Came here for dinner the first night and its a street over from the main street in downtown Cody. Similar to a few other reviews, we didn't have reservations for a 5:30 seating and nor were we greeted. It took a bit of time to be acknowledged and seated, but once that did take place, it was smooth from there. Ordered the special which was a flank steak with crispy polenta and arugula salad. The steak was amazing - seasoned well, perfectly medium and tender. The crispy polenta was delicious, keep that on the menu please. The arugula was a little rough and wilted. We also ordered the lamb gnocchi and everything on the plate worked - the pesto sauce, generous tender lamb meatballs, the dark cherry sauce, etc. A great place with good food! read more

We came in for a late breakfast and I ordered the breakfast sandwich. The breakfast sandwich comes with Fontina scrambled eggs, bacon, avocado, tomato & garlic aioli on a focaccia. Stopped by for an early dinner, 4pm on a Tuesday. Was told it was still "happy hour" and here that means a LIMITED MENU. 6" pizzas and a few appetizers. Disappointed the menu was not available I still stayed and ordered a 6" mushroom pizza. Pizza was good! Also had tiramisu for dessert and it was light on the coffee flavor but the portion size was huge. Would like to try the full menu another day. read more

Recommend going for happy hour if you are looking for a small treat! 6" pizzas are $10-13, which is super reasonable. I opted for the sweet heat and it was perfect! I have gluten and dairy allergies, and the staff made the accommodations seamlessly, which I really appreciated. The lamb burger was hands down the best burger we've ever had--an absolute must-order. What more can you ask for? Delicious food (I had the NY strip, well cooked and seasoned, sauce tasty and potatoes ALSO cooked well!), staff was very friendly, and interior had a wonderful vibe. I don't usually eat at restaurants that have less than 4 stars but when I looked at their unique menu we decided to give it a try. EVERYTHING we had last evening was delicious but their salads are top notch. I had the house salad and my husband got the Caesar and said it's the best he's ever had. I also had the crab cakes (yummy) and he had the smoked wings with an espresso bbq sauce which was off the chart delicious. We went back for lunch today and got the wood fired pizza with mushrooms, prosciutto and quality cheese that brought the whole thing together. So glad we didn't let the ratings scare us away. Although we did not try every restaurant in Cody, I can't imagine they're being a better one than trailhead. read more

A nice and popular place. Friendly and helpful staff. A nicely decorated restaurant with plenty of seating. My friend ordered a cheese pizza that was really good. I ordered cheeseburger. This is a tough one for me, wish I could give it More stars. This is obviously the nicest restaurant in town and it was a Sunday, we are not locals just passing thru. We arrived at 4:30 and the place was empty. Asked if they had room for four and the hostess said she had to check. I added we would be quick as we had a lot more driving to do. She seemed super agitated and honestly just wish she had said, "Sorry we are full." Finally she said she could make room and had to move some things around. So she added two seats to the two top by the door. We are big people, 6.2, 6.4 and 6.6, 5.8 - so I asked if we could sit at any of the open tables in the rest of the restaurant that had more room. She said they were all reserved. So I sat with my shoulder on the emergency fire alarm and we all crammed around the table by the door. Food was wonderful. Super $$$ but worth it. Our waitress was great until our food was served then she went MIA. So all of this to say if you aren't a local you will probably be treated as such, but the food fantastic and worth a bit of abuse whomever is cooking is doing a great job. But no small town love or warmth from the staff which is odd given all our other experiences in Montana and Wyoming. If we had felt welcomed this would be a 5 star review! And not that it matters but we did spend over $250 so it's not like we took up space for some ice water and a pizza! When we left we said thank you and the gal didn't even look up. read more

To drink they had soo many great cocktails! Seriously soo good! They had an Italian lemon drop that I loved and a mezcal and Melbec drink that was different and amazing! I love mezcal and melbec wine so I was shocked how good it was. For the food, everything was amazing!! We ordered the half order of oysters, $27 at the time as their market price. They were soo good and warm. And their gluten free pizza was soo good! Best crust I've ever had! I got the Fungi and it was amazing, definitely will miss their pizza. Top notch. That's what comes to mind when I think of this spot. We pulled into Cody after a long day and a decent drive in Yellowstone, hungry and a little tired. We were quickly greeted and seated by the hostess, and our server made her way over to get us started. The scene there is a little bit of a mix between country restaurant/sports bar with a little bit of modern industrial all at the same time, but it goes together well enough. They were a little busy, but we never had to look around to find service if we needed it, because everything was provided the first time. I wanted to try their wood fired pizza , and definitely wanted a salad to go with it. Also put on order was the soup of the day. Food came out in a reasonable time, and we got right to it. The Caesar salad- fresh and tasty, just enough dressing and cheese topping, and the house made croutons were perfect. The soup - potato and bacon was tasty and nice on a rainy evening , and the pizza... man, the pizza . Crust ? Perfect . Toppings? Plentiful and fresh. Served hot out of the oven and a perfect size for one hungry traveler to maul. Easily makes it into the top 5 pizzas I've had, and I've tried a bunnnnnnch of em. Don't let the name fool you. This place is WELL better than your local pizza joint. In fact I'm certain that the head chef was well trained at a four star restaurant before taking base here. The food here is OUTSTANDINGLY GOOD. Absolutely 5 stars. A great drink, wine and delicious desert menu round our what I would say is the BEST restaurant in Cody. Not sure on the limited hours, but I'm sure there is a reason for that. We got there before the busy rush, which happens quickly. Overall the best restaurant in the area. We stopped in for a bite on a recommendation from a local. The space is well decorated and inviting but not so much the staff. We may have caught on a bad night, but there were many more servers than I would expect for the size of restaurant and they all had sour faces and were clumped together talking rather than working. It was a very awkward feeling as the vibe was just off. Fortunately we sat at the bar and the bartender Melanie was kind, helpful, and attentive. She was the standout of the whole experience. We shared Brussels sprouts (ok, but a tad too sweet with the maple syrup sauce), a burger (flavorful but overcooked), and the star of the show: risotto which was simply delish. This place filled our bellies and Melanie was cheerful though clearly stretched thin so it was decent, but I would try another place if I were to visit Cody again. read more

The Brussels sprouts were a bit over roasted more crunch than flavor. I don't think I would order those again but the sea scallops were very tender and flavorful! We got the Fungi and Pepperoni. I also ordered the appetizer special which were Chipotle pineapple wings. The other entrees also sounded amazing. If we had been hungrier, we definitely would have indulged. 4 stars because the service was a little lacking - the wings arrived but we had to wait for plates, the pizza arrived and we had to wait for pepper flakes, the bill took more than 15 min to come back, etc. Come for the food. It's sad I'm giving my favorite restaurant in Cody 3 stars. I will say, when the food is right, it's 5 stars. BEWARE if you have a gluten allergy or intolerance. I have EOE, so when I eat gluten, I become very inflamed. Their GF food is great, but it's been 3 separate occasions now where I was served regular pizza crust or a regular bun with my burger. I very politely pointed out to the waitress that my pizza was not GF like I'd ordered (I've eaten them a lot, so I do know what the GF crust should be like), and she INSISTED it was GF and refused to take it back...long story short, it was not GF. After eating some of it, I encouraged her to take it back to the kitchen. She gave me a pathetic apology, BUT she did take it off the bill thankfully. Twice now on two separate occasions when ordering a burger on GF toast, I specifically asked the waitress if the bread was GF, both times saying yes, and they didn't even HAVE GF buns (I learned later from a more knowledgeable waitress) they only have GF toast. If they're going to serve GF, they should go above and beyond to ensure that's what they're actually serving and not act annoyed or bothered when I'm politely requesting they take a look. I stopped going there as often due to the rudeness of some of the staff and carelessness regarding food allergies. read more

Yummy! We had dinner here with our friends. My friend and I had the grilled Caesar. She had chicken, I had shrimp. Nothing bad to say about it at all. My husband had the elk and ate every delicious bite, except what I took from his plate. It was phenomenal. The sage cream was the perfect accompaniment. Our other friend had the seafood pasta. He ate it all. The clams were huge! Not only was the food great, but they had a very talented lady named Hope playing piano. She was lovely and played like an angel.
