I've always wanted to check out this vitamin store. I happen to be in the area today so I thought I would give it a try. I'm so glad that I did. I'm really into vitamins and protein. I had a couple of questions about some of the products. An employee named Arjun helped me out. He was so patient. He is so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He answered all my questions. The guy working Saturday morning around 11:30 was so rude to me. I'm not sure what his problem was but I asked about price matching and he immediately got defensive and told me they don't do that. Understandable. I asked him if we can price check a protein powder because it was on sale online and wanted to know if it was also on sale in stores he said "if there's no tag it's not on sale" but he scanned it anyways and what do you know IT WAS on sale. I feel like he got annoyed with me. I asked him if they'd honor the spend $110 get 20% off discount but again he shuts me down saying it's online only, I get it but it's the attitude for me and talking to me like I'm stupid. I then went and saw a promo for Alani energy drinks buy 1 get 1 50% off and he walked by me so i asked if this also includes the mini Alanis and he said yes but they actually aren't doing the promo anymore. Mind you there is SIGNS ALL OVER the Alani cases promoting it and the minute I ask he snatches the tags off the display so now they are no longer honoring it? I saw the date that the promo expired October 28th and it was STILL up being promoted. I immediately put the Alanis back and walked away to the front and purchased my powder. The guy clearly had an issue and was taking it out on me. I had never been treated this way especially when just asking normal customer questions like price matching and a sale item? On the hunt for a great strawberry plant based protein, so I called the Vitamin Shoppe to get some recommendations. AJ picked up the line and was very helpful, patient, and made suggestions based on customer feedback, and even took the additional time to share specific brand names and current promos that related to my desired purchase. I missed AJ but the time I arrived at the store and Andres helped me, because I couldn't find one of the brands AJ suggested. Great service, love the stores floor plan, easy to navigate by section, product type, clear signage on promotional and sales items. I'm not sure if Tim is the store manager but he's diligent, a quick problem solver and handled my issue seamlessly. I ordered a product online and set it for pick up at the store. I've never been in the store before but I passed by a few times. My friend recommended here bc she loves the store and the staff. Anyways for some reasons my order didn't show up in the system. Tim called the headquarter and allowed me to buy the item in the store at the price I paid for online. I was able to pick up the product and use it today and not have to wait a whole week to get it. In my many years on this earth, I have never received the level of poor customer service that I received from David, the assistant manager. I walked in to the store and received the normal greeting that you get when you walk into a Vitamin Shoppe. No big deal. Welcome Vitamin Shoppe. Can I help you find anything?" I said No. He said started to rattle of some specific supplements that people look for. I again said no. then he asked if I had any questions? I told Mr. David "No(for the 3rd time)I'll come get you if I do". He said excuse me and I repeated myself. Hindsight being 20/20 I think he was upset that I told him I didn't need his help. I walked over to the fish oil pills, browsed for a couple minutes, literally 2 minutes and went over to the Herbs section. David came over to me again, can I help you find anything? I said no again(4th time). He began to run off a list of things people look for, I said no again(5th time) if I need you I'll come get you. Then he made a snarky comment "well I have 10,000 items in this store." I this point I'm I understand what this is. I had been in the store for no longer that 5 minutes. I had been asked by the same employee 5 times if I needed help. He was interacting with me to make sure I wasn't stealing. It's a technique that is used in Retail to make it seem like you're interested in helping me but you're really trying to make sure I am not stealing. I asked to speak to his manager, he said he is the manager. Then he said he was the manager on duty. Then he said he was the Assistant Manager. I asked him the Store Managers name. He said Noah. I asked when is he available he said he couldn't tell me that. It was against California Law not to give out the schedule of employees. He told me that I seemed upset. I told him, I told you I didn't need your help, I would come get you if I did, but in 5 minutes you have asked the same questions, I have given you the same answers. I feel like you are harassing me. Leave me alone. Mr. David then told me I was rude to him when I walked in the door when I told him I didn't need him. I told him that's not rude, but your harassment is. He then argued with me about me needing his help or me telling him I didn't need help was rude. At this point was beyond furious. I told David to leave me the **** alone and get away from me. You are harassing me. He told me to get out because I raised my voice and I used profanity or he would call the police. I told him to call the police and call his manager while he was making calls. Mind you, I have not been in this store 10 minutes. I continued to look at the supplements I came into to look at. David came over to me and stood in front of me and told me to leave. I would step to the left, he would counter. I would step the right he would do the same to block my view. He then told me I can do this all day. I told there silent. He left came back again and told me you can look but I will not ring you up. Truly childish. I have never left a place so angry that I was shaking. Unfortunately this isn't the first time I have experienced this but it is the first time it has been so blatant and so rude. I asked another employee at the front counter who the manager was, they said David. I rephrased my question, who is the Store manager was. They said Noah. I asked her when would they be in she told me they couldn't give me that information. I told him I'd call the corporate office and let them know of my experience here. He said go ahead, they are closed on the weekends" I think that speaks volumes to the leadership or lack there of, at a company if they would not tell a customer when the manager would be in and that this is your assistant manager treating a customer like this. I come to that Vitamin Shoppe ALL THE TIME. I love the Vitamin Shoppe. I have never had that kind of experience at any of them or anywhere. They all do the same greeting. I let them know if I need them I'll grab them. They all have said ok, ill be right here or just let me know. I understand that one bad apple doesn't destroy the bunch but this type of racial profiling or any type of profiling can not be tolerated and needs to be addressed. As soon as I walked in I had my eyes set on a particular protein product. I asked the employee where the product was and he was able to direct me in the right direction. Any questions I asked they were able to answer efficiently. The staff was also helpful during checkout, when I provided them my rewards information. They offered a monthly shipping of the product I purchased at double the reward points and a discount on the product. Some of their products may be overpriced sometimes but they have honored price match in the pass. I do plan on returning to this establishment in the near future. read more

I really really like this store. I find that they are cheaper than most vitamin stores out there. The staff is always friendly, and they don't try and up sale you, they're there to help and that is all. The store is very clean and organized, and they always have sales. When you walk in you feel like you are in a world of vitamins...it is amazing how many isles and shelves are filled by little pill bottles. This place is situated right across from Arden Mall, i hate the parking lot, but he customer service makes up for the way the parking lot is set up, i come here for my workout goods...pre and post workout goods supplements etc. The store is very clean, well lit, very well organized and easy to navigate and most importantly the customer service is always super!! Sales staff seem to have a wealth of knowledge on products that I ask about. The price points here are great. Their products are always on sale. Not to mention my fave protein powder ISOPURE protein powder is always at a great price point!! I like this vitamin store, it has everything from various herbal teas, protein bars, protein meats, supplements of all kinds, a woman & man's section for vitamins, etc. Clean, well lit, and very organized. Parking lot is abundant. Also staff is friendly, I like how they didn't all follow me because the way I looked and all, they let me be and shop comfortably. LoL. Long story short, I went camping got a little tipsy, the next morning I woke up with a headache, and my bro was drinking this Black water in a bottle, literally it's black water, haha. "Store Manager" Julian thinks it's okay to speak to customers anyway. He is extremely RUDE. He was upset with me approaching the counter after he finished a transaction with a customer and tried to reprimand me for not wanting to continually stand there and hear him finish a conversation about the rain with another customer. As he continued to criticize me for approaching the counter. Saying harshly, "I'll be with you." He dropped my change on the counter and forcibly said, "Here's your change LADY!" I asked him not to call me lady. Had he taken a polite tone, calling me lady would have been appropriate. So he responded with, "What, you want me to call you, Sir? Here's your change... "MA'AM.!" He then proceeded to tell me I needed to learn patience. I was completely shocked that a MANAGER of the Vitamin Shoppe would take such a nasty tone with me. I have never been so disrespected for wanting to pay for an item once the previous transaction was completed. I will never return to this store as long as "Store Manager" Julian is working at this location. I have been in customer service for over 10 years and Julian has a lot to learn about proper customer service etiquette, such as smiling, acknowledging a customer waiting in line to pay, and common etiquette of how to manage conversations with customers when you have other customers waiting in line. I don't think customer service means ignoring a customer patiently waiting while you hold a conversation about the rain after you've completed the transaction. His behavior was not only disrespectful (when I was blatantly ignored) but downright inappropriate and should not be tolerated by his supervisors, co-workers, and/ customers. Shame on you 'Julian.' Upper management should definitely reprimand you for not representing the Vitamin Shoppe brand accurately. read more

Received excellent, friendly customer service here. I came in to pick up a supplement that I usually get on Amazon. After using Google's shopping search, I mistakenly thought I would find it in-store at a certain price. I had probably glanced at the price for a smaller quantity, but one of the employees looked it up online himself, and then he let me try to look it up exactly how I had found it before. I wound up giving up with my search. Later he came back from doing his own research on what competitors were selling it for, and he offered it at a huge discount. Took my first trip to The Vitamin Shoppe this weekend and loved it! Nice, open space with an inviting atmosphere. I'm not a gym junkie or uber health enthusiast, but just being in there made me want to explore the aisles! My husband and I immediately found the protein powder we were seeking, and were thrilled to note that their pricing was equivalent to their online store and even Amazon!! I could definitely see myself stocking my usual supplements there. It was also nice to have great customer service, and staff that were friendly and not over-bearing; we shopped in peace and were not bombarded as soon as we walked in the door. It was My 1st time coming here and I came a little before closing time, so about 8:20ish and they closed at 9pm. It was on a Tuesday night so it wasn't crowded. I knew what I wanted, but didn't know what brand. As I was looking around for what I needed, a nice young man named Da'Jon assisted me. He was VERY knowledgeable in the product I was looking for and he knew the difference in a few different brands which was very helpful. He knew his stuff and he wasn't rushing me out of the store like I experienced a few other places a little bit before closing. Seemed like he was very educated in the products and the functions of what it does for the body. That was awesome. He wasn't trying to sell me extra stuff either even when I told him I was on a strict training regimen. He recommended what I could get next time and that was very nice. But for the last month there's been a girl working there and she dont say hi or look at you. She rings your products up and leaves it behind the counter so you have to reach back there and grab it. This Vitamin Shoppe has always been my go-to health goods store! They have a great selection of all of my favorites...I went through an obsessive phase of Larry's complete cookies! Which this location always kept several flavors always stocked and thus this became my go-to health goods spot! The employees have all consistently over the years been extremely friendly and knowledgeable on ANYTHING I have ever asked or been curious about. I also am a huge ear candling person and get my ear candles from here as well. My current product obsession here (which I have only been able to find here) are my favorite Bang energy drinks! Bang makes a protein keto-friendly energy drink that they offer in 3 different flavors (mocha, hazelnut, and cookies& cream). My favorite is the cookies and cream and they always have great deals on cases here. So today I came in and the same associate recognized me from months ago and complimented me on how great I look since I've started my diet. One thing that always sticks well with me is customer service and building a good relationship with clients. I've been going to Vitamin Shoppe for about 10 years; since GNC kicked out anything other than their store brands out of their stores. GNC's quality went downhill at that point in my opinion. All the Vitamin Shoppes I've been to have been clean, had a good selection of high quality products and very competitive prices. Their staff always seems to be trained to be helpful without being pushy. There was one jerk at the Sunrise Blvd store actually, but he was the exception. Everything I like about the Vitamin Shoppe chain holds true for this store. The only knock I have for THIS store is that it's smaller than the standard store, so it doesn't have the QUITE the same level of inventory as most other stores. read more

Vitamin shoppe is a complete rip off. I bought two body tech items and then later saw that brand was buy one get one half off. I returned to see if I could get another item for half off wanting to spend more money and they said no. They said you have to ask about discounts at that time or they can't do anything for you.
