There is NO way to respond to them inquiring on how they can contact customers. I had a good experience here looking for protein powder Duane and Ariana were both helpful. They had great deals and return policy is great! Wasn't greeted when I walked in. I walked around looking for Inositol and no one asked if I needed help when there were two people standing at the register. I'm pretty sure one was even the manager because of the way the employee was speaking to her. A bit peeved because a simple "hello" could've gone a long way. I did eventually find what I was looking for. When we left the cashier finally acknowledged me and told me to have a nice day. I shouldn't even YELP about this place because I'd rather keep it a secret. But this place is great. You know how items are cheaper online i.e. Amazon, eBay, etc. but then you don't want to order and have to wait for shipment? Whey Proteins. That's what I wanted and I got it here for much cheaper than what a place like GNC was selling it for. Like Bill said as well, the store was big and the staff was helpful plus it was pleasantly quiet. These are the qualities I would like in a store whenever I go shopping publicly. I switch off from here and GNC. I find The Vitamin Shoppe to be a tad cheaper than GNC on certain products. Make sure to check The Vitamin Shoppe website before coming in. A lot of times their prices on the web are cheaper than whats priced in the store. I'm not sure how knowledgeable the staff is because I know what I'm going to purchase before I come in. The people in this store are sooooooooooo helpful and knowlegable. My rewards points rack each year because I am such a regular at this store. Tip: If you watch Dr. Oz, and there is a item he recommends, you should go to the store fast and get it because they sell out of the item fast! This store is just that awesome. Gem! Gem! Total Gem! My word. This place is Amazing! I was so used to going to the whoefoods store on San Pablo but got a bit tired of the prices of items I needed outside of food stuffs. The staff is great and very educated wen it comes to health. They carry EVERYTHING here. Got my mangosteen an açai juice, my Raw Meal shakes, coconut oil and a few extra snacks... Love those Gogi berries. Was very tempted to buy up the store because everything looked so great and the prices are awesome. A large variety of high quality items, with a peaceful atmosphere to look at it all. My only personal negative is that I been sleepin on this place for too long and it took me till now to go. Update! Took the "out of date 10/2013, bottle of Inf-Zyme Forte back to the VS... Explained the situation.... they looked at the back of the bottle, went to get a newer bottle and they were surprised by the results. The returned bottle showed the "Mfg 2013" date, the newer bottle just had numbers and a date 4/15. Since the bottle is almost $50, I was expecting some sort of resistance from them. But nope! Unlike some of the other posters here, I did not encounter any knowledgeable staff; in fact, there was only one clerk to choose from, and he had three customers trying to check out. So in this respect, they were quite similar to GNC. Next, a yeast based $50.- 'Probiotic' inventory WAS NOT on their refrigerator shelf... this is in spite of them storing psudo-healthy soft drinks, and pints of oil in refrigeration. The product stated clearly on the label: best stored in refrigerator, never allow above 77F. (And this is Pinole, after weather of 90+ temperatures... but yes, it's a nicely air conditioned store... during customer hours). Their prices are less than GNC's, and if you CHECK THEIR WEBSITE FIRST, you will find they will be happy to match those prices, some of which are competitive even among the web outlets! read more

Today was my forth time going to the vitamin shop The staff is really nice up until today there was a lady today that was nice and helpful but a male staff came in told me I had to leave my backpack behind the counter because that was their policy He told me up or I can leave it in my car I am legally blind with a White cane so I took my purse out and gave it to him but then I thought if I had a purse he wouldn't tell me to put the back behind the counter so I was right behind him got my backpack and told them I was leaving without buying anything I thought that was discriminating because I walk and take the bus is the only reason I carry a backpack needless to say I'll never go back read more

I love this Vitamin Shoppe location. Folks here are super friendly, nice and know where everything is. This is my go to location to get my Quest Bar fix and protein stuff. I'm always looking for healthy recipes on pinterest and found cacao nibs and raw honey to make protein balls. I also like how the store is spaced out, nicely lit and very welcoming. Vitamin shoppe also has a great rewards program, always have specials and prices are low compared to other health stores. read more

It's the only vitamin shoppe in the area and for that I will give you 5 stars. I usually do my ordering of supplements and misc items online, but sometimes vitamin shoppe has specials and prices that would equate to that of online stores with shipping thrown into the equation. Vitamin Shoppe definitely gets my vote over GNC any day in every aspect. They carry everything GNC does (besides GNC brand), its cheaper, has more selection (so obviously bigger), and higher quality products in my opinion. Besides, if you are like me and impatient, like things here and now, fail to plan ahead and order things before you run out... then vitamin shoppe is perfect. Also, they usually have a clearance table where you can find some good usable stuff that is there because it might be expiring within a month or two. I would venture to say that most supplements are still usable even after the expected shelf life of the product. For 50%-75% off I am willing to give almost anything a second look. read more
