To be honest, it's been a while since I've stepped into The Vitamin Shoppe. Well it was my first time at this spot and wow...the service was just amazing. Maybe I lucked out that day but if they do this on the daily then *claps* bravo The Vitamin Shoppe. You have trained your employees well. L O C A T I O N The Vitamin Shoppe is located in a smaller plaza in a larger plaza in the Dublin area about a bridge away from the San Francisco Outlets. There are parking spots but they're limited. Most of them are taken by patrons of the other restaurants nearby. Also be careful as I almost got backed into while slowly driving through the plaza. There are more spots that are open that are closer and around the corner from The Vitamin Shoppe. I N S I D E Fairly sized and very clean well lit spot. Everything in its spot. The cashier and employees are smack dab in the front right when you enter S E R V I C E When I entered, I was kindly greeted by the two workers that day with a wide smile. Fun music was playing. They asked if I needed any assistance or help finding anything. I didn't and really just wanted to explore but at the same time I wanted to just find the item I was looking for myself and I was in no rush. When more folks came in, same service, same happy greeting. While one was helping one customer, the other worker, just came around and asked again just in case I needed any help which was kind of them to do so. Again not being pushy just checking up. I did find what I needed. I did notice that their website stock info matched exactly to what I found in the store which I can't say is the same with other shops so a major plus. I checked out easily and they asked if I had an account with them. I did and provided my phone. From beginning to end, I felt like the service was just superb. O V E R A L L Although I could find this item on Amazon but I wanted it immediately and glad I was able to find it relatively nearby. I wouldn't have had the same experience or wouldn't have had a chance to visit this spot and experience the customer service here which was great. Sometimes it's nice to shop in person you know? Highly recommend stopping by and getting your supplements and other items here and support this spot out. Although yes they're a chain, there's not many of them and they're great at what they do. The team always does their best to greet customers when they enter, ask what brings them in store, and let you know what daily deals you may want to take advantage of. I'd like to highlight one instance in particular where Kate went above and beyond in assisting me. When stopping by the shop to pick up one of my usual drinks, something fell out of my pocket when I took out my card to pay. Seriously, if you could see my ''Protein Cupboard'' you would think I have a real problem, I don't though (promise) just being the Fitness enthusiast I am I'm always looking out for and trying new Protein products and Pre Workout supplements. This Vitamin Shoppe although about 20 miles drive from my home is what I call my ''Local'' and come here whenever I am in the shopping plaza. The store is a fair size with a great selection, my favorite being the Quest and Muscle Pharm products, they were one of the first store's to stock the Quest Protein Chips and even stock Buff Bake Nut Butters! The last time I walked into a GNC I had this pushy sales lady trying to up sell me for some male sexual health pills for better libido or something. I think she was just trying to make a pass at me or make commission... I'm not sure. Did I look like I didn't have enough testosterone? Nope, don't think so... I'm well built and have far from what people would consider a girlish figure. So this was my first time to the Vitamin Shoppe... No upselling or awkward moments like at GNC. Similar to GNC only this store seems larger and brighter than the average GNC. Was in the market for some specialty teas that they didn't have at Whole Foods. Sure enough they had them. My 1 star is based on my recent experience with Vitamin Shoppe - I've bought an entire box of the double chocolate chip buff bake protein sandwiches just a day ago. The box comes in individually rapped trays of four cookies each. I opened the first tray of cookies and to much of my dismay I saw BUGS crawling over the cookies. That's so disgusting. I was so excited to see that they opened a Vitamin Shoppe until I received poor customer service. I went in to obtain a refund and the guy working the register, name started with an 'A' ...Amandeek...something to that effect-did not know what he was doing. Not only did he have me waiting forever, but when it was my turn in line, he kept looking at the receipt-analyzing it like it was in a foreign language or something. He told me to hold on while he called someone. While he was on the phone, he walked away from the register, fronting and facing products around the store because he didn't want me to hear that he didn't know what the hell he was doing. He walked back up to the register and said, "The manager is on his way," then proceeded to help the next guy. So I asked, "how long is it going to take for the manager to get here? and what do you mean he's on his way?" he stated, "He's here, hes just in the back!" Five minutes later, a guy emerges from the back. His name was Kash. He looked at my receipt and was analyzing it like the previous guy. It took him forever to figure out how to process my refund. Everybody's name tag had the title "Manager" under their name, but nobody knew what the hell they were doing. What should have taken less than two minutes actually took twenty minutes.
