Good, clean store that is thoroughly stocked. Vitamin shoppe has really great clearance options that were easy to find. As well as their promos for 1$ drinks on certain weekend. The employees were nice and attentive if I needed anything or needed help finding something. The one drawback is the accessibility and the parking lot. The parking lot has one entrance/exit so it can be hard to get to the shop if you miss the turn in. read more

It's an ok store. Some of the cashiers/store personnel could work on their customer service skills. Bought 2 cases of first Phorm protein bars, that were unopened. When I opened one of the boxes it was missing the whole top row of bars . Brought it back to the same cashier that sold it to me within about 20 minutes to explain and he made an irrelevant comment of saying "I highly doubt it". I told him you can check the receipt or look at your cameras. He gave me 4 bars that were pretty close to expiring and then left me like he had something else to do. Aside from that older worker with the glasses everyone else has been pretty helpful and gave useful knowledge of products. read more

The people here are friendly and knowledgeable, and that's not just specific to Madison. I travel a lot and I can say that the service is always happy to help. There's no product pushing, no snake oil sales, and if you have a question, they're pretty good at answering it. I've routinely seen better products and better variety of new products at Vitamin Shoppe vs GNC. There's also usually better rotation and monitoring of expiration dates too (can't count how many times I've accidentally gotten stuff that's very close to expiration at GNC). Plus they're open much later than GNC too, which helps a lot. Join up for their free rewards program and enjoy monthly coupons and quarterly money-back. Amazing clean store with ample parking. It's one of the bigger ones I've been in and the employees are super helpful and friendly. The one girl knew her stuff and was super helpful when I was looking for something particular. Kind of annoying to get around the construction but that's most of Wisconsin this time of the year. read more

This place ripped me off. I bought almost $70 worth of vitamins. I chipped my debit card, the keypad showed the transaction complete, but the woman working the register, who was also the store manager, said it didn't go through. She asked me to chip again, same result. So she moved over to another terminal and started booting it up. While she did that, I checked my bank account on my phone app, which showed I'd been charged twice. She asked me to chip a third time, but I refused. She contacted some IT guy who told her it was a pending charge and would be removed in a couple days. A couple days later, it still was on my account. I called the store and they directed me to customer service, who processed the refund, allegedly. They informed me it would take 3-5 business days to return what took them 30 seconds to take. After 3-5 business days, the money hasn't been returned. I will be canceling my auto deliveries and taking my business elsewhere. After a Better Business Bureau complaint, a corporate customer service supervisor contacted me, two weeks after the double charge. He processed a refund of the double charge which was returned to my account 16 days after it was taken from me. He also sent me a free product. However, none of this effected a more customer-friendly change in the company. He informed me it was company policy that charging errors cannot be addressed by store managers. So proceed at your own risk. If you get a charging error, good luck recouping your money. And plan on all the effort to fix it coming from you. read more

This store is a bit difficult to get into but well worth the effort. Beautiful, clean and well organized store with very friendly staff. Being a gastric bypass patient and new to a healthy lifestyle is a bit daunting. I was referred here for my necessary proteins and found them to be very supportive and helpful. They knew what I needed and helped me with my selections. I will be back. This kind of personal service is a rarity today. read more
