There are so many choices when it comes to selecting vitamins. What I like about this store is the helpful staff. One of my first times here I was assisted by a great guy! I was looking for an herbal formula to take as I have an aversion to flu shots. Since I work in the medical field, it is a request that everyone obtains a flu shot or has to wear a mask during flu season when near patients. This person turned me on to a great choice and told me he has yet to suffer flu symptoms by taking this each day. He advised me to take two during the flu season then cut back to one per day. I took his advice and have had great luck with his recommendation. My last visit was to load back up on vitamin B12, C, D and K. The person that helped me this time was also super helpful and considerate. He saw that I was on crutches from a broken foot and did all my shopping for me. He just asked me to wait at the register. I decided to run some errands before the CMYE at Biaggio's (see review) and stopped in here to get some vitamins that my husband wanted. I was kind of in a hurry because I needed to run some more errands before the CMYE and didn't want to be late. The staff immediately greeted me at the door. No overpowering sales pitch like GNC does sometimes, just a nice, "hey, how you doing?" I asked for the vitamins and specific brand I needed. She knew exactly what I was talking about and pointed them out quickly. The store is nicely organized and every section is appropriately labeled. It's not overdone with advertisements. Plus, they have a reward programs that gives you a $5 certificate if you spend $100 in a year. Not a terrific bonus but it is something. I have to knock off a star though because their online store is way cheaper than their physical location. The pills I bought cost $40 here but I could get them from their online site for $24.99. What gives? If I didn't need them now, I would have walked out and ordered online. Still, nice store, nice staff. read more

This store has been remodeled and updated since my previous review four years ago. They now carry refrigerated and frozen healthy items. And new to me also is the back portion with dry goods, seasonings, and 6 Pack bags and accessories. What brought me here on my recent visit was an online order. This is where they lose a star from my previous review. I waited in line but when I reached the register and the reason I was only there was for pick up all of a sudden I had to wait until the cashier had finished with about three other customers to assist me. The cashier was friendly but I do think this should have been handled differently. Also, with the addition of coffee shop drive through parking it's a hassle park in front the store. read more

Being on a new diet means eating a lot healthier or trying to anyways. We came to the Vitamin Shoppe to get more protein powder for my fiancé who most often always purchases his protein here. I wanted to find soy protein now that I'm this semi healthy eater since I didn't want the lactose to effect my stomach. My fiancé asked where the soy protein was and the associate lead us directly to it. He was explaining the different types of soy protein with spirulina (sweetener), soys with GMO (GMO=genetically modified organism), etc. All of that made me realize how much junk/additives they add to everything and anything. In the end, I decided that I wanted to do more research before I made a purchase. The associate ended up giving me a couple of packets of the soy protein with no spirulina or GMO to try. I thought that was pretty awesome! Also, you can price match with their online store so if you see the price cheaper online then you can ask them for the cheaper price. You also have 30 days to return the protein powder if you don't like it for some reason. Customer service was excellent AND they have a rewards program! read more

As a very frequent customer including my family who enjoy this store today I came in with my mother and we were tested very poorly by a clerk (Asian younger girl who refused to give me her name) I will not be back and negative experience travels faster than positive. I'm in here at least once a month. They carry a good supply of homeopathy and naturapathic items that are hard to find elsewhere. When kids get sick or just to keep them healthy, I always pick up some Chestal, Hyland's Cold and Cough, Gummy Bear Echinacea, Arnica, Acai powder, Core Omega packets, Gummy Bear Whole Food vitamins & their Mult-vitamins. They carry Solaray which is a pretty good brand. They have mostly everything I need and the support staff is super smart, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. read more

If I'm not ordering my protein and supplements from VitaCost, I'm getting it from Vitamin Shoppe. Their prices are low, and they price match. The selections are good, and the workers there know where everything is at and are more than willing to help you if you need to find something. They also have their own brands which is comparable to some name brands out there. As long as you do your homework with knowing the ingredients and potency you're looking for- you can always opt for their brands. The only Vitamin Shoppe branded item I've gotten is their Psyillium Husks. Good to know they have more options, but I wish they'd carry more Stevia choices. As far as a supplement shops go, I'll choose them over GNC. read more

I'm a fan of the Vitamin Shoppe just because they're so well-stocked with almost any type of nutritional supplement you could want. They carry a lot of items and brands that you can't find at your local pharmacy or smaller health markets. For certain things, like a daily multi-vitamin & mineral supplement, you're better off getting it for cheaper at Walmart, but if you want a higher quality fish oil supplement, a specific type of enzyme supplement, a performance enhancer, or protein powder, you'll find a lot more choices at the Vitamin Shoppe than anywhere else. But expect to pay more. I usually get my protein powder of choice special-ordered at a smaller nutrition shop and pay $6 less than I would pay at the Vitamin Shoppe, but when I need it right away, I don't mind paying for the convenience. read more

It is a very clean, well-organized location, and the manager on duty was quite helpful in making sure I got what I needed without being pushy or invasive. I found the prices to be pretty low- in some cases lower than what you'd find at Wal-Mart, even. I signed up for their "rewards" program, which was free, so we'll see what kind of discounts/deals that provides. read more

This is a great shop I've been here a couple times because I was in the area shopping. I normally go to the one on Fort Apache which is closer to my house. This one is also great I love the service here to Great set up the beautiful store and it's very clean. It always has everything I need as well as my empty capsules which is like the only place that you can buy it. I just purchased an item one day ago from this location. I accidentally bought the wrong item so I went back to return it with the receipt and everything intact. RITA, the clerk was so rude and unprofessional and gave me such a hard time for returning especially when I DIDN'T EVEN USE THE PRODUCT! They don't carry all items, even ones you can find on the VS website, which was a big disappointment so I had to knock 2 stars just for that, especially since they were saying they never even heard of what I was asking for, although it's sold on the site and in many other vitamin shoppes I've been to. I came in today twice, once before my hike and the second time after my workout at the gym. Victor made two recommendations today, One was an energy drink that worked out very well and the other was a protein shake that I enjoyed very much. Good sized store and the store even has their own parking spots. The only bad part was one of the employees sounded sick but I had my Wellness Formula with me. I have been debating since yesterday how to approach this. I love the vitamin shoppe and they carry all my products. The W Charleston store went through a series of employees over the past year and unfortunately has had a streak of bad luck. Yesterday I went into the store to make a small purchase, the employee (key holder) made my visit very uncomfortable. Nutrition does not discriminate and I am aware of this. However, its very difficult for a customer to be sold on a product when the person pushing it clearly has no regard for his own health and nutrition. But that is not what offended me. What offended me was that this individual had to bend over and kneel down in front of me and due to his size and non fitting clothes he fully exposed one of half of his ass and plumbers crack, his bunched up briefs and gave me pretty much a free show of his butt along with his belly as his too small of a shirt rose over the bulge. This was beyond unacceptable. If the employee has no desire to represent what he is selling that is his choice for sure but as the face of the company can you all at least enforce a dress code to make him presentable. Im obsessed with the vitamin shoppe. I frequent the las vegas location on Charleston Blvd., located in Boca Park and buy my protein powder, herbal supplements and whatever else catches my eye. This past evening, I was in the drive thru @ Starbucks next door and saw the lights on and cars out front. I assumed it was open still, googled the number on my phone and called to check before I pulled around and got out of my car. As I watched from my car, and asked the employee (drive thru is directly next door) the man (craig or greg) answered the phone, told me they close at nine (it was 9:31pm) and hung up, immediately he smirked and shook his head left to right as if annoyed, to his coworker. That's fu**ing rude! its pretty easy to see you, when its dark outside and the stores lit up buddy! I asked a vitamin shoppe related question, it doesn't hurt to be courteous, I'm a regular at this location, and technically he is still on the clock, closing out, so why be so rude, sorry hes getting paid to do his job, and when hes doing it, hes treating customers like they are inconveniencing him. address this please. if it werent for the a**hole, I'd give the store 4stars. read more

I went to return some pre-workout because I bought the wrong one, as soon as I go in ( im guessing the tall skinny white guy wearing a blue dress shirt is the manager ) I greet the manager and he said "wassap". I asked him if I could return this pre-workout I bought 2 hours before because I mistakenly bought the wrong one and he looks at me like I am a bum , looks at the bottle examining it and just kept looking at me like I drugged it or something. He then asks if I opened it and used it after examining the bottle for a minute and tried to open it to see if the seal broke. Honestly at that point I felt like I stole something from the store when I didn't. If I would have taken some and replaced it with some bogus stuff , why would I buy that product with my credit card?
