I fell in love with Ember + Fog candles during a pop up at one of the Embarcadero plazas during this past holiday season. While small batches typically cost more expensive than large corporation offerings, I prefer supporting local small batches for gifts and a little pick-me-up. I was so excited to open the box and find the most beautiful, stunning floral arrangement I have ever seen. The packaging used displays them in the most perfect manner. I wanted to eat them, however, they are not edible, even though they appear to be :p. I don't know how they do it, but how amazing is it that these exquisite pieces last for over a year?! Also included in the package were the instructions on how to take care of them: do not expose to direct sunlight or dust; no watering (thank God because I kill most living things); and do not place anything on top of the roses. I had to shop at Dollar Tree due to Alka 65 Alkaline Water being sold there. For $1.25 per bottle it is worth getting Alka 65 Alkaline Water there than anywhere else. The shopping cart at Dollar Tree has a pole which prevents people from taking the cat outside. What I dislike about this location are the birds flying around. I don't understand how there are plenty of birds flying around the parking lot and I ran, I ran so far away.
