We were bar hopping in the area the other night and this bar was the bottom of our list. As soon as we walked in, it smelled like someone had done a poor job of cleaning up vomit. The bartender was sweet- one of the stars is for her! While she may have been sweet, the drinks were too strong and the coke in my drink was flat to boot. We stayed outside to consume our drinks. I was ogled by middle aged men the whole time I was walking in to use the facilities (very clean in there, another star for that) so, ladies- don't come alone. It looked like it could be a really fun place but I could not get over the stench and the bad drinks. read more

Cool little bar the wife and I tried out last night. I'm kind of an anal bartender so this may not seem important to some but I noticed the following: I ordered a Lynchburg lemonade (the bartender didn't know what that was so I had to tell her) & wife got a vodka cran. First, she scooped ice with the glasses. You NEVER scoop ice with the glass the drink will be served in. 2nd, she held our glasses by the top of the mouth of the glass. You NEVER do that. Nobody wants your germs. Not huge deals but it's just common sense. I'm on vacay so I probably wouldn't come back but I have to say the only things that impressed me were how they dont charge cover for fights and coronas on bottle are only $1 It's just another bar. read more

Cool little after work hangout spot. I like stopping by for a few drinks with friends. They show PPV fights on the big screen with free entry. I was surprised​ by​ the selection of beers. They carry a wide variety of craft brews. The drinks are priced to sell. The servers have always been friendly with us. Going to give it to you straight. I started coming here about a month ago and I loved it initially because the bartenders were so nice. I live in Austin now, so when I come to San Antonio I love to visit dive bars. Today, I went to The Watering Hole.... it's a Saturday.... it's dead for a Saturday. There is music on the Jukebox and I decided to play music and pay extra to put my music next in line. My songs get skipped mid song and the bartender (woman) plays it off like I didn't understand the process. The jukebox doesn't skip songs mid song! You skipped it. You lied AND you tried to make me feel like it wasn't a big deal. I paid extra money to have my song next. Fuck this place. :-) Go to Fourth Quarter, which is in the same area. They have great drink specials and their bartenders welcomed me with open arms. read more

Okay, so the low ratings were based on it not be crazy busy on a Saturday. For us introverted extroverts who want to leave our holes and grab a drink with our person, this place is the pace that we've been looking for. I'm not one to find yelling over thumping beats and being pushed and shoved and calling that an enjoyable night out. I enjoy being able to find a spot at the bar, grabbing a beer, and sitting down talking to my person at a normal volume level. This place is not everyone's cup of tea-- but don't worry, they do sell shots of whiskey for those that do see this place for the gem it is. read more

this is hands down the best bar in San Antonio . I've brought friends here from out of the country and they say it's the best bar they've ever been to. this bar has the best looking bartender's , 5 star service , and top of the line drinks . i would recommend this bar to my great grandparents if they were still alive . come check it out , you won't regret it read more

Only issue is the service is oriented toward the bartender's friends (whom have been there every time I have been there, which is about 10 times). I love this bar. It used to be Kinda run down, but now it has new screens, more draft options. I think it was a bit of an upgrade. Love the robert earl keen honey pilsner. So delicious. Tuesday night is pint night 3 dollar pints all night. Plus on Sunday during happy hour they have free food! I love free food! Friday is beer pong day, and the winner gets 100 cash. Kinda fun. But i didn't play. Plus it's always 20% off for service industry, which works, cuz I'm a bartender at a different bar down the street. I love the changes. Small little dive bar that has regular patrons. There are plenty of tv's to see sports on and I will be back for football season. They had a little patio area and a food truck was pulling up for the night crowd on a Tuesday. Please note that their Tuesday special is AFTER 8PM. Wish I knew that before coming after work at 5PM. Bartender was nice and fast with drink orders. read more

I'd rate it lower if it allowed. Tonight 2/16/20 there was a young woman working who had no business trying to serve a drink. She was completely inebriated and trying to fight my friend who was with our party. How someone is allowed to work while 100% intoxicated is beyond me. As an establishment you need to control your staff yet alone your business. Needless to say I'd never recommend this place. read more

It's a good bar and very chill I quite enjoyed it. I have to give it one star because when I closed out my tab which was like 90 dlr tab the waitress attacked us in front of all the patrons for not leaving a big enough tip. This was quite disturbing because she pointed it out in front of all the patrons and triggered my cousin's PTSD. He served in Afghanistan. It was just horrible. I have been in San Antonio for only about a year now and this bar has given me a reason to believe that people in San Antonio are awesome, that one guy who left a review about bar tender attacking him, it was after 2 o clock and the bar tender was just trying to get them out of the bar because the bar closes at 2 like any other bar in San antonio and they took it as if it was because they left a bad tip, I was at that bar that night and I do not agree with them, I will definitely will keep coming here. read more
