Do not trust this store! I was advised to take a supplement from them to boost my testosterone. I was not advised anything less. I took the supplements for a month and started balding. My facial hair and head began to bald. Never had this happen and doesn't run in my family. I'm also 30 years old! I went into the store to ask about what's happening and about possible things to help slow or reserve the issue....and I was blown off. I felt bad for the lady in their being told a whole story about how great their supplements are when I'm in my situation. Worse experience I've ever had and can't believe the service I received. Will not be going here again. These people are here to sell you something they don't know their sh*t and pretend they do (ever notice that's why they recite the ingredients like you can't read them and pretend they know what they do) Take my warning do not go here! read more

I went to get something there last night, but it wasn't in stock. The guy was really nice and told me when they're shipments come in so I could come back and check them, only he said they don't know what's going to be in the shipments. I don't know how that happens week after week and how you keep a store in stock with all that guesswork, but that's not my business. He said the closest store that had it was Napa so I said I'd try to get there next week maybe (or check back here at the end of the week. I also asked if it was something I could order online and he said no, I couldn't order it online because it was out of stock. About 20 minutes later I ordered it online (where it said it was in stock on both the Vitamin Shoppe website and Belk-which is who I ended up ordering from after this) and it says it will be here in a few days. If it doesn't get here in that time frame, then that's another thing, but I guess I'll find out soon enough. The guy was really nice, but maybe they need to change something about how they check facts when customers ask questions. read more

Everytime I visit this place for supplements, I always ask Zack for his insight and recommendations. He has a high level of product knowledge and a friendly relaxed demeanor. He never tries to push products but always is able to explain the physiological and functional affects of ingredients in the products. Waited out front of the store yesterday with a few other customers waiting for them to open. Sign on door said Open at 11am. It was at least 10 minutes after that when we left and headed for the nearest GNC, since they were still not open. I also must mention that there was an elderly gentleman waiting outside as well. If your. Or going to open on time, change the sign on the door and put a bench out front for ppl I did respond to the contact information request as soon as they requested it. I have purchased supplements here in the past and had an ok experience. I like the fact that you can order it online and just walk into the store and just pick it up. I don't like the fact that their prices are higher than other online retailers. Their rewards program is also confusing and not worth the trouble. I also don't like that both times I used their online in store pick up option, there were items it allowed me to purchase but ended up being out of stock. So when I went to pick them up, I did not get what I ordered and had to wait for my card to be refunded. Overall, this place is convenient but I would only use them if I needed something right away and was willing to pay a higher price for it. read more

Woooooow. This review is for the manager with the black hair that was working earlier today - not vitamin shop. My boyfriend went to vitamin shop off of E Roseville parkway today and tried to return two products that he had just bought because he tried them (like the employee at the time had suggested) and he ended up having an allergic reaction to them - which was totally not the employees fault because they had no idea that he would have an allergic reaction.... BUUUT the manager today (a woman with black hair) decided that she was going to try to avoid the return by telling my boyfriend that he did not have an allergic reaction and that he should have known that he should not have mixed the two products. This is absurd because one of her employees specifically suggested mixing the two products (I was present for the suggestion)!! We both love this vitamin shop which is why I didn't have the heart to give it less than two stars. The employees are all friendly, knowledgable, and professional - with the exception of the manager. The manager was rude, argued with my boyfriend - telling him he did not have an allergic reaction (when he definitely did), and talked down to him when it was one of her employees who had suggested mixing the two products. You should definitely go to this vitamin shop just maybe steer clear of the manager - she's awful - especially if you have an issue.. read more

Been looking for a local supplement store and finally found it here. These guys not only know about the products they sell but they use them too. Every time I go in they have suggestions and never try to sell you the "popular" stuff just because everyone else is using it. They find out what your goals and needs are and make suggestions appropriately. I found a new pre workout and protein that I LOVE and I normally wouldn't have tried it. Another kicker for me is that these guys actually lift and some compete in different types of contests. How many times have we all gone into a GNC to find someone who, doesn't seem to live the life style or seem that they themselves use the products, to have them suggest some product that doesn't fit your goals. I'm not saying you gave to look the part to know your stuff. I'm saying I want to know you actually use the product you are selling me! Not just read up on it! They will even tell you noy to buy something if it doesn't fit your needs, taste gross or just doesn't work. This is the spot to shop at! At least stop in and chat with them. read more

Now I know why. The staff was polite and didn't try to sell me anything other than what my trainer recommended. I've been to other supplement stores that want to sell me everything under the sun. Very disappointed in the service at This Vitamin Shop. Not only ignored but treated very disrespectfully. When I ask the person who claimed to be the manager her name so I could complain to owner she refused to give me it but looked at me in a threatening manner and said with a "glare" but I know yours.
