We were amazed at how clean the city was and how welcoming the businesses were. Until we stopped at this unwelcoming bar. We had dinner at really nice dinner Granny's Rrstaurant and stopped for a drink after at the Silver Dollar Bar and Grill. While sitting at the bar, we observed a woman grab a plastic cup off a stack. Another cup stuck to the 1st cup. The woman removed the 2nd cup by sticking her hand in the cup and then putting the cup back on the stack. We told her she should keep that cup instead. She said it was no big deal and none of our business. She then walked behind us and was bad mouthing us. We felt very threatened. I took the dirty cup and handed it to a bartender and asked him to put it in the garbage. The woman then went behind the bar and dramatically threw the cup in the garbage while continuing to slur words at us. We were astounded at this display of aggression. The bartender then said "You must not be from around here and you should mind your own business!" SHE'S THE OWNER AND CAN DO ANYTHING SHE WANTS TO. We were then kicked out of the bar even though we had just ordered and paid for our drinks. There are so many other nice bars in Cody you can skip this one.

I've been here once, (don't live in Sheridan anymore), but went to this place & it was pretty lively for a hick town. It's not your typical country bar like the Mint or the Beaver Creek -- even though there is Western decor, Rails is trying! The layout of the place is different - the entrance on broadway, you walk in & are immediately in this small lobby by the bathrooms - to your left is the area with the pool tables & the dance floor, to your right is the bar. From what I remember, there also was blacklights. I don't believe there was a cover charge, but as far as drinks go, I felt a bit rip off. First, you know the place is somewhat cheap when your drink is in a plastic cup with a huge COORS logo -- but besides that, my drink had way too much ice, so I didn't get much product in the cup! I was not happy since the drink was about 6$. Also there is smoking allowed inside...BEWARE... I purchased their 1314 Barrel Aged Anniversary Ale for 2023. This Ale has had apparently a couple different versions and I believe they get discontinued once the anniversary for the business has passed and stock has run out. Which I suppose accounts for the extra cost I spent here for this beer and maybe some bragging rights since the beer is now out of production. This Ale is categorized as a Strong Ale of English style and it certainly lives up to that description very, very well. Flavor highlights with this beer are Boozy, Strong and Bourbon flavors and essences. The beer comes in at 11.7% ABV and it certainly feels it but if you are in the mood for a nice, strong beer then the 1314 is definitely a good candidate but snatch it up if you see it since it isn't consistently available. I imagine however there will be 2024 version coming out in which it could be slightly different.
