She worked with me on finding a pharmacy as we were in a small town that rolls up the sidewalks at 6pm. A few days later he was having side effects from the medication. Contacted her and she asked some questions, asked for photos, and called in another prescription. I would never think to utilize medical services like this, but it worked out great. Without insurance, going to the ER can be quite costly and not knowing how much the bill will be until a few weeks down the road. With this service I knew the cost up front!!

I will say that we were welcomed as we entered this facility. The young lady who welcomed us as we entered the door was great (kind and answered all of our questions with great customer service). However, it's a little embarrassing when you are asked as you enter the building "Hi, welcome to Piedmont Urgent Care ... what brings you in today?" The large foyer area is open for everyone to hear. This practice needs to be changed for privacy sake. Next, several patient check-ins were hampered by some type of malfunction. Codes that were supposed to be sent to cellphones for confirmation were not working well. We waited for a code that never came and went to the counter and spoke with another employee (who didn't appear wanting to be bothered). She seemed to be aware of the issue and sent another code (we got it this time). Lastly, we sat for about 40mins watching patients check in, sit and wait with no sign of movement from the back Clinical area). I inquired how many doctors were in ... "just 1". This was horrible... as there was a poor hollering child next to us (excruciating ear infection) along with a couple of workers comp patients and other walk-in's like us. It appeared as though there was no one working in the back at all (no doctor, nurse or anything!). No doors opening-closing, no chatter... absolutely dead silence in the exam room area. We knew we were in for a very long wait and opted to leave and headed to another Piedmont Urgent Care facility up the street with a larger staff. We will not be coming back to this location (Centerville Hwy) again. I will share that the facility was very clean however they don't appear to have the staffing needed to provide the medical services needed and in a timely fashion. I cannot recommend this facility. (Went to the other facility and my husband was seen within 10mins. We were out within an hour!!! Unbelievable. Upon arrival here the waiting room had several patients waiting to be seen. They were all taken to exam rooms. Waiting room was left empty.)

Though there were only two other sets of people in the waiting area, I was told they were behind, and it would be a 45 minute wait. I was eventually called to the back at 6:30, only to sit in an exam room for almost an additional hour. The only good part of the visit was my NP, Donna. She was very kind, pleasant, attentive, helpful and informative. Had it not been for Donna, I'd give zero stars if I could. During my discharge instructions, the MA told me I could purchase my prescriptions from them or have them sent to my pharmacy. I chose my pharmacy. By the time I left Urgent Care, it was after hours. The following morning, I called the pharmacy regarding my prescriptions. The staff at Piedmont NEVER called it in. Totally UNACCEPTABLE and so inconvenient, especially when you're not feeling well. Even though Donna was amazing, I'd never return to this facility. I can give a little grace for the wait time. I get it, a lot of places are understaffed these days. However, not calling in the prescriptions, there's NO excuse...

Once the emergency was handled, I was left waiting indefinitely with no updates. When I eventually stepped out to see what was happening, I was ignored by the staff. The doctor was on her cell phone and other staff members were sitting around chatting despite a lobby full of waiting patients.
