I absolutely loved this place! A hidden gem in Florence. I never expected a vineyard, hotel & event center there! From the moment we walked into the rustic building, we were welcomed & felt like we were home! We were quickly seated, and I wasn't thrilled with where we were. I asked to be seated where we could gaze out a window & enjoy our surroundings, and we were immediately moved. No attitude, just awesome customer service! Our order was taken, and the food arrived fast & hot. I had the garden omelette, and my dining companions both ordered flatbread pizzas. There was plenty for them to take home! Our glasses were kept topped off, our waitress checked on us often, and it was a relaxing, wonderful experience. I highly recommend Farmers Commons! You won't be disappointed!

This is our second time here within 30 days. I must say.... the food and atmosphere were amazing both times. Our first waiter was Jason, we had Eleanor as our waitress the second time. They both were very pleasant and attentive during our visit. My husband had steak and I had the lamb chops. They were both delicious and full of flavor. We also had crab cakes and smoked bacon as appetizers which were also amazing. One of our new favorite places!

We have been wanting to try this place out since we first heard about it 6 months ago. Finally got our chance on a Saturday afternoon. We loved it! My wife and I each ordered a tasting flight (I had the Grape Escape (all reds) for $38 and she had the Through the Grapevine (2 reds and 2 whites) for $35). The wines were nice, but not $35+ worth. Small pours for that kind of money. We also tried the artichoke/spinach dip with homemade bread ($16) and I tried their Smoked Rosemary Old Fashioned ($20). The dip was amazing as was the bread. The Old Fashioned was ok, but a little too much honey in it which made it too sweet, and a weak, limp piece of rosemary that should have been fresh and pungent (which it was not). We sat outside on the deck and really enjoyed the ambiance, nice breeze, and smells from the smoker and wood fired pizza oven. Service was good, with our server checking in on us often to ensure all was well. Overall, the place is beautiful and the food we tried was great. Wine prices are inflated, averaging almost $10 more per bottle than other wineries in the area. We did buy a bottle of their Rapture Trebbiano ($47) to take home and we want to return to try the pizza as well as some of the other wines and will likely do so in the coming month. Service - 10/10 Food - 10/10 Wine prices - 8/10 Ambiance - 10/10

$15 for a small piece of dessert!! This is insane. Even at high-end restaurants in Austin it's not as much.

Decided to go out today to pick up my membership order and was going to cancel my membership, due to a customer service issue for never being able to reach anyone by phone.....But after revisiting and seeing the staff. I feel I have harshly prejudged. They are great people and offer an amazing experience at the restaurant. Great people, truly caring, and I'm proudly keeping my membership. Beautiful property and great food!

It's like a mini Fredericksburg. It is a gorgeous place! The vibes and seating is truly amazing. Wines are delicious and they even have a great cocktail list. Food was delicious and service was great and attentive for me. A hidden gem!

We came down to the Vineyard at Florence to stay for a night away and had the best time. From the staff who welcomed us at hotel reception, to the folks who helped us try some wine at the tasting room, to the food at the restaurant, we were so glad we picked this place for a staycation. The best thing was our bartender D'Angelo- we sat at his bar and he was so nice, funny, and kept us entertained (plus incredibly talented!!).

We attended their recent Mother's Day brunch. I would rate the overall experience as a 3.75-4 stars. We parked and entered the restaurant instead of the brunch venue but I didn't see any signs. The vendor market was nice. We were treated to a free Pineapple Mimosa and it was delicious! I bought my favorite Color Street nails at a booth before our brunch reservations. The entire vineyard has a beautiful scenery and is lovely all around. The rain held up just in time! The decor and setup for brunch felt like a wedding reception, not good or bad. It was very clean, nice, and the atmosphere was great. The buffet had a lot of delicious options but I found many cold items, like the quiche, which was also very heavy and greasy. The French toast was also cold and dense. They kept running out of things and it seemed to take too long to replenish. For the price, however, I would expect warm/hot items. I never got to try the creme Brule and dragonfruit because they kept running out. We did enjoy our time. The mimosas were good and most of the food was good.

A hidden Gem, not too far from home (Georgetown) It shows up in/near Killeen. Party of 4, Friday night, 7pm resy for dinner. We sat out on the patio so we could hear the live music. The views are so picturesque! The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We ordered a bottle or 2 or 3 of wine, a couple of shareables and a main course each. The vibe was chill, the ambience was peaceful, the drinks were refreshing and the food was sooo delicious! I will definitely be back!

Not that I visit too much but I live in the winery, distillery, wedding, brewery capitol of Texas aka Hays County. Got a message from a friend that they wanted us to come up and hang in their hood. We left and headed north collecting more friends! Dinner spot was The Vineyard and Florence. This place is off the charts beautiful inside and out. I settled in for drinking as I don't do dinner starting with a bottle of the rosé. GF and I's first bottle shared with the fancy tableside holder. Don't really do much wine but I do enjoy sparkling on occasion. Meanwhile, the rest of the table is dining on well presented dishes. GF ended up with a pizza as I created a makeshift Irish Coffee. House espresso (Lavazza) with Jameson and whipped cream from the dessert menu. #redneckMacGyver

We signed up for these adventures to make the weekend even more fun: 1. Feed baby kangaroo(Bodhi). This was about a 30 minute session where we got to feed him a bottle and kibble. It really was an amazing experience. 2. Bucket of food and self guided feeding of animals. We walked the property and hid to feed so many animals. All of the animals were friendly toward people. They were all very good motivated. We encountered a giraffe, donkeys, zebras, horses, cows, pigs, dwarf steers, camels, emu, deer, buffalo and more. The animals were often trying to bully their way to the front of the line. The cow Oreo who has not skipped a meal was always front of the line. 3. Afternoon safari ride in ATV. This was a fun ride around the property. Did not see any new animals but had a great time. The cows out at pasture were thrilled to be fed. 4. Giraffe encounter and meal. This was a little expensive but I would spend it again. The giraffes were super friendly and personable. We wanted to take them home because they were so much fun. The guide, experience and never felt rushed made this worth it. Our guide was top notch. I think her name was Jackie but could be wrong.

This caused my booking to be cancelled and I had to rebook and reverify. VERY inconvenient but everything got worked out. When you pay $900+ per night you don't want to be inconvenienced while trying to book. The Reserve is a nice community, but like all managed "premier planned" suburban areas they are very Nazi-ish with rules and enforcement. Again, when you're paying over $900 per night it's very off-putting and insulting to constantly be reminded of the rules. They treat you like you're a college kid trying to sneak and throw a frat party while you're parents are away for the weekend. Our rental even had cameras on the house that were actively being monitored (details below). VALUE: I don't normally complain about price so I won't do it here. Let's just say that this place is expensive. I voluntarily paid the money but it's a high price. HOUSE: Nice place, very clean. Premium decor - Texas modern rustic. Complimentary prosecco in the fridge upon arrival was a nice touch. Bring your own food/drinks/condiments (salt, pepper, etc.)/ice. All utensils for just about any kind of cooking and everything needed to have nice dinner parties were there. We had an issue with POOL: I did a cabana rental for 2 days at $50 per day. Rentals include a complimentary pitcher of beer or margarita per day. Pool was nice and in good shape. Lazy river, kids pool and infinity pool as well as swim up bar and snack bar are all part of the pool. You aren't allowed to bring any alcoholic beverages, food, or coolers into the pool area. They did allow us to bring an individual cup or water bottle. They will search your bags for food/alchohol/etc. if you bring large bags. LOCATION: Be prepared to drive 40 minutes to anywhere. There's enough restaurants, entertainment, etc. 45 minutes away. All-in-all this was a good place to stay. The main reason this is not a 5-Star review is because I was contacted by TurnKey with a threatening call because the management/owner were watching us on the Arlo/Netgear camera (Nazi-ish) on the back patio (there's a camera on the front porch and back patio) and thought that one of my guests was on the back patio smoking. None of us are smokers and it was insulting for them to accuse us of smoking (I'll say it again for emphasis... when you're paying over $900 per night).

The marina is treated somehow as well so that the cobwebs and spiders don't take over your boat and slip area, which is super nice and convenient. There is also room for outdoor kitchens and patio furniture at the front of each slip. People have grills and stuff out there too. I gathered that it is a thing to just hang out at your slip area and cook out with your friends and family and you may or may not even take the boat out. After we took the boat out and came back in we road the golf cart up to the lazy river. This is where it really started to feel like a resort for me. They have a decent sized lazy river that is so much fun! There is a swim up bar on one side and the bar opens to the deck area on the other side. There are plenty of tables to sit at and chase lounge chairs in the sun and shaded for total comfort and relaxing. I had a few perfectly made margaritas from the bar and had a wonderful time hanging out with my family and floating the lazy river! The Reserve property is actually pretty huge! They also have cabins you can rent out, tennis courts and a park area. There is lots of places to hike around as well. This would be the perfect family get away spot and it is not too far from other cool outdoor things like Krause Springs, Hamilton Pool Park and of course Lake Travis!

I'm not sure if I noticed their amenities last time or if they added on facilities in the last decade, but a few things to know: o There is a giant, we're talking massive swimming pool that's 3"5 deep all the way around. As a shawty, I appreciate that. There's plenty of seating, pergolas for much-needed shade. No restrooms at the pool. o Volleyball court o A main lodge area/event space, perfect for family reunions and such. o There's a "motel" also onsite. o It's dog-friendly, with a max of two dogs per cabin and a $25 deposit per pet per night. o Amazing sunsets, direct lake access for swimming or boating, grilling areas, and "The Point" which is a great spot for a nightcap and handing with friends/family. As for the cabins, once again our group reserved five of their six cabins that each come equipped with two decks overlooking Canyon Lake, a hot tub, multiple bedrooms, living spaces, fireplaces, full kitchens.... Note that some cabins may have a studio-style room with no wall. Our AC was kickin' and there was plenty of hot and cold water. Only gripe is the living room seating in our cabin, Cabin F. The chairs stunk like BO. My guess is that guest sit on them with wet river clothes... hope they steam them.
