Stopped in for coffee one morning while we were in need of caffeine. The lodge is super cute and the staff were friendly. Got a couple lattes and a hot chocolate, and the kind barista threw in a capri sun on the house for my kiddo. Prices were fair and we really enjoyed them. We hung out in the game room playing foosball and table tennis, and then walked around a couple of the bridges before heading out. Would definitely come back. read more

This is my second review of the Lake Creek Lodge restaurant. I cannot say enough. I will show you two pictures of the food, even the presentation is exquisite. Lake Creek Lodge.... what can I say? One of my favorite places to go to get away for a long weekend. I've probably stayed there at least 6 times, so far. We always stay in the "historic" cabins. Those are the original ones that they update occasionally. No 2 are the same. There's NO wifi reception unless you're in the lodge, I think that's a nice plus. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. There's a restaurant in the lodge but I've never eaten there. We usually do our own cooking in the cabin, or go out to eat in Sisters, which is close by. There's tons of trails for hiking, biking or just walking the dogs. Awesome scenery with the lake and the creek right there. Always seem to go there in the Fall or Winter seasons. It's a lot cheaper then too. One of these days I'll go in the summertime and check out the pool and tennis courts. Anyway.... it's a great place!!! read more

Right now we are not happy campers with this place! In the past when the restaurant was open, it was lovely! We love the cabins , we've been for decades but coming here yesterday to have coffee and a pastry was insane! Not one single food item was available! I'm reviewing the restaurant - I've been there twice now and our meal and service both times were perfection! I frequent the same restaurants like Suttle Lodge almost every week and still receive no recognition as a returning customer. Not so at Lake Creek Lodge - we came back for a second time and were welcomed back by both the waiter and the head of food and beverage. Everything I've had on the menu was delicious - Artisan Bread w house Ricotta, pistachio dukkah and smoked olive oil appetizer, Steelhead with a creamy horseradish sauce - cooked to perfection. My husband had the Wild Boar Tenderloin was amazing! The desserts were fabulous as well. So happy to have this wonderful restaurant as a dining choice near us! read more

The restaurant at Lake Creek Lodge was so good! Excellent service, shareable menu with additional sides. Desert was really good. We had the Chocolate Mouse and it was really good. We love our Old Fashion Cocktails and with a full bar you can get anything you would like. We enjoyed the 10oz Filet that was plenty to share, along with the asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. We will be going again just wishd they were open year round. Closed November until March. You won't be disappointed but you do need to make dinner reservations. read more

Lake Creek Lodge is so wonderful. As a new resident in Camp Sherman, we love walking there for their great coffee, tea, and tasty treats from Sisters Bakery. The room to sit and relax is so cozy (especially this time of year with a freshly stoked fire in the beautiful fireplace!). In the summers, it's always busy with weddings and events. It's such a lively and family friendly place. The seasonal restaurant is also amazing - incredible food! The grounds are beautiful and the cabins - so cute! read more

Our foursome had a a fabulous meal at Lake Creek Lodge. We shared a wedge salad and beet salad as starters shared by 4. Great starters! Two shared the rib eye, two shared the lamb Ossobuco and both were fabulous! Service was great, owner was there and graciously welcomed us and served us. I am in awe. I attended a friends wedding last weekend and she reserved all but two of the cabins. Ours () was Cabin #26 (the one with the retro kitchen). *see pics below. The staff was friendly and accommodating but, and this is just me, I loved that we saw/interacted with very few of them. This, because it was as if we owned the place. Most of the guest were on site which created such an intimate vibe. The wedding was nothing short of majestic, something out of a fairytale. My boyfriend and I shared our cabin with 2 other couple and paid around 400 for the weekend...well worth it. Oh and the food was ON POINT. Go here. Get married here. Just get here. read more

This lodge is a definitely must go if you need to be away from everything. Be ready for some great peace and quiet. There is no TV, Wi-Fi or even cell signal at the cabins. The older cabins have a view a great view and sound of water running from the creek and can be very relaxing. They have a gameroom where family can simply play pool, ping-pong, fooseball or even board games. This gives the family time to communicate and go back to basics. There are a lot of hiking trails in the area as well. Will visit again. read more

Please do yourself a favor and come!! If you need a break from life or even a get away with your lover please come! We are planning on coming back for years to come and starting a tradition. We loved it here. It was quite and peaceful and really recharged the battery's. Staff was great and cabins are great, we even seen deer. Please trust me and come. My fiance and I purchased a Groupon deal and headed there one month later. Intially, the advertisement left an impression on both of us that we would stay in the middle of nowhere. However, we realized this lodge is actually located among summer homes and what not in the middle of nowhere. Haha. So we didn't feel that isolated and scared at night. The receptionist/marketing coordinator (as her business card indicated) was nice and helpful as she suggested certain hiking trails and places to eat in Sisters, OR. We checked into our cabin #7. Now, this cabin is a bit special because it is connected to cabin #8, but hey.... we didn't even see our neighbors that much! This IS a huge property with 10+ cabins surrounding it. Sheesh! Every cabin is fully equipped with kitchen stuff, bath stuff, and comfortable bed. Outside, there is a BBQ stovetop and brush. Woohoo! If we had steaks, we'd loved to grill right then and there. The bike rides were so awesome, and the hiking experience was also fun. Because there was a forest fire not so long ago, the trees' trunks looked so burnt and depressing. The area looked super dry, but we didn't let that ruin our experiences in Central OR. :) Because these are some rustic cabins, there're no TV's. There's wifi, but there's no TV. Some cabins have TV, but the main lodge is opened from 8 am to 9 pm with full TV service anyway. However, I doubt that anyone would even think about watching TV out there for there're so many physical activities to do during the day. BUT, the main lodge is very cool, for it has TV, comfortable couches, and table tennis! Outside, there're tennis courts as well. Woohoo! read more

This review only has to do with customer service and policy: We had stayed at Lake Creek Lodge for a wedding earlier in the summer and enjoyed our stay. We decided to see if we could stay for 1 night in August as the start of our "babymoon". They were able to fit us in for 1 night even during the busy season since they had another check-in the day we'd be leaving. I had a medical emergency with preeclampsia the day before we were supposed to arrive and spent 2 weeks in the hospital. I called once I wasn't in such critical condition and exchanged phone calls/emails with the staff and manager. Although polite, they were completely unwilling to charge us a lesser amount or refund at all. I suggested even a small discount or credit but they would not budge. They said it was not in their policy to provide refunds for medical emergencies of any kind. I have never heard that before - we were planning on staying at Suttle Lake as well and they completely refunded our stay. It seems inconsiderate and unreasonable for a lodge to not accommodate emergencies with their guests. read more

Wedding Venue Review Venue: Absolutely gorgeous. Quaint cabins nestled into the woods of Central Oregon, a meandering stream with bridges, a lodge, a lake, the pool, the metolius river within walking distance, I could go on. There are multiple ceremony and reception locations on site. My husband and I said our "I do's" on the lake between two beautiful Ponderosas. We will be able to visit this spot for years to come. Shout out to Sean and his team who work hard to make the grounds look stunning year round. Accommodations: What was perfect about Lake Creek Lodge is how convenient it was for my closest family and friends to rent out the cabins on site. It's also an easy drive to Sisters as well. It meant so much to my husband and me to be surrounded by the people we love most. LCL made this such an easy process. Flexibility: One of the things I loved most about this venue is how willing they were to work with my ideas. Their wedding coordinator, Carmen, did an outstanding job guiding me through the processes and making sure everything was well organized and in order for the big day. She was quick to respond to my emails and questions throughout the year as we planned. I couldn't have done it without her. LCL is a group of down to earth individuals who were so easy to work with. The staff was professional and they worked so well as a team during the wedding day. The food: Not only can friends and family dine at the lodge over the weekend of your wedding, LCL also caters the wedding day and other special events. Their wonderful kitchen offers several options and LCL was willing to work with us if we wanted something off the menu list provided. The guests raved about the flank stake and pork loin served at our wedding. Yum!! I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful wedding and I so appreciated how easy it was to work with the wonderful staff at LCL. This venue surpassed my expectations of how my wedding was going to play out. I would highly recommend it! read more

We did a day trip and the accommodations outside of fishing were great, the staff was super nice but it's clear that the day trip fishers are last in pecking order behind lodge guests. We had a kind, but inexperienced guide who told us rookies like him got "the last pick" of everything from the boat, lures, rods, etc. we only caught 1 fish the entire day and the guide admitted to not being able to perform the same as the other ones. For the amount we paid we should have received an experienced guide and the proper equipment. I feel bad for our guide he did the best he could but for $600 a person, everyone should be accommodated to equally read more

Beautiful surroundings and cute cabins. We didn't stay there, but we had a chance to have dinner there on Saturday night. According to their website, prime rib was on the menu. However, when we were served, it was tri tip. Even though it was good, the server or the guy who took our reservations never told us. Kinda a big deal when you are expecting prime rib. And for 29.00 a plate, it seemed kinda pricey. Drinks are not included in this all inclusive meal, and there was no price list on the drinks they offer. The lighting in the dining room took away from the ambiance of the cabin, lodge and property. It was way too bright in there. Lights should be on a dimmer, and cute little lanterns should be on all tables. Would really fit the surroundings. We would like to go back for breakfast or lunch there next time, just because of how cute the property was. read more

This review is for the restaurant only. We did not stay there. Hubby and I had lunch in their restaurant this weekend. I had one of the best salads I have ever eaten. It was a VERY spicy Southwest Chipotle Salad and I added chicken breast to it. The chicken was done perfectly and the salad was delicious. In addition to the chicken, the salad had black beans, corn, avocado, onion, and now I can't remember what else. . . The chipotle dressing was really hot, so this salad is not for people who don't like very spicy food. I do and I loved it. Hubby had the hamburger. It was huge and he said it was very good. We just spent two wonderful nights having a peaceful relaxing time. Jacqueline at the front desk was super. Just what we found: Great old cabins first built some time in the 1930's. Fireplace, quiet, and the added bonus of no cell phone coverage. Needed a break to unwind a few days before Christmas, and found this place on Yelp. I booked this cabin as a getaway for my husband and I, WITH the understanding that there was WiFi (so our kids could reach us). When we got there, we realized there was no cell service, no WiFi, no one at the front desk. As a mom I would never stay somewhere where my kids couldn't reach me. I reached out to Lake Creek Lodge the next day asking for a partial refund, and they refused. Poor poor customer service. They should have NEVER advertised WIFI at my time of booking. read more

We came here for many years for summer vacation and loved it. Gorgeous and peaceful setting with nice amenities in a small, quiet and beautiful location. Then I think the resort changed ownership a handful of years ago and many things changed for the worse. The quiet peaceful setting became more of a destination resort for large groups. We kept coming anyway for a few years but the prices skyrocketed and the large groups made it feel crowded and loud. After not having been for a couple years, I came for a girls weekend in the off season. Both nights there were big weddings which made it hard to find a place to park and the music was thumping from the big event tent behind the lodge until 10pm. One night there was a sizable gathering at a cabin near ours until well past midnight and people were outside being loud. I love Camp Sherman and will be back, but I won't be staying at LCL anymore. Too expensive and too many large groups that detract from the quiet and peaceful setting that we loved so much. read more

It's a fun place. Really cool when the doe and her two fawns showed up in the back lawn to greet us in the mornings. The rooms and kitchen could use some more amenities, you may have to bring your own stirring and serving spoons and any special cooking tools, they provide the bare minimum and not in the greatest repair. There's enough to see and do in the area, including nearby Sisters for window shopping and to pick up odds and ends if desired. The family area at the main building is also a hit with the kids and the pool is well maintained, another big plus for families. read more

This review is only for the Bridges Restaurant at Lake Creek Lodge in Camp Sherman, OR. We have not yet stayed at the resort, although we plan to soon. It would be hard to imagine a more charming setting than the knotty pine dining room next to the creek at Lake Creek Lodge and the food is fabulous. Set dinner menus allow the talented chef to focus on one delicious and creative three-course meal every evening. Last night we had a remarkable appetizer platter that included a flavorful spinach artichoke spread better than any I've ever eaten. Our entree of stuffed game hen was roasted to perfection and drizzled with a rich balsamic reduction, served along side mashed potatoes worthy of a Thanksgiving table and fresh-picked and sautéed pea pods. A fruit parfait topped with house-made granola was the perfect light and healthy dessert. This was our first visit to Lake Creek Lodge, but we'll be back often. Menus change monthly and I can't wait to see what next month brings! This will be our go-to restaurant for out of town guests as it showcases Central Oregon to perfection. read more

Lovely cabins, quite woods, old-fashioned lodge with family games. Got smoked on foosball, but the ping pong skills came back in spades. Really great place for unwinding and enjoying nature and each other's company. Cell phones don't work. To TV...really gets you to unplug. We go back to this place every year and it makes our soul happy. The pool and outdoor activity box are great. There is also a fish pond, trails and large open grassy space for those with the urge to play field games. Great for kids of all ages. read more

My wife and I were married at Lake Creek Lodge in September 2014, and we can't emphasize enough what an incredible experience it was. Many of our family and friends have come to us since to tell us how unusually special our weekend was, and much of the credit for that goes to Lake Creek Lodge. Lake Creek Lodge really went above and beyond to exceed our expectations, and a special thank you to Olivia for working so hard to make everything happen seamlessly. Let me start with the people, as that's what really makes the experience. From Olivia, who was in charge of the whole weekend, to the groundscrew/serving crew - who were so helpful without being obtrusive, to the exceptional chef, everybody had a can-do attitude and clearly put in effort to make the weekend special and trouble-free for us. The food was spectacular. Lake Creek Lodge catered a breakfast, a rehearsal dinner, an after-wedding cocktail hour and the reception dinner, and both the quantity and the quality surprised both us and our guests. It was beautifully presented, special, filling and used high-quality ingredients. The restaurant was available at other times. Equally importantly, the beer was delicious and reasonably priced, and they allowed us to use our own selection of wine with reasonable corkage fees. So many establishments go overboard with beer, wine and liquor prices, but Lake Creek Lodge kept it reasonable. A+. Finally, the setting. Lake Creek Lodge is a truly exceptional place. Nestled in the reddish hues of Ponderosa pines and the delicious iron-infused soils of Camp Sherman, the natural backdrop to our wedding was exactly what we were looking for. Much of the property is wooded, natural and gorgeous, while other areas are more formal with a stone bridge over a creek and a flat grassy area perfect for a wedding and a reception. With everybody staying onsite (though there are plenty of nearby options for groups larger than can be accommodated in the cabins), it was an intimate affair among family and friends that lasted more than the few hours of most weddings. When all was done, we get to return for vacations and reunions to remember our most special of weekends. We whole-heartedly recommend Lake Creek Lodge for anyone planning a rural wedding experience. read more

We went for breakfast on Monday morning, to find that the restaurant is only open Wednesday through Sunday. We inquired of the maitre d' whether it was possible to have breakfast and his response was so nice. Although the chefs are not there when the restaurant is closed, he produced four slices of the most delicious quiche and two of the most enormous cinnamon rolls, which we washed down with good, freshly-brewed coffee. Five Stars is for near perfection for people looking for a more rustic experience: Vacationers that have had their fill of cruise ships, European tours or hotel resorts. Lake Creek Lodge is nearly unique in its lodge/cabin configuration, its woodsy facilities, its privacy...all surrounded by guest friendly grounds and activities...all in a forest setting with meadows embraced by pretty, quietly winding Lake Creek. I've been an infrequent guest for over half a century, first as a child with my parents, then with my own children, and just returned from a week there with my best friend, my wife. On-season LC is a family destination. Off season it's great for adult couples or groups. The older cabins (circa 1930s) are modernized but retain their knotty pine/screen porch roots. The newer cabins keep the rustic style but are fully modern, even a bit posh (to my eyes). I prefer the older units, but that may be because they're about my age. One important tip: meals served in the restaurant or on the patio through the on-season; off-season dinners only on Tuesday and breakfasts only Wednesday-Friday. But cabins have full kitchens and there are a number of restaurants within 15 minutes. read more

We stayed in one of the newest cabins in September and I think often of how wonderful the cabins are. They are spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated with a mix of new and antique decor, have spacious decks and most of all are in a tranquil setting. You can just walk out the door to hiking paths, a river walk, a pond, a playground and a beautiful pool. This is a small resort in Camp Sherman, Oregon that is away from the hustle of everyday life...no phones and no TV's but lots of quality time with my hubby and, of course, some good books. They have 18 cabins on about 40 acres of property. They are only about 5 minutes away from the Metolius River which is world renowned for exceptional fly fishing. We stayed for 3 days (they have a special where you pay for 2 nights and get the 3rd night free) - this special if only offered in the low season. We had such a nice, quiet, relaxing time. We brought along our two dogs (they have 8 cabins that are pet-friendly) and hiked through the woods and along the river. The cabins were very clean and had kitchens that are nicely stocked. The restaurant is not opened this time of year but they do have a Espresso Cafe (with wifi) that is open daily. This is definitely a resort that we will visit again and again. Not far from home but sure did feel like we got away. Might try it in the summer time as we can likely get some hikes in that are in the mountain range, given the weather we just stayed down in the basin. I think that this would also be a great place to bring your bikes as there are lots of trails and old forest service roads as well. They have a pool (open only in the summer) as well as tennis and basketball courts. Also, a recreation room in the main lodge that has a pool table, ping pong and my favorite, Foosball. I would imagine that this would be heaven for a family. For those that are looking for a reasonably price vacation spot you should check out their website at www.lakecreeklodge.com. They have an abundance of information available and some great pictures not only of the resort grounds but each cabin has interior pictures so you know what you are getting. Our cabin (#2) was very quaint, decorated with antiques, and had a nice gas fireplace in the living room. It was just perfect for the two of us and also had a nice screened in porch area so we could let the dogs dry off a bit before coming in for our afternoon nap ...
