If you are trashing those volunteers because you perceived them to be haughty... That is on you. 2 of them were problematic. Gone. The rest of these ladies VOLUNTEER and stay late when you (me) walk in 15 mn before close....they watch some of your horrid manners and you want them to be nice? You take prices off they catch you. They price this stuff. Do you not think they get it mostly right? Your idiotic reviews reveal a lot about YOU. You re angry because the prices are up....the donations down. extremely rude workers who don't acknowledge or respect their customers. Constantly snotty and unfriendly. Also will scowl at you if you prefer using a credit card rather than using cash (who carries cash anymore). Complain that their fees on processing cards are too high, but that's simply a cost of doing business and extremely unprofessional to even mention that to customers. I humor myself by swinging by here frequently to see if I can find a treasure hidden in all the over priced items this store is jam packed with. Today will be sadly be my last time stopping by this store as this time was my third personal strike with brash foreign older lady behind the counter. The staff at this store is so unbelievably rude I walked out during my transaction. Never again will I be coming back to this store. Well organized, good quality, gently used items. Clothing is divided by size, unlike most thrift stores. Their prices may be a little higher then some other thrift stores, but value is there. They have sales often. Pick up a calendar, so you can plan ahead. read more

The store is well organized. The books are cheap! This is the sorta place that is hit or miss. I do appreciate that once a month they have a 50% sale Thurs-Sat. Get there early. Prices are higher than goodwill or sunshine down the street, but the quality here is the best. Token items found : rare books, overlooked wedding invites, office supplies and costume jewelry. Overpiced. Management will need to verify retail price VS used items for pricing. This is a thrift store, not a retail store. Need to consider the value on some items and not overprice at over retail value, and price fairly at what a used item would cost. I would only suggest shopping here when there is a sale, if not you will end up spending the same as if you bought it at homegoods, or marshalls. read more
