Decided to try somewhere different for our 21st anniversary and so glad we did!!! From the drinks to dessert everything was top notch!

Me and a friend agreed to meet up here for Sunday brunch. Upon arrival , we were seated in the front dining space near the bar (at a little table) lol Our server was pleasant and was pretty prompt in taking our drink and food orders. Their brunch menu isn't huge but highlights those main dishes most people enjoy for brunch. I ordered the chicken and waffle. My friend ordered shrimp and grits. We both were starving so we were excited when the food came out as quickly as it did. Me and my friend both enjoyed our selections. I would request no cinnamon on the waffle next time ... it was a bit too potent. Everything else was fine. Of course brunch isn't complete w/o a few mimosas! The bartender was amazing and friendly to chat with. Our first visit to Sticks N Stones was fun and checked all the boxes. We will definitely be back again soon!

Went to Sticks-N-Stones Cocktail Bar for Galentine's with my girls and it was such a vibe. Very grown and sexy atmosphere. They were hosting singles night and gave out roses and champagne which was a super cute touch. I had the steak frites special and it melted in my mouth. Soooooo sooooo good....clearly... empty plate They got bonus points from me for the bathroom being stocked with women's essentials and toothpicks. The details matter. I will for sure be back!!!

We decided to stop into Sticks and Stones before doing some Duck Bowling at Tap Ins. This is a perfect date night combination especially since they are right next door to each other. You can grab dinner at Sticks N Stones then enjoy an activity at Tap Ins. Sticks and Stones offers shareables as well as entrees. The shareables include chicken wings, a hummus plate and a charcuterie board. The charcuterie board was a little pricey. Entrees include the Short Ribs and a burger. The $25 burger was a little high for my tastes, but I have not tried it. The cocktail prices were not bad, and we were very impressed with the bar tender. She was very knowledgeable about the drinks. I appreciated that she went out of her way to make a Penicillin Mocktail for me. It was super delicious especially with the spiced simple syrup that they make in house. They had a nice music selection. I loved the disco music that was played.

We discovered this unspoken, timeless spot called Sticks and Stones. Our usual place was closed for Thanksgiving weekend, so I used Yelp to find nearby options. One place came up, and at first, we weren't sure if it was open, but we walked in and immediately felt good vibes. No TVs, just hip R&B and Funk music, with a beautiful L-shaped bar and friendly bartenders Chloe and Ian. The menu is minimal, offering tapas and small plates, but that's because everything is made in-house and is especially good. We started with a House cocktail, the Pear & Proper, which is magnificent. Then we ordered the Wedge salad, and it was divine. After that, we shared the Red Wine Braised Short Rib, which melts in your mouth--their signature dish. We finished with an espresso Martini and some great Calamari. This has become our new FAVORITE. Must try!!!

Oh what sweet spot. This black owned gem is nestled into a community in Hoover, AL. It's a quaint place with a beautiful ambiance. Dim lights, excellent service, and delicious drinks. We didn't try the food, but saw what others ordered and it looked extraordinary. The bar manager was friendly, inviting, and gave phenomenal service.

Had a wonderful lunch with friends. We have had the restaurant on our list to try for a while and are glad they are now open for lunch. Our server/bartender was great. I ordered a lemon drop and the Knox Square chicken sandwich w fries. The chicken sandwich is a popular pick and I can see why. It's delicious. The fries were good but could have been more hot when served (I ate them all). Nice environment to eat, chill and mingle. My friends enjoyed their meals too (wedge salad w chicken and steak frites). Will I return? Definitely

Came here for drinks and to celebrate Galentine's Day with my best friends and you can't get a better upscale bar and restaurant right in the heart of Hoover. The vibes were vibing. Great music played all night. We were treated to a rose and champagne for the evening which was nice. I had the special for the night: Steak Frites and the steak was cooked medium and was so tender. It was absolutely delicious. My friend had the burger and she said it was good as well. I definitely plan to come back and try more food options. Trice the owner was very personable and checked in on us throughout our visit and told us about their brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. I definitely plan to try that out as well. Highly recommend

Simply Beautiful! From the moment I walked in I knew I was going to have a great time. The drinks were superb and the bartenders were amazing! The drinks are worth the price and the Red Wine Braised Short Rib was tender/juicy! The owner came around and checked on everyone. Such a warm and cozy place to relax after work or any day!

Order the Ginny Hendrix! This place is new and fresh. Very tastefully decorated. We'd been planning to go for over a week. The day of our visit, we found out they had a special event that day and was closing at 6 (it had been announced. I just missed it). We arrived shortly after 4pm, then greeted and seated quickly. The server informed us of the early closure, kindly. Nothing felt rushed. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. The food was good. My friend highly recommends the salmon dish and the wings were described as very well seasoned. I had the hummus/pita and I would order it again. The drinks were fabulous.

What a great place to unwind with a sexy, mature, grown folk atmosphere. The menu selection was very pleasing. I ordered the salmon with the spicy cucumber salad. The bartenders were very sociable and on point. I ordered delicious proprietors Gold fashioned. The DJ played great music.

It was packed on a Friday night! But we were able to get a seat and stayed for about an hour. The restaurant is super cozy and well decorated. Upscale, so nice for a night out. The staff was very friendly and the owner was walking around, greeting and talking to everyone which was nice! We only went for drinks and dessert - but the food looked amazing! The upside down cheesecake was delicious. The whipped cream on the sides was smooth and light! We got the seasonal drink and the were pretty good!

We all agreed beforehand that we wanted to try a new place that felt pretty relaxed and had outdoor seating. This place gave everything, plus some! We didn't have to wait long for a table, and our waiter was very attentive & knowledgeable about the menu. He answered all of our questions & helped me decide what to order. The outdoor seating is spacious & it was nice to hear the live music coming from a neighboring business. My friends got the Goofy Foot drink & said that it was good but definitely on the stronger side w/the tequila. I opted for a glass of Riesling, it was delicious & paired perfectly with my meal. We didn't get any appetizers. I ordered the fish of the day: Red Snapper w/a Sweet Pea, Tomato & Saffron Risotto 20/10 I always judge food on whether it's "first bite" good & every piece on my plate passed the test. One of my friends chose the Smoked Salmon Pizza, which I was a bit skeptical about at first, but I tried a slice & it was so good. Definitely an out of the ordinary pizza combo that made me rethink all the ways smoked salmon can be used. Another friend ordered the Grilled Ribeye w/Brussel Sprouts & Mashed Potatoes, she loved it! The espresso martinis were also delicious. I wanted a cannoli for dessert but they were sold out, unfortunately. Overall, I'll definitely be returning b/c the food, pricing & atmosphere are all worth the drive. Can't wait to try the lunch menu next!

After being seated in the bar area, we were informed by our server that only appetizers were available. This was both confusing and disappointing, as it does not align with reasonable expectations for a restaurant still open for regular business. If the kitchen is no longer able or willing to prepare full menu items well before closing, that policy should be clearly communicated--either through adjusted hours or by informing guests upon arrival. Otherwise, it creates the impression of inconsistent operations or a lack of coordination between management and staff. Situations like this suggest a need for clearer operational standards, better communication, and stronger staff alignment with customer service expectations. Guests should not feel discouraged from dining simply because they arrive within what should be standard service hours. Overall, the experience reflects an opportunity for improvement in both management practices and customer hospitality.

It was about 30 minutes away from my house so I was indecisive if if I wanted to drive that far for food. This place is located in like a mini mall there weren't many cars out in the parking lot and they really weren't that many people inside. But you could tell there's regulars there because when we walked in they were like we don't recognize them lol It is not table service you order at the cash register what we used to call it. They do not have Coke products. They only have Pepsi so I ended up just getting a water. My son got a sweet tea that he liked. He started off with a beer, cheese dip, and that came with pita bread and chips. The server threw some toast and that was really good too. I ordered a cup of the French onion soup and it was delicious. I also ordered the Quattro (Four) cheese flatbread. My son ended up getting the spark burger with mac & cheese. He was dazzled by the burger, but not so much the mac & cheese. I ordered a water. He ordered a sweet tea. I had to ask for a refill for him and I never got a refill for my water. They really weren't a lot of people there so it wouldn't be hard to refill drinks. There is a bar there with a bartender it might be better to sit there so you can get more attention It was definitely a 70s 80s theme in there. In the bathroom, they had a cassette box with real cassettes in there. I really did like the decor. And they do have several TVs in there to watch sports. I'm not sure if I'll be back or not
