    Soggy fries hurt my heart.

Back in San Antonio for Thanksgiving and a friend recommended we meet at Mad Pecker for drinks & dinner. I haven't been to this spot in 7 years according to help..f*ck I'm old. Anyway, the place is much like I remember: a small little pub with plenty of seating. The bartenders are friendly and the food was pretty good. It had a Cheers-like atmosphere because all the people in the place knew my friends. It seems like a pub that has regulars. I kind of like the vibe. Super friendly people, decent pub food, and good beer. What more do you need? Great spot if you're on/near the far west side of San Antonio. Sort of hidden off the main highways but that just means that on a Friday night it wasn't crowded at all. Happy to recommend.

Came here for a meal and drink after a long day. Service was okay, took a lot of time to come to us on several occasions and there wasn't that many people. The beer selection was subpar. The vibes were okay, the music helped. My friend got a pulled pork sandwich and said it was overly greasy so he could barely eat it. The only reason why I'm giving this a 3 star is for the ambiance and the cheese bites! Those were spectacular!

I'll admit without the cool name, I'd never visit. And, even then, not at night, as it's in a small strip mall, with massage parlor and maybe a tattoo place. It's not the establishment's fault that Texas isn't friendlier for Al Fresco Dining and I was outside with my three dogs sweating in % HUMIDITY and no less a swarm of flies than descended to plague Pharos' Egypt whilst gobbling down excellent fried pickles and guzzling a couple of nice Mexican style ales before insects carried too much away Service was prompt and friendly. I may even say sympathetic. We all wished I could come inside. Instead, I ordered Hawaiian Pizza to go. Crust was good, but toppings seemed skimpy and carelessly applied (see photo).

Thank you to my fellow Houston elites your reviews! That's how we settled on this place. I was a little hesitant when we pulled up, it's located on the end of a shady looking strip mall type thing. We walked in and right away you know the owner is a hip hop lover. Especially the homage to MF DOOM. I don't drink beer, but that's why most come here probably. The menu looked super enticing too. I ordered the bacon Mac and cheese for the table. It was beyond salty, but I love salt. Idk if it's usually that salty, it was a bit much. The mushroom burger was good and the fries were the bomb. I love crispy fries. The Astros game was on for baseball lovers like me! Go 'Stros. Our waiter was super friendly. Just a good all round vibe going on. Bar seating, high tops and a regular tables. Also seating outside. All types of patrons. Folks there for the game, couples, families. You name it. When in the area, I'd definitely hit up again!

The service was good and I liked how huge the portion of the Madchos, even though I got the half order. Nice ambiance during a football game but not too crazy.

THANK YOU, BENJAMIN! Absolutely excellent service! There were two different burgers that sounded delicious, so I combined them into one burger and freaking delicious! Fried pickles were great and the kids pizzas are pretty big... probably around 10". So glad we found this place on a whim. Great place to grab a brew and a burger.

    Dad Bod Burger. Just ridiculous.

Had the Father's Day "Dad-Bod" burger. Holy hell. That's up there with the best burgers I've ever had. Since reopening, the tap list is slowly growing back to what it used to be. My server Gabby, was attentive and very pleasant, which was awesome considering she is a new staff member. The chef even came out to ask how the food was. Tap room had a super chill vibe. Great visit. Recommend 10/10.

Amazing food and beers. Very casual and kind of obscure location. Loved the unpretentiousness and the good food and beer. The Ridge Creek Blonde hopped with belma was a delight. The Ripper with 15% alcohol was dangerously smooth. .No bottled take outs.

It's been a few years since I last wrote a review, partly because I moved further away and haven't been back as often as I'd like. But now that I moved close again, it's time for an update. Years have gone by and they're still A+ in my opinion. Great beer, great food, great service, great atmosphere. This time my fiancé and I ordered the poutine and nachos, plus a couple of beers for our Friday night. Not only was it super quick, everything was phenomenal. Hands down one of my favorite places... ever. Will always continue to be back!

I have driven by this place millions of times as my folks live only 10 mins away and never thought to give it a try. After a little local shopping we were hungry and decided to pop in. So glad we did! Service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive, helpful and so sweet. The food was fresh, flavorful and perfectly cooked. Sometimes fried mushrooms can be too salty or overly breaded. Not here. They were perfect. The fish and chips were also fantastic. Not too thick with the batter and perfectly flaky. Oh and don't forget to pair your meal with a salad. Their croutons are house made and so fluffy and fresh. Definitely will be back because they have some great daily specials like sirloin plate for $13.99 on Mondays. Can't beat that!

From the moment we stepped into 6 Klicks Cafe, the vibe was immediate--warm, welcoming, and real. Not forced, not corporate. Just genuine energy. The kind of place where you already know you're about to eat good before you even see the menu. The Food I ordered the grilled chicken marsala, and they didn't just throw it on a plate--they presented it. Everything looked intentional. * Chicken cooked perfectly * Sauce was on point * Mashed potatoes? Had me wanting the recipe after one bite * Green beans with sausage and onion--straight comfort food I also tried the chicken tenders, fries, and Texas toast--everything was done right. Crispy where it needed to be, flavorful across the board. Portion size? Let's be real, it felt like they made the plate for two people. ________________________________________ ‍ Service Service was top-tier. * Greeted immediately * Server knew the menu and helped us decide * Drinks came fast (shoutout to that blackberry tea ) * Food came out in under 10 minutes No waiting, no confusion, no "let me check on that" energy. Just smooth. ________________________________________ Atmosphere This place has identity. It's not trying to be trendy--it's authentic. You can feel the story behind it. Veteran-owned, patriotic, and built with intention. It's the kind of spot where you could sit, eat, and talk for hours without feeling rushed. Family vibe all day. ________________________________________ Price vs Value Not the cheapest--but worth it. When the portions are big, the food is made right, and the experience is solid... the price makes sense. ________________________________________ Final Verdict 10/10 (with no real complaints) This isn't just somewhere you eat. This is somewhere you go when you want real food, real service, and a real atmosphere. I'll definitely be back I'd recommend it without hesitation Not a one-and-done spot--this is a regular rotation type place

Walk in the atmosphere is super cool, very subtle but has ties to seafood restaurants that we had visited in the Boston area, which was kind of nice. The service staff was very friendly, and the food was quick to come out We had oysters on the half show, which were absolutely delicious. They have three different kinds, and the server was knowledgeable enough to explain to us what the different kinds were, size, graininess, and other intangibles that would help us make our decision, and I'm glad he did because we got the Gulf oysters and they were awesome My wife had a Lobster and shrimp roll, which was one of the most delicious things I think I've ever tasted in a seafood restaurant, I went standard with fish and chips, and they were quite amazing, battered properly, lightly fried, golden brown, hot and juicy on the inside, with very little grease residue, five out of five would definitely eat those Again.
