A few days before my appt, I cancelled the pedicure. The morning of my appt, I got a call, wanting to make sure that I knew my tech was out of town and I didn't have a manicure that day. Why would I know that? My manicure was still scheduled. After the person seeming annoyed, she said they could "squeeze me in" at my appt time. As a result, I spent the same amount of money on a manicure they rushed in half the time. The second time, manicure and pedicure scheduled again. The manicure was fine, not great. Had some lumps in the gel. They scheduled my manicure and pedicure an HOUR apart... so they told me to go shop or something? I came back at my appt time and my tech was just starting someone else's manicure. On top of that, one of the other techs looked at my appt and asked why they took off time from my appt slot. They were still going to charge the same though! The salon was supposed to close 30 min after my appt, and the tech was just going to rush me, so I told them to cancel that. She mapped my brows, did some color matching, and talked about expectations the day of the appointment. I felt very well-informed and comfortable in her hands and with Boss Gal in general. My appointment was the following week and it went as smooth as expected. And speaking of expectations Kayla provided me with an overview of what the next week or two would look like from the appearance of my brows to the healing process and everything else. On day two they were super dark, but as she advised they would soften over time and they did! Four weeks later was a touch-up and it was exactly what I needed. My brows look natural and match my face shape and hair color flawlessly. It's so nice to just wake up and get up and go, to not worry about penciling in my eyebrows and accidentally wiping one off! They always look great, are ridiculously inexpensive & when I'm ready for them to come off, I just rub oil into them a few times a day until they slide off. (I think they will actually remove them for you, but I've never had to use that service.). Much less (if any) damage than the super expensive, individual lashes. (Not to mention- I am a nightmare of a lash client. My eyes always water, and I have a hard time sitting still. Everyone is always so patient with me! I'd have fired myself as a client years ago!) Must also address: I saw some reviews commenting on lack of safety & Covid protocols. I've been a customer for 2 years. I go there at all different days & times, depending on my work schedule. Incident 1 - on 1/3/26 : Denial of Service Within the Grace Period On my most recent visit, I arrived four (4) minutes late for my appointment. According to European Wax Center's clearly stated policy, clients are allowed a nine (9) minute grace period. Despite being well within this timeframe, I was informed by two front desk staff members that my wax specialist had decided not to take me back and that I would need to reschedule. This was presented to me as a discretionary decision rather than a policy-based one. This is not the first time this has happened to me at this location, which suggests a recurring disregard for corporate policy rather than an isolated misunderstanding. Incident 2 - Closure Without Proper Notice (12/22/25) On December 22, 2025, I arrived for a scheduled appointment only to find the salon completely unattended. The doors were locked, and no staff were present. A handwritten note was posted stating that the salon was closed due to a fire, along with a non-working phone number. There was no advance notification, no follow-up communication, and no legitimate way to verify or address the situation at the time. This lack of professionalism, transparency, and accountability is unacceptable for a national brand. Ongoing Pattern of Poor Management The Easton location has developed a notoriously poor reputation for this type of conduct, impacting numerous customers--not just myself. Repeated cancellations, selective enforcement of policies, and lack of basic customer communication raise serious concerns about management oversight and franchise compliance. Unfortunately, these practices help explain why so many European Wax Center locations are reportedly struggling or closing. I am requesting that corporate leadership: 1. Investigate the Easton location's management and policy enforcement 2. Ensure that corporate grace-period policies are consistently honored 3. Address the lack of communication and accountability demonstrated on 12/22/25 4. Provide a formal response outlining corrective actions I chose European Wax Center expecting consistency, professionalism, and respect for published policies.
