I originally tried to post this in Spanish and it didn't appear, so I am using an app to translate it into English and I'm not sure if everything is perfectly accurate, but I hope it can be understood. I started shopping at this store in 2016, right when they first opened. I thought it was wonderful to have another healthy food option besides Trader Joe's. It quickly became my favorite store in the area. I used to go three or four times a week. Over the years, I've seen how the store has changed in many ways--some good and some not so much. Many employees have come and gone, with very different personalities. Some of them made the experience really pleasant, but others did not. For a while, there was a produce section manager who said things to me that made me feel very uncomfortable. On several occasions, he commented that I should take off my wedding ring and have some fun. That bothered me so much that I started going to the store only when absolutely necessary. Later, a friend told me that this employee no longer worked there, so I started going back more often. The store was just as lovely as I remembered: many new faces, the same great selection of fresh products, and an amazing variety of gluten-free items. The deli/meat areas is ridiculously slow and unorganized. I was told it was only gonna take 15 minutes for sliced deli meat and cheese. I ended up waiting like an idiot for 45 minutes and never got my deli order. I complain to the manager, but of didn't get much of a response, just a phony apology and that's it. Haven't been here for a while. Still a pretty good grocery store. The staff are pretty nice, if you can find someone to help you. Not too many checkers and they do have self checkout. They do have a lot of selections and when you shop it looks pretty busy in terms of how many selections they have( crammed in this store). Love their muffins, but they are out of the pistachio muffins. You still can get deals, you have to look out for them. They do have quality meat and produce. Also have a huge bulk section that looks appeasing to shop. They should have more checkers instead of customers have to use self checkout, makes the shopping experience more personable and welcomed being checked out by a person. read more

Sprouts used to be one of our main shops for quality produce, meats and bulk dry goods however we stopped shopping at Sprouts a couple of years ago. The soaring prices of their goods soured us on the experience. We'd much rather go to Monterey market, where you get much better products, or even Trader Joe's which offers much better value. The ambiance is clean and the employees helpful. On occasion employees have pointed me to other grocery stores for better value. and selection. I should note, however, that despite having four or five check out lanes, they rarely have more than one or two open at the same time so the lines to pay can be long. Plus, it didn't help to learn that Sprouts is owned by Safeway. If they are trying to market Sprouts as the higher end version of Safeway in the grocery marketplace as Toyota does with Lexus, they will need to do a better job. read more

Look out for the strawberries - buy 1 get 2nd 50%. Ambiance is bright and vibrant with nice workers. Bought a delicious apple pie for Pi Day for only $3.14! Love the crust and tender apple filling, I also like the prepared meals like shrimp scampi, chicken stir fry, etc. I want to try the chimichurri steak next. Today was my first day at a Sprout's and more than likely my last. I drove all the way from Benicia to get produce, Raley's in Benicia and Safeway are so disgusting and overpriced. The produce at Sprout's is overpriced, and extremely poor quality. The bulk selection has more options than Whole Foods, unfortunately it is poorly stocked with bags, twist ties, and pens -- not sure which genius put pens on long ball chains, that then fall behind the containers -- obviously not the brightest crayon in the box. The only highlight was paying 25 cents and getting a reusable bag -- wish more stores did this. Left here, and went to Whole Foods on Ignacio and got all the produce and meT we needed. Save yourself a trip, this store is a waste of time. read more

Kind of embarrassed to admit it, but this was my 1st visit to a Sprouts store. As there's not really one conveniently located next to me. The store here in Pinole is wedged tightly inside a strip mall with a similarly cramped parking area. For these reasons alone, it looks like it could be a nightmare parking and shopping experience here on a busy weekend or holiday, tbh. I was however lucky to score a weekday spot near the entrance and headed inside. My 1st impression was it had more of a typical health food store vibe comparatively speaking to a place like Trader Joe's for example. Tons of vitamins, homeopathic remedies and environment-friendly cleaning products sort of when you walk in one side of the store. My interest was more produce & food stuffs, so I headed that-away. They've got decent produce here (duh). Albeit if noticeably pricier than at other places. Their U.S. sourced, seasonal cherries I found however are they best I've ever eaten. Perfect balance of sweetness & tartness. A good portion of their heat & eat, ready-to-eat meals come with some eye-popping price tags. Like $20 and up for some pre-packaged salmon meals, pastas & chef salads. $20 for pre-made pastas & salads? Hmm. I did score a prepackaged tuna salad sandwich however for $4.99, which bests any supermarket price for the same. And found some tasty-looking shortbread cookies that had been marked down a couple bucks for another great deal. The upshot I soon discovered about Sprouts? Shop, navigate the prices carefully & dig around a bit and look for the best deals. As they won't necessarily jump out at you among the other higher priced offerings. Look for the yellow and especially RED pricetags throughout the store, which indicate significant mark downs over original prices. This store has an online shopping service, similar to others, where they shop for you and you go pick it up. Although I'm unsure the details. Take advantage of the coupon on your 1st visit receipt, which grants you a 20% discount on your return visit. Inside, they maintain 3 self-check out stations for those of us who still appreciate that option (store in Vacaville does not however). The weekly sales & specials flyers are typically found online or at the company's website as opposed to in the mail. Be sure to check these for the best prices along with in-store promotional events. We love sprouts! They have the best produce. Their cherries and figs are out of this world delicious! We get a lot of stuff for salads and sandwiches there and if you don't feel like making a salad they have the best pre-made salads in town. I love their beet salad and the Mediterranean one best but the chicken Caesar is also very good. They have our favorite cheese curds, apparently everyone's favorite cheese curds because they just cannot keep them stocked. Their pies and cookies are made fresh daily and delicious! The best seafood counter as well. So much variety, and again if you don't feel like cooking their pre-made meals are perfect. We like the meatloaf and taters & the chicken Alfredo. Unsanitary and understaffed. They could've easily gotten five stars. Because last time I came here, I got a wonderful toasted deli made sandwich. The guy was nice and promptly. I wanted a sandwich made from the deli. But they had closed early when they usually close at 8 o'clock. He said they were closed early because they were horribly understaffed and he was the only one in the deli so he couldn't make sandwiches. Even though there was another guy back there with him. So I don't understand? I asked to use the restroom and I can't believe the Hill storm that I walked into. After seeing the bathroom like that, I could only picture with the rest of the places that we don't see in this building could possibly look like. Literally when I walked out of that restroom, my feet were sticky because I could hear them on the floor. And then when I looked beyond the deli counter and my eyes focused on the back, I could tell that it was also atrocious and unsatisfactory back there. Are they only hiring high school children with no morals. Or are the adults here also just the same. Do you not have janitors to clean the restrooms throughout the day. Or someone to at least check the restrooms so they could be cleaned at multiple certain points in time throughout the day. I will not be coming back. And sad part is they don't even have the first responder discount. When you're right across the street from a Kaiser facility. This is terrible. The franchise owner needs to get it to. This is my neighborhood sprouts. I really enjoy the selection, and the people working here are very friendly. I've been here morning noon and night different times of the day always had consistent service. I'm excited about the selection lots of foods that I can eat on my sometimes limiting diets.
