We regularly order Vitamin Shoppe supplements. Same price as on Amazon (which delivers the next day, when VitaminShoppe takes a good few days to arrive). As I was unable to log on to our account, I stopped at the store. The person who processed the order (120 softgels for $99) neglected to deduct the 15%. There was a big sign right there on the counter. When I pointed it out, he said, "you did not ask for it." Does he really think the customer is stupid or that the customer does not care? Is money not important for all of us? Well, for some of us it is; and thus the reason I shlepped to the store for a lower price. When it came to giving a bag, he said, "that will cost you 50 cents." His colleague offered the customer standing next to me the exact same bag at no charge. He essentially forced him to take it. Not a good feeling. Treat one customer one way, another customer another way. Not really nice. And definitely a reminder that nowadays, ordering online is easier, everything is spelled out and one does not have to endure such experiences (and pay more for the pleasure). My neighborhood Vitamin Shoppe. No problems here, they have the same products as every other locations. I get my weekend dollar energy drinks here all the time, unless it's Prime. I don't know how they stay in business since multiple VS managers have even commented how bad the product is to me. Whatever. Always something good on sale here if not for me then a client/future client. Know what you're looking for since sales associates don't know everything. Free parking in back is always available and proximity to the Farmers Market/Grove is nice. read more

I wouldn't waste your time trying to buy anything here. There has only been one time that I was able to find what I wanted/needed here. They almost NEVER have anything available for shipping or in-store pick up. I would advise that you just get things on Amazon or eBay. I reached out to customer service once and was pretty much told "too bad". Granted it was in their kind, canned language that one uses to brush off someone. Yesterday I wanted to place an order for a number of supplements I but I wanted ones that had little or preferably NO fillers, were easy to digest, and so on and so on... My plan was to order online and pick up at the VS at 101 N Fairfax. There were a lot of things I wanted bud did not know much about any of the brands. I was lucky enough to get Ryan on the phone, and WOW, does he know his stuff. I was amazed how, after finding out what was important to me, Ryan told me exactly what brand to buy for each item and why without walking through the store looking at different options. I even told him about an injury I recently had and he recommended Bromalin and told me exactly what it would do to help me. Don't waste your time in vitamin stores that take you over to a section and just tell you what is popular. Go see Ryan! Vitamin Shoppe, whatever you are paying him he deserves double. Several mixed or bad reviews reviews about customer service... but I lucked out as I got Julio who was the manager on duty when I came in the store. First off, yay for decent size parking lot behind the store, a huge plus especially on Fairfax! Their Spark auto delivery is cool to sign up for free although the points expire every 3 months - I've had points expire, some 10 points short of the award certificate. Oh well. Spacious store and had what I needed in stock. Julio gave me some good tips and I would definitely be back to this location when I'm in the area. read more

It's been my impression for years despite the good brands and affordable prices that you hire staff for the most part that don't know their head from a hole in the ground. In the past that just meant that folks were incompetent at giving information and overly aggressive sales people. In this case you've got three young morons that have no business selling supplements. I was hovered over like I was a thief. And worst of all one of these idiots had to keep clapping suddenly loudly and whooping like they were in a fucking football locker room. I ordered a large amount of items on Black Friday. My PayPal was charged but I never received a confirmation email. Today, 3 days later I called The Vitamin Shoppe customer service to check and see the status of my order. They have no record of my order. They were courteous and said I could shop again and they would honor the Black Friday prices. Fair enough in theory. I went online and the prices are very different from Black Friday. There's just no realistic way to figure out what I purchased and for how much, besides the total I already have. I do not have the time to spend messing with this. Very disappointing. I stopped by this Vitamin Shoppe location to waste time because there was too much traffic on the freeway. I have never been to this store before. Like the other Vitamin Shoppe locations that I have been to, this store is awesome. The employees are very helpful and friendly. I like the fact that they have a private parking lot for their customers behind the building (it is hard to find parking in the surrounding area). They did not have in stock the items that I was seeking, but they were willing to order them for me. A little fustrated with Vitamin Shoppe online. Obviously BLACK FRIDAY is the day of the year to shop. I shopped online, had $280 in my cart to check out. I work in retail so I get the stress and implications, but I tried to check out on my andriod phone, my desk top, laptop, my ipad, my husband iphone... and they all did the same thing. They would not let me complete checkout. Due I worked retail my self in a cell phone store 7:30am-9:30pm and no lunch--- I could not call. I called late friday night. No answer. I put this all in my buggie thursday late eve to check out. I figured so many people were shopping maybe the site crashed. So I try saturday... of course the same and now the promo has changed and its $100 more. I call today and finally I get someone. They say they cannot honor black friday! Shame on you Vitamin Shoppe! I hadn't been here in years, and when I went the other day it worked out fine. Plenty of help on the floor. Couldn't find exactly what I wanted but we eventually got something that appears close enough. Parking just north on Fairfax seems the better option, as it's a crowded area. Their points system (loyalty program) expires at the end of each calendar year. I swear I've never gotten any benefit from it, but fingers crossed. To start with no one greeted me when I went in. Then I walked around for at least 20 minutes trying to find what I was looking for and not one person even offered to help me. The staff (particularly David) are very knowledgeable about the products the store sells and will take their time with you to ensure that you are a satisfied customer.
