Great store with helpful staff. Every time I go in there, they are willing to help me at the drop of a hat. The store is quite large and has their selections easily organized and easy to find. I usually go in every couple of months to stock up on my vitamins and everyone is so friendly. They also look at what you need (vegetarian, etc) pills and try to follow your budget as much as possible. It's a great location with great staff. read more

I ran out of a supplement I take and it happened to be a buy one and get the 2nd one 50% off sale. To my disappointment, not only was my local store out of stock but it was out of stock online. Dawid, the store manager, looked on the system and found that another store had 2 bottles left. Since he lives in the area of the other store, he offered to buy the 2 bottles and bring them back to the AH store the next day so I could take advantage of the sale. I placed a pick up order online, I received a call that my order was ready except one of the products was out of stock as I still got charged for it, so I was able to receive an alternate product instead once I get to store. I thanked the staff member that called me for letting me know and told him I'd have to get my order the next day, the staff member also told me that he'd let his Assistant Manager Sam know of the situation. I went there this morning to get my order and the Asst. Mgr Sam was very helpful and kind with helping pick out an alternate product given what I initially ordered was out of stock, he let me know a refund for that item should be in process, and also gave me a couple of free samples of hydration drinks and preworkout - thank you Vitamin Shoppe for the good customer service! read more

This was one of my first times shopping here so my expectations were pretty neutral. I was greeted by 2 displays of samples with precise details of the product and my first thought was, how cool!!! As I walked around looking at the products, I saw signs for mix/match BOGO-50%, again good to be here! However, that feeling quickly disappeared when I had to interact with an employee who wanted to be somewhere else - anywhere else. His answers were ridiculous. When asked what about the difference between two products, the number of ingredients, nothing to do with why. Then, the BOGO was within the same brand, so there went the deal, even though, I purchased 2 products that were identified in the sale. When I asked about a certain supplement, he pointed and replied "over there". So, unless you know exactly what you want and why, this isn't the place for you. read more

I was pleasantly surprised on my visit here. I expected it to be like a trip to a rival chain, where I had encountered little selection and employees pushing the store brand like a bunch of drug dealers. It was everything but them offering me the first pill for free. I thought I was going to walk into Vitamin Shoppe and not see what I wanted, then have the staff talk up what they wanted me to buy. WRONG! I found 3 of the 4 items I wanted here, for better prices than I was expecting, and with only positive support from the staff. Everything was easy to find. They had several brands of flax supplement in three different styles, and their women's health/mothering section is impressive. The only thing I could not get? Refrigerated probiotics. Their cold case is full of muscle milk and whatnot, but that's not uncommon as the refrigerated probiotics are hard to find anywhere. I will be back for more when I run out of flax oil, when I start needing mother's milk tea, and probably for something else I can't even imagine needing right now. read more

I forgot how much I like this place. I hadn't been here in a while, but I was in the burbs at a doctor's appointment and he recommended Vitamin D, so I had to go get me a stash. It is always a nice in here. Never crowded, friendly staff and so organized. I just walked in and said, " I need x x x ...." and they rushed to help me pick out what I was looking for. I shop at Arlington Hts location for at least 10 years and always was happy, until I met Courtney, he is an assistant manager of the store who thinks he is allowed to make a fun of customer's questions, be rude and interrupt every time you try to explain something. I would like to take this opportunity to recognize Cortney at The Vitamin Shoppe in Arlington Heights. He is, by far, an outstanding store associate who went above and beyond for me. I was recently in the store to buy some vitamins for my husband, but unfortunately, they were out of them. I asked Cortney if he could check the system to see if there were any available in back, which he did, but they were out. He offered to drive to The Vitamin Shoppe in Schaumburg during the week and pick up what I needed! I told him it wasn't necessary, but he insisted. Within two days, I got a call from Cortney asking me to come to the Arlington Heights location to pick them up. I can't think of many store associates who would do such a kind gesture, and I am grateful for his willingness to help. Kim, the store manager, is also a wonderful person who is genuinely interested in helping her customers and making sure they are happy. I just saw this store yesterday. First, I want to thank Mike. I see Mike always show compassion and kindness to his clients no matter how frustrating the day may be or that they may be. He goes over board to help others. I went through something and bought a lot of stuff there, Mike was more than helpful. He is honest and will always tell you the truth. Second, I want to thank Kim. Kim is the store manager. I am known for having an unmatched understanding of health, supplements, etc. I love to ask questions but rarely do I find people that research and love healthcare products as much as I do.
