I was quickly checked in and had an amazing service appointment with Angelita. I go to pay and I notice (too late) that the amount being charged is more than the online bundle price quoted. When I spoke to the gal at the front she was helpful but it would have been better had she caught the issue BEFORE I caught it as I was paying. Now I have to call the manager and take up her time to help correct this issue because now it's a matter of principle regardless of the amount.

As an avid waxer, I've had almost every waxing experience: the luxury $100 numbing cream Brazilian, to sugaring, to The European Wax Center waxing pack. My experience with Madalyn and The Wax Shack has been by far the best. First of all, Madalyn is so incredibly sweet. From the first appointment on, she has always been so fun to chat with. Her ability to strike up a conversation so easily seriously eliminates any of those pre-brazilian (this girl is about to stare at my vag) awkward feels. In addition, Madalyn is so good at what she does. She works quickly, but thoroughly. She is one of the rare waxers that I have gone to where I don't go home feeling like I need to pluck about 30 more hairs that were missed. Personally, I find her waxes to be less painful than others, but for those people out there who struggle through the pain of a Brazilian, Madalyn is able to coach you through the wax using a breathing technique to lessen the pain that seriously works. I can't go without saying that having paid up to $100 for a Brazilian before, Madalyn's prices cannot be beat. Her services are extremely affordable. In a few months, I will likely be moving an hour away from the area of The Wax Shack, but I will most definitely be making trips back to Santa Rosa, just to see her. I don't trust anyone else at this point. She is simply the best. read more

I met Madalyn last summer when I was very new to the world of brazilian waxing. I was still nervous about the process and was not sure if I was going to keep it up until I found Madalyn. My first appointment with her went so well that I was not nervous at all going into the second! She uses great breathing techniques that help through the process and is also very good about talking you through it if you are new. I also like that she pays attention to detail and you can tell she is committed to providing the best wax you can get! I would never go to anyone else and have been going to Madalyn for my waxing needs for about a year. Maintaining a brazilian wax is as simple as keeping up with my eyebrows now! Ive gone to Madalyn for my Brazilian wax and I can truly say I am more than satisfied with my results! I was the type of client that was very nervous to get a brazilian wax, not only is it a very personal area, I heard it can be painful! I went in for my first brazilian wax yesterday. I was pretty nervous and not looking forward to the pain, but Madalyn totally made me feel comfortable and assured me that it would be okay. Man was she right! Within 10 minutes I was all done, and could hardly believe how easy and pleasant she made the process. She taught me a breathing exercise that helped a lot. I go to Madalyn every four weeks for a Brazilian and it might be weird but it's something I look forward to. Madalyn is such a great spirit and so gentle and professional that it makes it seem like a relaxing trip to the hair stylist (no pun intended). Have been to Madalyns my last few waxes and to be honest, I had way better treatments before. She was in a really bad mood and smelled like she had too many glasses of wine at lunch. Something that a customer shouldn't be smelling. So I better look for something else. Too bad, because she is kind of close to my house! There had been a mix up in scheduling. I said I will come back tomorrow at 1030. I am looking forward to tomorrow and checking out Rachel's skills. Again, I really respect someone who apologizes, rather than blows someone off, very professional.
