I needed to go to the Vitamin Shoppe in Lakewood! Amador, whose name I just figured out was Amador, and who has pulled a bunch of my orders before, and now I will always remember his name from now on, suggested I check my e-mail just to be sure. Sure enough, I needed to be at the Lakewood store, and not this one. No worries, Amador tells me. So I used to have to go to GNC to get my Alani Nu energy drinks, but just starting about 1-2 weeks ago, Vitamin Shoppe started carrying them (yay!!!). I never knew how terrible the customer service was at GNC until I started coming here for my drinks LOL. It's literally night and day! The two times I've been here the workers have been so helpful and friendly. Also, this particular store was super spacious and very clean! I was able to check what was in stock online, and then I called in-store and the worker was happy to reserve it for me so that I could come pick it up later in they day. I also ended up doing an order online/pick up in store order, and my products came in literally 3 days! AMAZING :D I really like this Vitamin Shoppe and I'm so ecstatic that they started carrying Alani Nu now, so hopefully I'll never have to step foot in another GNC ever again, lol! read more

Clean store, easy parking, lots of different products, easy to do returns. Customer service is lacking. Called multiple times and the people on the phone want to just push you to come into the store so they can make a sale but they are not knowledgable on the phone when you ask them questions on what you're looking for or when you ask details about any products. This has happened a handful of times. In the store you may get a couple people that know the product well but the main focus overall is to push sales without putting in the work of listening to the customer's needs and helping them. I called in more than once to get info on different products that are super basic and they were all confused and kept trying to get off the phone. I didn't bother going in again after that. This was my first visit to this or any such store. I was treated very well. The salesman was a wealth of useful information. I will be returning every three to four weeks for more of their products. They happen to be located one block away from Petsmart. Combining trips is a plus. Their "Isoflex" whey protein isolate is a fantastic product. I buy a specific pre workout called bullnox, it's a fantastic product and I would never trade it for any other. My only positive is the fact they sell it, you can find it at ANY online dealer ever walmart.com for about $25 and $5 shipping. At good Ole vitamin shoppe it's $45..... now normally I would just order online but I ran out and forgot to and am on the hunt. How it is so much more expensive here I don't know. But I do know that's a huge mark up. I have brought it up to the sales associates that they are much more expensive on that product and many others and asked if they would price match, because I thought business was earned not expected. I was told by the sales associate that $45 was their sale price? I'm not top sure how that answers if they will price match but I sure did leave pretty fast! I would have been fine with even paying $10 but $20, no no.I've also herd this specific location is more expensive so I will try another's prices. read more

Both experiences were fantastic, waiting time for register face time was very mimimal and the staff really knew their stuff. I purchased vitamins on behalf of a friend and apparently they did not like it and hence my second visit. Note: The bottle was unopened. They did not hassle me or ask a million questions regarding the return. They were very understanding, reasonable and quite helpful. The store is large and the chances of you standing next to another customer in the same section is very minimal. They have a variety of vitamins and supplements to fit your needs. What a pleasant surprise. I went into the Vitamin Shoppe looking for a few recommendations from my doctor. And I was lucky to get assistance from a young man who works there. It wasn't that pushy kind of assistance or where I had to ask. He have great customer service skills and new his stuff! I didn't catch his name, but I did not from the receipt it says Associate 050257. So shot out to him and the three vitamins and supplements I purchased are working out great. :-) Also I was surprised to see that the prices were cheaper than Costco or online. They have high quality vitamins & supplements. I signed up for the free Healthy Awards Club membership which earns points towards $ back, coupons & discounts. They also recently began price matching with Amazon, you just need to tell them to price match it as it's not something they advertise.
