Wow, I read that a driver jumped the curb and crashed into the landscaped retaining wall in front of this superfood shop. The good news was that no one got hurt and that he didn't hit the storefront. Jamie W and I were just here over PRIDE weekend, so I know how popular this place can get. It's WeHo after all, and I just presume smoothies and açaí bowls are part of the required diet around here. Well, it wasn't nutritional value that drove us (...you should pardon the expression) but more likely a guilty conscience from our weekend debauchery. The menu was as expected. Jamie went for the $15.95 Açaí Superberry Bowl, an immaculately organized container filled with açai, blueberry, banana, cinnamon, sea salt and almond milk topped with honey, granola, fresh berries, coconut flakes (Photo 9). As expected, it was delicious and quite filling. My stomach wasn't feeling as ambitious, so I ordered the $13.95 Chocolate Supreme Smoothie, a refreshing and suitably thick blend of banana, almond butter, cacao, oat milk, maca, and their own plant protein (Photo 10). That was enough healthfulness for me. I believe there's a giant margarita at Fiesta Cantina waiting for me. I've lived near Earthbar for years, but only started going in the past year. Where have I been?! The smoothies are utterly delectable and the people working there are always super kind and helpful. They also have a great rewards program through their app which basically lets you save on smoothies every single time you order! I walked here yesterday morning for an Acai bowl, really looking forward to it. The environment is clean and reminded me of a Pharmaca, but holy crap the music was LOUD. No one said hello to me when I walked in despite there being no other customers. The man behind the desk watched me read the menu and served someone else who knew what they wanted. No problem. I said hello, how are you when I stepped up but he didn't respond, waiting to take my order. (No one behind me but I got the message this guy doesn't do small talk.) So, I ordered an Acai bowl and I'm pretty sure I paid $2.50 extra for peanut butter on the top. I asked if I could have the bowl to go to which he responded with an air of annoyance that all the plastic bowls have lids. "Do you have bags?" I asked. "I'm walking," I explained. "Yes we have bags but you have to ask us for them when your order is done because when we just give them people change their mind and stay." Ummmm ok there is no line, I already know I'm not staying cause this bad music is too loud and I'm not into night club decibel music at 9 am but cool cool cool. Acai bowl is ready in a few minutes and the lovely young woman asks if I want a bag. Yes please, I'm walking. Bye. I walk all the way home and open the bowl to realize I've been duped. I have paid $17.00 plus a small tip ( he was after all, rude) for a bowl of Acai. There is one blueberry, a few slices of banana, no shredded coconut to speak of, about a tablespoon of granola (I asked for half) and the worst offense of all- the most meager drizzle of peanut butter they should have just not bothered. I'm not even sure what else this was supposed to have in it because all I did was eat and taste Acai. And did I really pay extra for a teaspoon of peanut butter? I absolutely love this place. After my hike, I needed something cold, refreshing, and healthy. I decided to try the "Epic Smoothie"--perfect for chocolate lovers. It contains 20g of protein, banana, almond butter, vanilla, sea salt, almond milk, and plant-based protein. It was amazing, but I was torn between the Epic and the Flax Master Smoothie, their most popular choice. Next time, I'll try that one out. The customer service was excellent, and the inside was clean and neat. Parking can be tough if it's busy, but it's not a deal-breaker. I will definitely be back soon after a good workout. read more

Absolutely awful experience at Earthbar. I ordered a smoothie that came out watery with big chunks of ice, and when I politely asked for it to be remade, the employee didn't even acknowledge me. Instead, she dumped the same smoothie I had already sipped from back into the blender and just threw in more banana--completely unsanitary and disgusting. On top of that, her attitude was rude and dismissive the entire time. For the prices they charge, I expected basic courtesy and hygiene, but this was the opposite. Even if it was $1, have a little self respect and customer service. We won't be returning and wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. Mas o menos. Not welcoming vibes from people here. I dunno. Maybe cuz I have my combat boots on or cuz it's a small store. I also have scrubs on though. Nurses are usually nice right? Idk. Anyway. It's a boutique health supp store that has smoothies between ten and fifteen bucks. Pricier than Jamba Juice or even Mother's Market. Their products also a little more expensive. I will support independent business and all so that's chill. I noticed lots of products are local but when I asked the manager on site about that she didn't seem to know much. I encourage local businesses and companies and anywhere that sells local products, which they do, but come on y'all gotta hype those products. I'm trying to come back to this place but it's a hard sell if it leans plant based so trying to see the positives here. They have some vegan protein donut things but other stuff is just nuts. Deli chicken fingers for thirteen bucks for one serving? That's too far. So it goes here, you can only pull this stuff in WeHo. Not opposed to this spot but I wouldn't drive out of my way here. But when I picked it up they served it to me in a container HALF THE SIZE of the ones they used before. Unacceptable and a total rip off. We happened to be at the crossroads thrift store near by and my friend was hungry so we went in to order something. Not necessarily a grocery store since it was mostly supplements, processed "healthy" food, drinks and a few grab and go items. We tried the green smoothie bowl but it's not really advertised in their menu in store. My friend saw it online and the muscle up smoothie. The greens bowl is just a smoothie bowl, nothing too special and the granola tasted like seven Sundays maple cereal weirdly specifically. The muscle up smoothie was startchy and I liked it but my friend thought it was just ok. It's kind of like a startchy horchata but the exact flavor profile doesn't match either. The electrolyte refreshner had a good initial flavor of blueberry but if you hate artificial sweetner then that is the aftertaste. Overall this place is ok. read more

Instead of being picky and difficult I asked the guy on the register if they had anything with blueberry and almond butter. He suggested flax master and I quickly read over the ingredients and just went with it. I'm not sure what my boyfriend ordered, something simple with strawberries and bananas or something I'd never in my life order. We browsed the store for a bit and our drinks were up. Service seemed great until this moment, when some random worker or manager copped a bit of an attitude when I asked if mine was the blueberry drink. He had some weird tone and answer about it not being blueberry and it being flax, ummmm ok dude it contains blueberries for crying out loud. Whatevs! Could have done without his negative attitude. My drink was very cinnamon forward and I didn't think I'd like it, but on our drive to Trader Joes it grew on me and before I knew it I was half finished with it. I'd order this again, and maybe ask for light cinnamon. I guess I'd recommend this spot, if you're into smoothies - just don't dare ask if your order is your order by any other name that what is printed and hung on their menu when it comes up unless you want to deal with some attitude. read more
