I booked a last minute appointment on Saturday afternoon for myself and daughter based on the reviews and the fact that it's down the street from my house. I have been growing my hair out for the past two years and had been aching to get a hair cut and finally donate my hair and start 2019 off with a new fresh cut! I came across Tina's Yelp, and saw that she was fairly new and only had 1 customer review. I read the Yelp review and felt the need to trust my gut that she started her own salon but had a loyal customer following willing to drive to her to get their hair done. That commitment from one person made me take the chance. Service: Tina was the only one there that day. She cut my hair and she was incredibly nice off the bat and introduced herself right away, and made me feel right at home. I told her the style I was aiming for and she listened intently. She had a feel for my hair and made suggestions on what style would be best for my hair since it is SUPER STRAIGHT AND FLAT. She didn't overthrow my idea for my hair cut but rather worked with me to give me a style that I could easily manage (because I am a lazy bum when it comes to fixing my hair). I trusted her to do what was best since it was apparent she had been doing this for years! The hair cut was quick and perfect! Super easy to manage and style to frame my face! She is definitely now my go to salon here in the valley. Salon's Appearance: It's in the corner of the street across from CPK pizza...it wasn't difficult to find. The salon was clean and with subtle music playing. There's a welcoming energy about the place. Parking: There are parking meters in the street, but not even a full block away is a neighborhood where there's tons of free parking near the park or in front of he houses on Crebs street. I've had such bad experiences with hair dressers, so I was hoping this one would be a good one and it was! Tina took the time to listen to my experiences and discuss what I wanted done with my hair. Then walked me through the entire process. We picked color, and she showed me hair styles. I wanted a pixie cut. She did an amazing job. Finally Tina opened her own salon! Tina is such a find, and once I found her I will travel anywhere to have her cut my hair. I live in Burbank and was sad that she moved from Burbank to Tarzana but it's worth the trip. I have short hair and I'm very fussy. Most hairdressers I have tried never really listen to you or do what u ask they do what they think is the best , especially if u need help or direction and are not completely sure what u want . Tina is patient and sweet and attentive and really cares and wants to make u happy . She makes u feel pampered and I am never disappointed with my hair cut and color . I found this place on yelp and decided to bring my mom here to get color correction. My mom's hair was very damaged from over processing it. Tina was very nice and honest and told us she could not do the exact hair color my mom wanted because she did not want to damage it more.
