Good Evening I recently book a room at your hotel for the night. We were given the sweet suite which was not exactly the "suite" we expect but that's fine. When I booked I EXPLAINED THE entire situation. That I was renting a suite for my sons birthday!!! That there would be children attending the party and swimming but would not be staying the night. I WOULD NOT HAVE BOOKED A SUITE at your hotel if I had been told the children could not swim. There were other hotel I would have booked at that would not have ruined my child's birthday!!!!!  I even asked for a refund so I could bring the party to another hotel and would leave without issue I contact another hotel and they were mover then happy to accommodate me and the party and allow them to swim and the man at the front desk was extremely rude to me and my partner. He stated it must have been a trainer that booked my room for me. (If your trainer screwed up that on you not on me and my children to suffer) Refused to give us a refund so we could bring the party to another hotel. Refused to let the children swim AND REFUSED TO GIVE ME YOUR NAME AND CONTACT INFORMATION AND REFUSED to give HIS NAME.  I have never been treated so horribly in my life. And for an employee to refuse a customer a way to contact management is ridiculous.  I understand completely if your hotel has specific rules. But if YOUR hotel gave me incorrect information and YOUR hotel can't accommodate then simply releasing us from the room and refunding us so we can allow the children to enjoy there evening elsewhere is the proper thing to do. Intentionally ruining child's party being rude and not giving us names and hotel information is ridiculous on so many levels. And we will not be using your hotel ever again in the future. read more

This place is nice and everyone who I came in cont act with was really nice too. Like super sweet. We got trapped in the Sault because of the storm and picked here to stay. Great choice! Location: It used to be on the edge of the city but the city caught up and now it's in the middle of a pretty big shopping area. It's by the big Walmart (and booster juice. Mmmmm booster juice). It's on the south east corner(ish) of its intersection. Parking: Tonnes of parking all around the building. There are a few side doors you can park near so you can park near your room. Parking is free, you just register your plate at the desk but I feel like nothing would happen to it if you didn't. Lobby Decor: It's really nice and open. Comfy seats near a fake but pretty fire place. It's very welcoming. The pictures they posted are EXACTLY the way it looks and feels. There's a tiny area you can buy the toiletries you forgot. Also you can enter the two restaurants attached to the hotel. Room Decor: Hallways are neutral but the rooms are nice. The photos of the rooms are EXACTLY how they looked! We had a standard room. $112 including breakfast for both of us. We felt really safe. It was clean, and everything was in good condition and modern. Bathroom was a bit smaller than I expected but still nice! How were the beds: So comfortable! Had a nice sleep. Luvved the pillows. Where can I get them?!?!? Breakfast: Breakfast was provided by Casey's Bar and Grill (attached to the building) I'm not counting it because it's from a third party otherwise I would have taken off a star because it was pretty crappy. Extras: Copy is the Sault Star for free in the lobby, there's a pretty great pool and gym. Theres apparently a free shuttle to the Hospital so you can stay there if you are visiting someone or having outpatient care Conclusion: Definitely will stay there again and would recommend it for a great mid priced clean, safe motel in the city!! read more

Had a wonderful experience at the hotel. Stayed in the Governor General Suite. Outdoor hot tub was very relaxing!

We celebrated a 60th birthday in the spectacular Governor General's suite! It really is beautiful. We also enjoyed the outdoor hot tub, and the live band in the bar was great. Simply put, our toilet did not flush. Need I say more? Beyond walls, floor, and a ceiling, is there anything more expected in a hotel room that a working toilet? Needless to say, we were quite shocked to find our toilet was not in working order. The customer service managed arranged for a service staffer to resurrect our toilet, but managed to make us feel as if she was providing us VIP treatment in doing so, ignoring the fact that fixing a bad toilet is, at best, a mitigating factor to catastrophe. With bureaucratic precision, she presented her company's policies in handling plumbing issues, room switches, comps, etc., which seems to indicate this is not an uncommon problem with the Water Tower Inn. When the customer service manager is more proficient in plumbing procedures than generally accepted customer service practices, then you'd be well advised to check in elsewhere. As if rebellious toilets aren't enough, the walls are thin -- between service calls for plumbing, we heard the rich snoring from the room next to us, hallway talkers, and so on. Consider yourself warned to find lodging elsewhere. The Water Tower Inn takes your money and runs. read more

Stayed here for the night while traveling with touring company. At the entrance I was greeted by a worker holding the door for us and handing out candies. Which is a very warm welcome. I didn't get to take advantage of their facilities, but there is a pool and mini gym if that's something you are looking for. There is of course, wifi available. Down at the lobby you will also find a restaurant that you can enjoy. But I was surprised that they did not have complimentary breakfast available. When you walk into the room you will find some chocolate on your night stand. The only thing I was not so impressed is the size of the washroom not being big enough. Well other than dirty linen, smokey hallway on second floor and an uncontrolled hotel full of kids and parents that are too busy being their kids "Friends" instead of parents and it leads you to a real awesome night in an what I heard was a nice hotel. It looked good, food was quite good with fantastic service at Casey's but the dirty sheets, unruly teenagers and pathetic parents blew the night stay for me. Better luck next time - I doubt if I will try this one again! read more

We were very pleased with our stay here. Two nights of lovely service form delightful staff and friendly folks. They could use one or two more handicapped parking spaces at the front entrance but we managed OK. The adjoining restaurant was fine as well for dinner but the veggie "stack" was a a half cup so a bit disappointing. Wife and I we're to celebrate my birthday at this location. We booked and secured a suite using prepaid Master card and I thought followed the hotels online policy. When arriving at the hotel the reception clerk not a hello/welcome/how are you, just plan out are you here to check in. It was almost as if I was interrupting her, stated yes and provided her with my name. Next she stated as if frustrated we been trying to reach you all day over which wine we'd prefer for the suite. My reply was the type and when I called back had left the reply. At this point my wife and I looked at each other what the heck, it was all in her tone/delivery. Worst was yet to come, she provided the amount and wanted me to run my credit card. She noticed the card didn't have a chip. I stated no it does not you need to swipe. This is where the fun started, sorry we don't take those cards - what? Didn't you read our policy! It's still a credit card with more than enough to secure the required amount. Never had a problem before with card. Nope can't approve will speak with manager who was serving customer next to us who had more of there attention than us. I've run into more friendly snakes then these two. The reply was basically the same not for a suite. My wife then asked what about cash - no. So my understanding they take prepaid credit cards and cash for regular rooms. Along with the suite was going to be meals and drinks. Instead of having any customer relations and maybe we take another room besides a suite they both returned to there duties and let us walk out. We're locals that live half hour away, imagine travelling for hours and being treated like sh*t. Well word of mouth travels far in this small city. read more

Stayed with our dog for 4 days. Place was very nice and the staff very helpful. If you were stuck in a snowstorm this is the place to be stuck. Spacious, clean rooms, an indoor pool, an indoor and outdoor hot tun, a sauna, a gym, a pub and a very good Casey's restaurant. Lovely place! read more

Room was in good shape and clean, and the customer service and accommodations have been great! Love the restaurant(s), gym, and pool/spa thus far. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I even met locals working out at the gym downstairs--a good sign that locals come here just for that! If I'm ever in the Soo again, I'd stay here. :) read more

I went to the Soo Lock's Boat Tour in Michigan and needed a place to stay for one night over the Labor Day weekend. The Water Tower Inn was one of the few hotels that had vacancies and I'm so glad I stayed there. As I was checking in, there was an rock'in band it at the Water Tower Pub. I was a bit tired, so I retired early. The bathroom, room, and bed were very clean. I took a shower with their super luxurious shampoo, cold cream bar soap, and bath soap. The bed and sheets were very comfortable. I slept like a baby and got 8 hours of sleep; and I ended up sleeping in a bit late. I went to do core exercises at their gym and then went for swimming. Their check out time is 12pm, and since I was already a bit late, I asked for a 1pm check out and they were very nice about it. I had some leftovers from the night before, which I kept in their mini fridge. I asked the front desk about a fork and a knife and they directed me to Starbucks. The barista at Starbucks was very nice and accommodating offered to put the leftovers on a ceramic plate, heat them up, and have me sit at their restaurant tables with real silverware. (Heart) (heart). This hotel obviously understands service--first class all the way. read more

Just a short drive from the Canada/USA border located in a quiet area so a person won't hear road noise when it's time to get some sleep. The bed mattress was extremely comfortable and the pillows were good quality. The room we had was very clean just like the rest of the hotel. WIFI in the room and in the restaurant was quite fast unlike other hotels I've stayed in the US,Canada, and Europe. It's really nice that Casey's Restaurant is connected to the hotel, Casey's serves a very nice breakfast buffet. All the employees were very nice and courteous. read more

My wife and I stayed at the Inn on the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. We are very thankful we stayed there! Everyone on staff was totally delightful. It was a holiday weekend and despite this all were in great cheer. The moment we arrived to the moment we left, it was great to deal with the staff of this establishment. We enjoyed our breakfast and dinner at Casey's and the bed...oh the bed! One of the funnier things to notice was just how spotless and shiny the stairwell floors and landings where!
