In the Am we visited not one but 2 amazing bakeries! #1 Sisters Bakery and #2 Angeline's Bakery on our way to Portland. (listed in no specific order) People had requested specific things from each bakery so we got to taste lots of delicious things; #1 apple fritters, doughnuts and sourdough bread and #2 bagels, quiche and a berry strudel or something that was to drool for! The level of design and function is incredible with large spaces and tons of amenities. If you have a dog, there's likely no better place to stay. The outdoor area for pets is huge with a ton of great furniture, a couple of fire pits, and it's totally fenced! The lobby bar is also a great experience with an art deco theme that feels like a cozy speakeasy. Ask Clayton to make you a cocktail, and you won't be disappointed. I had a Manhattan that was one of the best I've had in town. And the cacio e pepe popcorn was killer! My room had everything I needed including two beds, a large shower, a patio with a table and two chairs, toiletries, a Nespresso coffee maker (also included coffee, tea, sugar, honey, and creamer). The room had a sink, microwave, and mini fridge. There was also a couch, good quality tv, and a fire place. I liked that I've was available and it was pre-bagged to ensure cleanliness. The bathroom had a his and her sink setup, the shower is separate from the toilet, and the air conditioner was perfect, when needed. My only dislike about the room was the outlet near the bed. There was only one outlet available for a device that was not a phone or laptop. I needed to hook up a medical device and the outlet was too far from the top of the bed. I used the hot tub, sauna, steam room, and trails. At times, the women's locker room was a dirty mess. It would have been nice for someone to stay on top of keeping it clean. During the conference, we were served food, coffee, tea, and drinks. All the staff attending to us were great. Anything we needed, they provided it. I would for sure visit again!

Have stayed here once before and dismissed some of the quirks that time (an older room, 1st edition…read moreflat screen tv, etc) to the benefit of a larger room, and getting the free drink when you check in. However this time when checking in my keywords worked so went to dinner but when returning neither of them worked anymore so couldn't access my room and the hotel wasnt staffed after 8pm (I got back around 930). The main entrance door lock didnt work (security issue for an unstaffed hotel) so at least I was able to stay in the lobby while trying to figure out what to do. They have an emergency assistance number of the front desk to call but no one answers it so after multiple unanswered calls and voicemails to that resorted to calling misc numbers on post it notes behind the counter. One of those ended up in being maintenance who was able to get a hold of his manager who then got a 3rd party security to let me in. During all this another mom and daughter returned to also find their keys no longer worked as well. Once back in the room there was sounded like running water from the unit above all night long. Their is a counter over the back of toilet so the lid only stays up if you are seated holding it up with your back. One of the bedroom lamps hasnt been cleaned in a long time with the amount of bugs on the inside. When checking out in the morning noted the keycard issue which staff was very dismissive of me being locked out and them not answering their phone saying yeah they deactivate then with a list of items that will deactivate them such as phone, credit cards, etc. The keycards I had always kept in a separate pocket from those items as when checking in they mentioned to not keep by wallet or phone. Continental breakfast is subpar in comparison to the other hotels of a similar price point. Free parking with a parking lot is nice.

I recently attended a wedding at Aspen Hall and was amazed at the simple natural beauty and…read morepeaceful setting. The hall is built on the shores of a smallish pond/lake. I think that the city probably stocks the pond - it was very cute to see kids successfully fishing before the wedding. Because of the amazingly beautiful weather, we were able to have the actual ceremony outside on the shores of the lake - however, even if it had been rainy it would have been lovely to have the wedding indoors in the delightful space. It wouldn't surprise me at all to hear that Aspen Hall was built specifically for weddings. It is a hall that would seat about 150 people fairly comfortably. It has an industrial kitchen and is surrounded on one side by a spacious porch with plenty of tables for sitting, mingling, and hangin'. There was plenty of parking for a smallish wedding but for a larger wedding you might want to consider alternatives. I highly recommend this space to anyone looking for event/wedding space in Bend.
