I hate to leave reviews this long, but this experience was so unbelievable that I feel a responsibility to share it with other people, especially when it comes to something as important as our hair. I booked a color and cut. My starting hair was a medium-dark brown with some red undertones, which is why I wanted it refreshed to a warmer, richer chocolate shade--nothing drastic, nothing near-black. In the salon, I selected the Level 4 chocolate brown swatch. I also looked at the Level 3 dark brown swatch and asked for her opinion. I told her I wanted my hair a little darker than it currently was, and she said she could mix a little of the dark brown into the chocolate brown. At no point did I choose Level 3 as the base of the formula or request anything close to a near-black result. When going into a salon and selecting a color from the book, it is the colorist's job to explain how that specific shade will read on your actual hair and to create the formula that will produce a result similar to the swatch you selected. If your hair is already dark and the swatch will pull much deeper, a professional should explain that clearly and adjust the formula. She did not do this. Instead, my hair came out significantly darker--almost black--nowhere near the chocolate brown I chose. I didn't notice how dark it truly was the night of the appointment because I was exhausted, nearly falling asleep in the chair, and it was already dark outside. The next day in natural light, I was shocked. I told my husband I was disappointed, but he said he liked it, so I tried to live with it for a few days. But it was just not what I was looking for at all. The haircut was just as bad. She cut a huge chunk in the front without angling it into the rest of the hair, and all the layers in the back were cut blunt with no blending, no texturizing, nothing. She styled it wavy with body, which masked how choppy it actually was. I was also floored by the pricing. Her website lists all-over color as $120+, and I fully expected to pay more for long hair--but not $250 for the color alone. She charged $250 for color, $75 for the haircut, and $65 for the blowout. The cut and blowout prices were reasonable, but the color price made no sense compared to what's listed online. I actually walked back inside afterward and told her I was shocked, and she adjusted the color price to $180. When I reached out looking for a solution--not a refund, just a correction--her tone over text was extremely unprofessional and dismissive. She insisted she "followed the shade I chose," even though I did not choose Level 3 and never asked for anything close to this result. She repeatedly contradicted herself by saying she followed the shade I picked, while also telling me my hair would naturally come out darker than the swatch because my hair was already dark--essentially admitting the result would never resemble the swatch I selected. I was so confused and taken aback by her refusal to collaborate that I decided to go into the salon to speak with the owner--only to find out that she is the owner. She refused to even look at the swatch next to my hair. I had to take the book myself, walk to the mirror, and compare it. When I asked her to come over and look, she said no because she wasn't going to do anything about it anyway. She even accused me of showing her a before picture that could have been from "5 years ago" which prompted me to scroll through my phone and show her that it was in fact from a few weeks ago and she still took 0 responsibility. Then she told me the only way to fix the color would be to bleach my hair for hours and that it would cost $1,000. Any trained colorist knows that is simply not true--she could have easily lifted the color and retuned it. The fact that she suggested extreme bleaching as the only option showed me she either doesn't have the proper education or simply didn't want to help. At that point, it became clear that she wasn't just unwilling to correct her own work -- she was refusing to acknowledge any responsibility at all. Between the incorrect color, the poor haircut, the inflated pricing, her dismissive tone over text, her refusal to look at the swatch, her refusal to offer any solution, and her claim that the only fix would be thousands in bleaching, I cannot recommend this salon to anyone. I now have to pay another professional to fix both the color and the cut. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

When I pointed out that this was not what I asked for and explained that he had cut off years of hair growth, he repeatedly told me to "trust him" instead of acknowledging my concern. At that point, I felt uncomfortable and had to stop him from continuing to cut the back of my hair, which unfortunately resulted in an uneven and awkward haircut. The lack of listening and respect for my request was frustrating, especially since hair length cannot simply be fixed or replaced. I value clear communication and trust when it comes to a haircut, and unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Instead he kept gaslighting me saying I am not a specialist and I don't know hair. Of course I am not a specialist and that's why I booked with someone who I thought would be one. Attached is the picture of my "trim". I don't see how that amount translates to a trim. He even pointed out how healthy my hair was... anyway steer far away from this salon if you have long beautiful hair and only want a trim!
I had the best experience at The Vivid Salon! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was so welcoming and professional. I had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Nardeen, and let me just say--she is truly amazing at what she does. I came in wanting a fresh change, and she transformed my hair color to the most beautiful macchiato shade. The results exceeded my expectations--I'm absolutely in love with it! Not only is the color flawless, but the way she blended and styled my hair shows how much talent and attention to detail she has. Nardeen really listened to what I wanted, gave me great advice, and made sure the final look suited me perfectly. I've gotten so many compliments already, and I can confidently say I've found my go-to stylist. If you're looking for a salon that makes you feel cared for and a stylist who can bring your vision to life, I can't recommend The Vivid Salon and Nardeen enough!
Stumbled on this gem of a salon looking for balayage and a cut and found Nardeen. She was able to correct my highlights from another hair salon. She took her time even when she had multiple clients waiting for her. I even got a compliment from one of my friends who is a hair stylist so I know she did a great job. Will definitely be back.

Coming here was life changing! I came this past weekend with inspo pics to show what I wanted and Stephanie delivered! She was extremely attentive, asked lots of questions, gave me realistic options and accommodated my preferences. I previously bleached and dyed my own hair and damaged the bottom half of it so we worked out a plan to get me long, healthy hair! I am so in love with my hair and this honestly gave me the boost of confidence that I needed. It's not a question of if I'll be back but how often LOL
Finally found a go-to salon! I've been without one in LA for years after my former stylist moved out of state. After two visits to Vivid, I'm sold. I went first in January to have a haircut fixed, and Hana did an amazing job and gave me the cutest bob. I just went back this week for some balayage with Nardeen and it's so beautiful and well blended. I have a lot of thick, curly hair that I can't just take it anywhere but, both times I've left Vivid, I've left happy with how my hair was styled, and ready to show it off .
So I did a thing, and I revisited The Vivid Salon, and Hana, to treat myself to a lash lift before an upcoming trip to Hawaii later this month - and wow! This was my first experience with a lash lift, and it took about 30 - 40 minutes in total, with application of the lifting product and letting it set. For those of you who may be less familiar with the process, for the next 48 hours I have to be cautious when washing my face, and avoid wetting my lashes. Hana assured me I could still work out as normal, and just to use cotton pads, or other dry wipes to keep my lashes dry. Lashes are supposed to keep a lifted look for about 4-6 weeks depending on treatment and care after treatment. Hana warned me that because my lashes are somewhat short for the procedure my results may be variable from other people's results - I think we were both pleasantly surprised when they came out as they did. I have been coming to The Vivid Salon with Nardeen for a year now, and my hair has gone through a complete beautiful transformation ever since! The service is amazing, and the care for your hair is taken to a great lengths to ensure your hair stays healthy and beautiful. They also play really good music and movies while you're here. I called this place a couple of days before a trip I had. My hair obviously was in need of major correction and this place was able to take me the same day I called. Hannah literally saved my life. It took her 1 session to completely transform my orange head to something super sexy. She was easy going and just overall knows how to listen to what the client wants. Best haircut I've ever had. found this salon on Yelp and after seeing many reviews on yelp about Nardeen, I decided to book with her. The space is large and very clean. They offered me a beverage right away. I was really nervous to get my haircut by someone new but gave it a try. I showed Nardeen a photo of what I wanted and she got it perfectly. Booked here for the first time because its near my job, and loved the experience. They are very friendly and professional. Nardeen did my hair and she did an amazing job at it! I felt very comfortable with Nardeen as she answered all my questions and let me know how the bleaching and coloring would turn out before getting to work. She consistently asked me how I was doing and we shared some great laughs. Hair is 10/10, I feel super confident and happy it's not damaged. I love the vivid salon! This is my second time coming here with Nardeen and I always leave super happy with my haircut. I made an appointment with Nardeen and she didn't even do my hair. They are racist af, didn't give a darn abt my hair just rushed it and half assed it. My scalp is so sensitive and I don't ask stylists to be gentle but I was on the verge of tears. At least they got my hair color right. Didn't even blend my hair good read more

Nardeen is wonderful! She does my Brazilian blowouts and haircuts and my son bleach and purple dye. My son's hair looked amazing and vibrant. He got tons of compliments and she did it incredibly quickly too. My Brazilian blowout last way longer than anywhere else. I've gotten them done. My hair always comes out. Sleek and smooth and lovely. I'm always happy to go back there. She takes great care of us. read more

This is a long overdue review but I love to see how my hair grows in it before leaving a review to ensure quality and longevity of what I've requested. I've been to Nardeen twice now for a full balayage and her work has been absolutely top tier. She knows exactly what works, and even though I have longer hair than average people, she does an excellent job at taking her time and paying attention to detail. Love this place! I've been here a few times and they're always so kind from the front desk staff to the stylists making sure I feel my best. This particular visit was very special to me because I was coloring my hair for the first time ever. Nardeen is the best! The service was amazing! They were able to book me an appointment same day for a haircut and Hannah did such an amazing job she was checking in with me after every snip to make sure it was exactly how I wanted! ABSOLUTELY in love with my new hair do!! It feels light and fresh and I'm so happy I finally had the nerves to come in and get a "big" haircut and style. I have been super nervous to get a drastic cut for years but my husband encouraged me as I needed a change and really needed to work my way to healthy hair. I have been over styling my hair with flat iron curls for the past few years and have basically let it burn so John and Raz helped me get it to look so beautiful and healthy today. I came to vivid salon in hopes they can save my hair and i am so happy Hana was able to. I went to get a balayage else where and it was very patchy and uneven. Hana did such a wonderful job saving my hair and making me feel happy again. She was able to fix and give me such a pretty balayage. How much for caramel balayage?
