Before passing judgement on my review, I want to encourage you (the reader) to look at my other reviews. Now, I made reservations for 6p and the only thing they had left was outside seating. The hostess attempted to put our party in the only table in direct sunlight, even though there was NO one else sitting outside. The water tasted like Well Water The Sweet tea tasted like it was made with Agave. That was a pleasant surprise and an excellent way to cover up the overwhelming well water taste in the water they used to brew the tea. We waited an entire hour to get our food. I had a burger, my kid had a butter noodle dish. Very simple to make, but the ticket time was slow. Too slow. We sat at this place for over 2hrs, so they don't turn over tables very well The wait staff and the kitchen are very clever with their hustle. Food wasn't hot, and the martinis are made with SEVERAL extra olives so they take up more room in the glass. We spent $112 on the total bill, and we won't be back. Zazu in Opelika or the Grove Station in Tallasee have similar vibes, and better quality food for more reasonable prices. Good luck dining! read more

Great location, exceptional food- great chef, staff is not properly trained. But they are new, a very classy place. It's pricey and loud but they are working out the bugs- issues I hope. I would go back again, seating is key. We had our back to bus/ service station and staff was hanging around chatting so we had a hard time conversing. The place is stunningly beautiful, The salad, fish, and steak kabobs all were great. Portions were a little small. See menu for drink and entree prices. From the moment we walked in until we left the staff was amazing. We arrived early, before our reservation so we sat at the bar. The bartenders were super helpful in suggesting a red and a mixed drink. The Apple Butter Old Fashion was awesome! Once our table was available the hostess sat us. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu. My bride had the pasta and I had the pork chop. My goodness they were both good! The pasta was our favorite. After our meal our waitress surprised us with a free dessert being that it was brides birthday. Super good vibes, great food, and even better staff. We'll be back! read more

Waverly Local is a little gem that is worth the stop if you are ever visiting nearby Auburn. A ways off of Highway 280, it has a down to earth but clean vibe and atmosphere, with great restaurant layout and service. You have the option of either ordering off the menu or partaking in the buffet; I can speak to the strengths of the former and highly recommend their chicken club sandwich. Only knock I have is the live music can drown out your smalltalk as the restaurant itself is quite small, but the talent from what I've heard is good so at least you can enjoy the music. read more

We have been here soo many times for both brunch and dinner. We always love grabbing a drink at the bar before we are seated, their cocktails are always delicious. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu- especially the French toast bites!!! read more

Quality food, cool vibe and an indoor and outdoor dining/bar option. My wife and I had cocktails at the bar while we waited on our reservation time. Make sure you get a reservation as the dining area is small and this place gets very busy Thursday through Saturday. We had the pimento cheese appetizer, crawfish bisque, fresh fish special (red fish that evening), Mac and cheese, then cheese cake and chocolate pudding...it was all great! We have been here about 6 times and have never had a bad meal! Everything is wonderful and the service is impeccable. Recently my husband and I shared the ribeye and it was plenty for 2 people. The food was great. I arrived at 5:30, just an hour shy of their major dinner rush. If you don't have a reservation on a Friday night you may not eat. Because I arrived so early the hostess sat us at the only table in the bar area. I had the Roasted Ranch Pork. It was over a bed of greens and mashed potatoes. It was some of the most tender meet I've had in a long time; it literally fell apart. The ambiance was great. It's a great date night spot, or in my case "old friend catch up spot." I drove 120 miles from Birmingham to come to the Waverly local and it did not disappoint. I had the pan-seared grouper on a bed of greens that were amazing in itself. The Alabama spiced pecans for starters were great. The desert was coconut cake probably the best I've ever had. I will definitely make the drive from Birmingham again. The Lavender Lemondrop cocktail is divine! You'll def want more than one. Start with the pimento appetizer. The bread that comes with it is sinful. For dinner, order the pork! It sits atop the most flavorful tomato pudding. I didn't even know that was a thing, but it's amazing. And whatever you do, don't leave without trying the macaroni. It is overpriced, overrated, and over there. If farm to table means a Sysco truck, it is the best restaurant in the area. I watched them unload the truck. Most of their produce was from nations with lax regulations. Can you say E. Coli? After being put outside like dogs, my wife and I had to wait for our drinks and salads. The plating was horrible, and they obviously had not let the meat rest before serving, so our plates were soaked. It came across as a off the beaten path dive that is run as a permanently overbooked, understaffed money pit that survives precariously on its hyper inflated, unearned reputation that is most likely perpetuated by its inebriated customers who lack sufficient reference standards to know what quality food actually is. I also happen to know that it barely cleared $100,000 worth of business last year, which is hardly characteristic of a restaurant that claims to serve haute cuisine. Stupid is as stupid serves and stupidity allows. read more

Great place for Sunday brunch. Better make a reservation because this place is packed out. We enjoyed breakfast in the porch and even in November it was very nice. They had a great food selection and a good cup of coffee. Everything we had was good so whether you want a burger or an omelette, you can't go wrong. We stopped in the Waverly Local for the first time on Saturday. It's a bit off the beaten path but worth the drive. I had the braised pork shoulder with roasted potatoes and it was fantastic. It's was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The rice side was good but not memorable. My mom had the coconut cake and it was to die for. I had the cheesecake and it was one of the best I e had anywhere. A real surprise! Located (logically enough ) in Waverly, AL this is a surprisingly good restaurant! They have a very good staff and the food is very good. They are located in such an unassuming building that you could very easily drive right past it. The interior is pleasant and comfortable though. Well worth the trip. read more

This is a gorgeous little spot about 20 mins from Auburn. It's a quick shot down 280 and is absolutely worth the drive. We ordered the spiced pecans, the smoked chicken with broccolini, the ribeye, the mac and cheese, and fries. I don't say this often about restaurants, but I had no criticism whatsoever for the meal! Usually there's a side or some aspect of a meal that could be done better, but every single component was perfectly seasoned and well cooked. The smoked chicken was juicy, tender, and had a great heat balance with a rub that went all the way to the bone. The steak had a beautiful sear and was well seasoned. The macaroni was delicious and velvety. The pecans are dynamite, I could probably eat a pound of them as a snack. The management and staff are helpful and friendly, and I really hope this place does well. We'll certainly be back! read more
