Resident Culture N/A Lime Lager, June 2025.

Bottom line: The Walk Up is a nice place to chill with friends and enjoy a beverage, on the second floor above Happy's (up the stairs). It has an appealing, open, and relaxing atmosphere. Good sized cocktail and beverage menu including N/A choices. I enjoyed my Resident Culture N/A Lime Lager. Service was good on this visit. The Deets: While walking around downtown Cary with friends, we contemplated where would be a great place to try that we could relax with a beverage...The Walk Up came to mind for me. After discussion, off we went to check it out. It is, of course as the name implies, an upstairs cocktail bar (above Happy's) on the second floor. After climbing the steps, a nice relaxing open area with a good sized bar awaits with plenty of different type of seating with high top tables, sofa, bar seating, etc. to choose for use. You order at the bar, and our bartender was very nice and helpful. They have a nice menu of cocktails and beverages, even including some non-alcoholic choices to go with as well. I went with their Resident Culture N/A Lime Lager, I enjoyed this one a lot. My companions enjoyed their cocktail and highball beverages, although do note that their ginger ale has a lot more gingery kick to it than typical ginger ale as my friend found out. As the evening progressed, they got a bit more crowded of course so there was a bit of a wait to get closed out for the night as bartenders get thirsty customers taken care of but no more than any other bar experience. The Walk Up gave us the experience we were looking for that night, a nice place to relax and enjoy beverages with friends.

You enter through the door then you walk up to head to the bar. My husband and I started off with a beer then tried a few of the cocktails and so did our friends. We had a really fun time and this spot is cute. I can't wait to return to try a few drinks in their patio space. Cheers!

I found The Walk Up an easy go-to spot with only an 8-minute commute from my place. The website described that they are a Cocktail Club. Walk Up is not your typical bar. The Walk Up parking was effortless. I found a park on the street right in front of the building easily. The drinks are good tasting and top-tier, offering specialty cocktails that seem like they may change from time to time. I ordered the mill and the French 75, both with Hendricks. The mill from the cocktail list was amazing. The sage syrup was a perfect minty, musky taste, making the drink smell so refreshing. The sage syrup is a unique addition to my flavor palate. I love that they have a variety of seating options. I saw a few accent Swivel Chairs that I know are comfortable. The bar chairs have backs that are essential for customers' comfort, and it sends a welcome vibe that also determines how long I will stay and what I will spend. The seating is a winner in my book. The outside area is very nice! The staff here are nice and quick with acknowledging customers. The Walk Up space is very clean and has plenty of plants, which is very nice. It gave me that zen vibe. We all know the calming effects of plants. Love this! Music played lightly in the background, mostly instrumental to something I didn't know but nice enough. I could easily have conversations without yelling. The Walk Up is a yes for me. I look forward to seeing how it evolves, as this is only three months of establishment, according to the bartender I asked.

What a hidden gem! It's a cute spot that serve amazing well crafted cocktails! We were a big party to prepare drinks and the staff conquered and divided the orders! We will be back for a more low key date night!!

Stopped by RBF recently for an afternoon drink and really enjoyed my experience!…read more First, we ended up finding street parking right next to RBF, but I think there may also be a dedicated parking lot outside the back patio? Not entirely sure since we still have no idea how to access it, but maybe look for that lot if street parking is challenging :) Anyway, RBF is located in the basement of a building, so we had to take an elevator down from the entrance we took. Inside, it's got chill vibes - it definitely feels like a wine bar :) We ended up sitting inside on a high top, but there were various couches and a good amount of outdoor seating available as well. It took a while for our server to come check in with us, but she was super friendly and helpful with the wine selections once she came over. I got a random glass of red wine (they do not serve beer, in case you were wondering!) while my wife tried out a couple of tasters and then picked out a white wine for herself. The wine was pretty tasty and it was definitely a generous portion. After sitting there for a while, we also decided to grab some bread with pesto on the side. It took a sec for it to come out, but it wasn't bad! Nothing extraordinary but I wasn't expecting anything super gourmet, so it was totally fine. Overall, we had a great experience here and I would definitely stop by again on a date night.

Although every inch appears to be covered, it's not stuffy and quite cozy. The vibe is chill and the music is great. The hubs and I enjoyed our first visit of many to come. The staff was attentive and helpful in walking us through the menu and offering advice on our selections. We settled on the Fierce & Fiesty wine flight, the lumberjack charcuterie board, and the croissants w/ garlic butter. All were delicious, prices are fair, and the portions and pours were great. We left feeling satisfied and happy to have found a new chill spot to add to our local repertoire. Cheers to your success!

We tried 8 different ones, and all were excellent! The pesto and salami one was my favorite. The inside of the restaurant is pretty dimly lit, but we didn't mind and it helped create a cozy atmosphere. The outdoor patio looked nice and could be a good option for daytime. Our waitress was very attentive and let us know about the seasonal specials. They have a board and wine deal on weekday nights that we're looking to try next. I have been to Postino many times before, but this was my first time at the Raleigh location. While it's been 4 years since I've had Postino and the menu has changed a little, the bruschetta board is still a permanent fixture. We ordered a bruschetta board for an appetizer and I ordered the half panini & half salad for my entree. The bruschetta board is a must order because you can get 4 different kinds. The top tier choice is the salami pesto one. It's my absolute favorite. For my panini, I got the caprese one on ciabatta bread and the half of the mixed greens salad. The salad was delicious. This was a ton of food and felt very satisfying. I always love the vibe of Postino's, but this location was way too dark with only a small candle at the table. Service started off good and we were able to order our food without a problem. However, our server was done with his shift right after we ordered so we got a new server. Our new server had no idea we already ordered and was a little behind coming to our table for water refills. Despite that, we were in and out of the restaurant within 45 minutes. Postino is surrounded by other shops and restaurants, so they had a ton of parking available outside the restaurant. Highly recommend this place if you want good food!

I ordered the cast iron seared wagyu picanha steak, medium rare. When it arrived it was definitely rare, not medium rare, but more importantly it was cold. My sense is that this was due to it being frozen beforehand, but I guess it could have just been sitting around for a long time. The asparagus on the side was also unseasoned and undercooked. The chimichurri sauce was decent, but that's the most positive thing I can say about the meal. My wife got the crispy chicken club and it was OK but nothing extraordinary. I did enjoy eating her fries, though :) The service was good and the vibes were chill, but the food was just not up to par. We both ordered a flight of wine and enjoyed the different wines reasonably well. As mentioned, I think my previous review was a little too generous, and I probably wouldn't come back here unless I couldn't figure out another option in the area.

The menu looked amazing and we were super excited. We were sat at the first table right in front of the door and because it is winter time, it was a little bit unfortunate because every time the door opened it was quite cold. The restaurant itself is incredibly cute and intimate, but these first few tables right in front of the door make for a little bit more of a challenging experience in the winter. I think there might've been some sort of miscommunication with the waitstaff, because nobody came to our table and after about 10 minutes, and after seeing a couple who sat after us get there soup before we had had anyone greet us, we flagged down someone who then became our server. The service was great once we got that figured out! We both agreed the lobster bisque and desserts (creme brûlée and chocolate mouse cake) were the start of the show. For the appetizer, I got the whipped burrata and my spouse got the crab cakes. Two of the three crab cakes were unfortunately a bit over charred, which didn't make for the most pleasant experience. The one that was not over charred was very good! My burrata dip/spread was great! My spouse got the sea bass and I got the filet. Both were okay! I had a glass of red wine that was good and I'd be interested in returning for the flights! They gave us roses before leaving which was a really cute and thoughtful touch for Valentine's Day. Overall, a decent experience and I'd be interested in trying again!

The restaurant had some people dining in but they were not overly packed. Initially our server was pleasant and attentive. I got a blood orange sparkling water. It was ok. I ordered the whipped ricotta for an appetizer to share and a burger with fries for my entree. The whipped ricotta was ok. It would taste better with some sort of seasoning in it. My fries were served hot but needed some salt. I asked for my burger to be cooked well done but I was brought a burnt burger. I took one bite but it was too overcooked. I then requested that my server have my burger be cooked medium well so I didn't get another burnt burger. When my burger was brought back out, our server had me cut into my burger to make sure it was to my liking. The preparation was better but it was bland and tasted like there wasn't any seasoning on it. After this our server wasn't as attentive anymore. For dessert we got the donuts. They were served warm and I enjoyed them with the cherry sauce. I did not like the chocolate sauce that was served with the donuts.
